Exceptional stay from start to finish. The den was an incredible little gem of a find Beautifully decorated, designed and well thought out. Immaculately clean throughout with everything and more you could ever need for a few days/weeks away. The little touches are adorable - from lavender bags on beds, molton brown products throughout etc. Lisa’s hosting was second to none and definitely the best we’ve had. So generous and thoughtful. The welcome hamper was stuff of dreams, filled with festive local treats that we were super grateful for and thoroughly enjoyed. Fabulous location- 5 mins to Robin hoods bay and Whitby. Couldn’t be happier. We would love to return If this is free - snap it up! It’s just marvellous 🤩 Thanks lisa for a wonderful new year! 🥂💖

Everything as described, the accommodation was absolutely spotless and warm. Good shower and extremely comfortable bed. Parking off road right in front of the property. Didn’t get to meet our hosts Kim & Colin, as they were both recovering from the flu. A cinder track walk can be accessed from the bridge or further down the road, a short walkable distance, just before the Windmill Inn pub. The bus stop on the way is also an honesty library with crates of books available. Hosts were very proactive and engaging by text and email, they live behind the property. The milk and biscuits left was a nice touch after a long journey. A small retail park is a short drive towards Whitby, Sainsbury’s, B&M etc with very cheap fuel compared to where we live. The Penny Hedge pub near the retail park does excellent meals and often has discount offers on. Ideal location for couples for Whitby, Scarborough or North Riding Forest Park. One visit isn’t enough.

This break was just what the Doctor ordered! I totally agree with previous reviews! Great location for walks, Coastal Path and Cinder Track close by. Nice friendly Pub a stones throw away from the Cottage that serve beautiful food at very reasonable prices. The Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable break! It was clean and warm with a nice box of biscuits with tea/coffee and milk to greet you on arrival! Many thanks, to you and your Daughter Emma!

Lowdale Cottage is ideally placed for exploring Whitby and the surrounding areas. The train station and bus stop are really handy - we hardly used the car during our 7 day stay as there are so many lovely walks from the door / via train or bus. We loved our stay here. Jane is very friendly and gave us some helpful suggestions of where to have a nice meal, although there are far too many to choose from in the area! The cottage itself is very homely and has a comfortable bed. It has a very secure back garden area, really suitable for our dog. Too many highlights to list, but must say, the homemade cake on arrival was delicious! And the flowers were a nice touch too. Thank you again Jane and Bryan.
