Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Soyaux

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

superbe petite maison ,très belle accueil ,maison au calme merci a Kelly pour son accueil ainsi qu'a son fils . petit remarque mais vraiment petite ,je pense que la télé serait la bien venu pour le soir . sinon très bien équipé. j'ai adoré la décoration tout est propre .

Wir hatten für 9 Nächte Hermines Haus gebucht, wurden sehr, sehr freundlichen von der Co-Gastgeberin Mélanie empfangen, die uns während unseres kompletten Aufenthalts sehr nett persönlich bzw. telefonisch betreut hat bei allen Fragen. Das Haus ist sehr schön, gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht. Für uns war die Lage ideal, denn wir mögen Ruhe und Zurückgezogenheit. Die umliegenden Ortschaften sind sehr klein und beschaulich, man kann aber in der Nähe einkaufen. Wir haben einige Radtouren unternommen, die Wege sind gut ausgebaut. Angoulème hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und eine perfekte Betreuung! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Achtung: Die Treppe ins Obergeschoss ist wunderschön aber nicht geeignet für Menschen, die nicht gut zu Fuß sind. Man darf sie nicht mit Schuhen betreten, sie hat keinen Handlauf und ist sehr unregelmäßig und glatt. Für uns war das aber kein Problem.

Le logement est d'une grande propreté, très fonctionnel et confortable muni d'un vrai coin salon où nous avons pu nous retrouver à 8 et, ce qui a été très agréable et surtout très pratique, 4 chambres meublées à l'identique et équipées d'une salle d'eau et de toilettes chacune. Un vrai plus ! Un seul bémol : le coin cuisine, même si fonctionnel et très bien équipé, est un peu trop petit. De plus, les propriétaires sont charmants et accueillants ! Bref, une adresse à conserver...

Logement très calme et agréable. Beaucoup de place et bien aménagé. j'ai passé un long séjour et j'ai apprécié cet endroit tout du long. Florence est très gentille et a l'écoute. Je recommande fortement.

1 nuit passée dans ce studio, entièrement autonome (cuisine, sbd, lave linge) et sur 2 niveaux. Arrivée flexible avec boîte à clé, parfait pour un ou plusieurs jours proche Angoulême.

Een prachtige plek, in een historisch chateau. Bij aankomst wordt je hartelijk ontvangen en rondgeleid. Er is volop rust, een zwembad en sportfaciliteiten op het terrein. Het dorp heeft een winkel, een bakker en een bar met eten en soms live muziek. Het huis heeft een fijne mix van Franse klasse en Engelse gezelligheid, en er zijn fijne buren. Wij hebben met ons gezin een heerlijke week gehad!

Séjour très agréable chez Stéphanie. Le logement est spacieux, bien équipé et très bien placé pour visiter la ville.

Dès le franchissement de la porte , nous rentrons dans un univers raffiné, et atypique. Très bel appartement , décoré avec goût en plein centre du village , tout les services sont à proximité . restaurants " la toscane" au pas de la porte , et un peu plus loin "aux caprices" accueil chaleureux et plats savoureux. Lovely stay with a spacious apartment. Nice and quiet even when you are less than 1km from busy areas. The host was very helpful and friendly and gave us information about different areas around France as we were travelling around for a week. Nice comfortable, clean bed.

maison agréable pour passer des moments en famille tout en ayant chacun un espace privé. nombreuses activités à faire dans le jardin vu la taille du terrain et des équipements présents. nous avons adoré notre séjour. merci

Très bon séjour dans cette belle et AUTHENTIQUE maison de famille au charme indéniable. Nous étions 4 adultes et 2 enfants de 3/4ans : les enfants ont adoré jouer dans le bac à sable/terrain de pétanque du jardin et la ferme pédagogique à proximité, nous les adultes nous avons adoré la grande cuisine conviviale et la salle de bain magistrale avec vue sur la campagne. Petit bonus pour la vaisselle : quel plaisir de manger dans de jolies assiettes vintage ! La maison est très ancienne, elle était donc un peu humide à notre arrivée (rien de surprenant vu la saison) mais une fois la cheminée lancée et la maison aérée, tout était normal. Bilan : un séjour campagnard paisible et ressourçant, merci beaucoup Katy 💚

The moment we walked into La Grenouillere, we knew we had made the perfect choice for our holiday in France. We were a party of 12 (three families) and felt we had so much space to spread out and relax, which we did so instantly. The positioning is wonderful, away from busy life, just nature and silence all around. Everything was lovely -beautiful building, large indoor living areas, wonderful outside spaces too with a fantastic pool, big enough for us all. The kitchen was well equiped for our cooking evenings, the barbeque was brilliant for outside cooking and a popular choice for all. Morning coffee on the back terrace overlooking the grounds was a great way to start the day as was sipping wine and beer sitting out the front watching the sun down and then star gazing . Playing boules on the ready made boules pitch was a highlight, so was playing cards round the kitchen table, big enough for us all. The surrounding area was beautiful and well used by us all, cycling or running on the many gravel paths criss crossing the countryside. There is plenty to do in and around the area-towns / cities to visit. We went to Angouleme and Poitiers and enjoyed eating outout and seeing the sites. We also enjoyed the canoeing at Mansle (wonderful to see the countryside from the meandering river on our 3 hour paddle), the inflatable water park near Angouleme was a big hit with our kids (big kids), as was the tree tops high ropes with us all. All in all we had an amazing experience and brilliant time. We were all very sad to leave.

The setting is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. The local town is 10 mins away, with a market. The property is a lovely old farmhouse, with lots of space and nice furniture, comfortable beds and a refreshing pool. Valerie made us feel very welcomed. A great place to unwind.

Hôte vraiment accueillant rien à dire tout était parfait logement correspond parfaitement au photo et vraiment propre je vous recommande vraiment de passer des week-ends ou vacance chez lui vraiment super vous ne regretterez pas je vous garantie 🙂🙂🙂

We had a great stay at Valerie’s house. Due to ferry delays we didn’t arrive at the house until 10.30pm. Valerie had left the house with lights on and the key in a safe place so we could check ourself in. The house itself is stylish. Interesting pictures on the walls, lovely furniture and amazing choices of colour schemes. It felt like a really good Airbnb experience where you got to experience someone else’s home. Kitchen was really well stocked, beds were comfortable and linen and towels were all fine. The pool was amazing. It was 38-40 degrees whilst we were there and the pool was a saviour. We have 3 x young children 3,5,7 so are always a bit nervous about pools but, for us, this pool was far enough away from the house and it had an alarm. There is no fence though, so something to think about with kids. The layout of the house is 2 x double bedrooms in one section. Then downstairs there is another bedroom that has the mezzanine. It was a great stay, would highly recommend.

Excellent séjour pour un week-end prolongé. Le temps était pluvieux mais la maison spacieuse et très agréable, avec de nombreuse activités possibles. Merci !
