We just spent 8 nights in Thomas & Julianne’s fabulous house. Such a great spacious and beautifully appointed home and we were truly blown away by it. Super comfortable beds and bedrooms for a great night’s sleep. It has an extremely well equipped kitchen and high spec bathrooms. Washing machine and dryer was also appreciated. Very quietly located, but within easy reach of Tromso (approx 1 hour) and 2 local grocery shops to pick up essential supplies. We were there for ski touring and were lucky enough to have tons of powder, but also saw the aurora from the house and close by in a darker (away from house/street lights etc) location. I would highly recommend if you enjoy nature and like a slightly more isolated spot to enjoy your holidays. It was a privilege to stay there and we would love to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this cabin. It’s a beautiful and peaceful cabin surrounded by nature. We were spoiled with some amazing Aurora views and made good use of the extras the cabin comes with. Snow shoes were available and needed 😊, three different sleighs to go downhill and an amazing sauna. Very good communication with host before and during our stay, we had a great time.

We had the most wonderful stay at Elin’s cabin on Ringvassøy. The cabin is situated in a beautiful location which is very private and peaceful. It makes you completely forget about the outside world and the stress of day to day life. The limited facilities make for a basic way of living which only adds to the experience of staying here. We were greeted by the local reindeer when we arrived, they made us feel very welcome! The whole stay felt so magical and calming, I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to find some peace and quiet. But make sure you are prepared! Finding the cabin wasn’t too difficult. Admittedly, we did accidentally drive past but when the roads are snowy the parking spot can be easy to miss. We were adequately stocked for food and supplies for the week, but there is a store nearby in Hansnes if you forget anything or need to top up. Just remember that it’s closed on Sundays! We will hopefully be back very soon. We certainly left a piece of our heart here.

Very nice country house in a quiet location on the island. Beautiful surroundings overlooking the sea. If you want to spend a quiet few days, this is the place to be. At the other end of the island there is delicious fish to buy and significantly more choice in the supermarkets than we thought
