Cottage vacation rentals in Southwold

It was an excellent place to stay with facilities including a darts board, small pool table and a very warm hot tub (40C). It was very homely. We throughly enjoyed our weekend away. Although if you are over 6ft, you will struggle to move around the place due to low beams and extremely narrow staircase leading to the master bedroom and twin room. It would have been nice to have milk to go with the excellent tea and coffee facilities in the kitchen as well. But there was a local Londis within a 5 minute walk. 10am was an early check out, considering the request to strip any used bedding.

We wasn’t there long but we felt right at home the cottage was clean and warm,Sarah put some eggs milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge for us nice touch,the hot tub was very inviting lovely and the games room was right up my street with the snooker table and the arcade machine also there was table tennis piano dartboard board games etc so something for everyone,peaceful and nice views well worth it,we had a lovely time cheers

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Swan Cottage, Mary and Neville were lovely, and check in was super easy. The cottage had everything you could need and was spotless. The bed was very comfortable! The hot tub was amazing, and the area is very quiet and peaceful, however not too far from anything. Mary showed us where to go for our swimming booking and gave us some local recommendations. We have already recommended to friends and family and would love to go back. Beautiful property in the the village of Reedham. A couple of local pubs, we recommend The Ship where we had a gorgeous dinner. Lovely local cafe and deli Cannells where we had a great breakfast before we went home. Also recommend Reedham Fish and Chip bar - the food was excellent We slept really well, excellent beds. Comfy corner sofa and plenty of logs to light the fire at night. Kitchen had everything we needed and my husband loved the bean to coffee machine. House was warm and heating was timed to meet our needs and boost where needed. Shower and water always hot. There is a hot tub although we didn’t use it but clear instructions on how to fire it up. Home from home really.

Jill was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage and surroundings were very scenic with beautiful gardens. We enjoyed the moorhens and their chicks in the pond. The hot tub was an added bonus.

Great location, really peaceful and isolated - just what was needed! Lovely property, great garden and hot tub was superb. Surrounding area is also ideal. Beccles has all you need and Southwold is beautiful.

The property was in superb condition, spotless and immaculately clean and presented. All fixtures and fittings were of great quality and there was a lovely welcome pack to greet us, containing local cakes, biscuits and so forth. We met Cindy and her husband Mark when they came to service the hot tub and they are delightful people. We spent time chatting during which they recommended restaurants, one of which we used (Buckinghamshire Arms) where we enjoyed Sunday lunch. Overall, a great experience, top notch Airbnb.

Thanks to Joanna and her colleagues for a great stay. We have two 7yr old girls and a 9 year old boy and they loved the place especially the hot tub & games room. Excellent location for day trips to beaches. Would absolutely recommend.

What a lovely cottage. Just a short walk from the pub. Lovely quiet roads for my wife to run and Norfolk is great for road cycling for me (no hills). Just a short hop from the coast and we saw thousands of Grey seals basking on the beach, the highlight of my year. The cottage was fantastic, clean and perfect for our stay. An extra unknown attraction was found just round the corner, a fantastic radar museum definitely worth a tour if you are into gadgets and memorabilia. Many thanks for a lovely weekend.

A lovely little place to stay right in central Southwold , meaning all amenities right on the doorstep. The shower was lovely and beds firm but comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the house includes a good size dining table too. The stairs to the top twin bedroom are very steep but we managed just fine. With our Labrador, it was perfect being just a 5 min walk to the wonderful sandy beach and also all the shops & cafes nearby. We enjoyed a really good meal at the Sail Loft which was about a 15 min walk in a Southern direction along the coastal road . The house can easily be accessed from the front or rear and the location is a standout highlight for a stay in delightful Southwold. Oh and a pint in the Nelson is a must, with its roaring fire if you need warming up! ). Love the Adnams shop at top end of the High St. Highly recommend and would happily return Thankyou.

Such a cozy and comfortable cottage. Its very well equipped, clean and decorated nicely. Jodi and James have thought of everything. There is also so much information on what to do locally. It is situated at the side of the road on a bend in the road, but the location is so quiet you dont notice the traffic, especially at night. Parking is a little tricky, but we never struggled to park a very short walk from the cottage. In all we will definatley be back, and look forward to snuggling up infront of the wood burner. What a lovely place to stay. There were so many personal touches to make us feel welcome including the personalised welcome boards, the variety of treats (for us and our dog) and the range of toiletries. The cottage is very well equipped throughout. We loved the view of the sunrise from the sitting room. It is very well located for visiting places of interest including Sutton Hoo. We've just come back from a 5 day stay and had a wonderful time. The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described and was the perfect size for us and our 4 year old son. The house was located in a lovely village but was also well connected to most of the major parts of Norfolk which was a bonus - we ended up going to ROARR twice during our stay as it was so close and our little boy was very happy! We definitely recommend Isobel's house as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Norfolk and we'll book again when we return next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beech cottage, beautiful inside and out, and had everything we needed for our stay as a family of four plus doggo. We loved the added extras on arrival, a lovely touch and the animals were a firm favourite with our two young girls. I'm certain we will be back.

We loved staying at Jens beautiful home. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. The location was great for what we were doing for the duration of our stay. Jen was always responsive, extremely helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Check in was easy and flexible. Lovely stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's over a long weekend. Super easy to locate the cottage and check in, Amanda had explained everything clearly and left us a nice welcoming pack. The cottage is cosy, great mattress in the master bedroom, and it was really nice to have the wood burning stove in the evening for that hygge feeling. Lovely walks on the doorstep which both we and the dog enjoyed between rain drops! Highly recommend.

Maria’s place was lovely, in such a beautiful environment surrounded by fields. The cottage was clean and with an amazing patio area overlooking the orchard. Maria provided all that was needed and took extra COVID measures. The kitchen was great. A very relaxing stay!

We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. The house is small, cosy, very clean and in a great location. Opposite a park and the village shop and just down the road from a pub. It suited us and our dog perfectly.

I always come back to Holydene. It is kept immaculately, the hosts are responsive and make my stay extra special with the small extra details they include. The location is ideal for my needs and Bardwell is a lovely country village. I have had an amazing experience renting this cottage. Really the best example of Airbnb working well.

Oak Cottage is an absolute gem of a place to stay. Great attention to detail and really well thought through. Lots of effort has been put into making sure your stay is wonderful. A perfect place to stay with a child - the outdoor and indoor play areas are brilliant, and were very popular with our two year old! There were thoughtful things like a stool and bathmat in the bathroom and plastic plates and cups in the kitchen for children too. We also appreciate large tea mugs! Hosts were great, friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to come and stay again (maybe in summer next time!) A new favourite.

Beautiful surroundings, loved being around all the nature, felt very private and tranquil. Would definitely recommend it to friends in the future and would stay here again when visiting Norwich

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location: opposite the pub and just down from the community run village shop. The cottage was beautifully clean and had everything we needed, and more! As mentioned in other reviews, a couple of the doorways are quite low and I bumped my head a few times - I'm 5' 10". If you're of a certain age and need to visit the bathroom during the night, you may like to know that it's downstairs! It was my wife's first visit to the Broads and we'll definitely be coming back soon!

Brooke’s cottage was a beautifully secluded spot. Exactly what I needed for some time away. Close to the coast and some lovely river walks - was a lovely, peaceful location. Amy’s communication was excellent, a brilliant host for whom nothing was too much trouble.

The Garden Cottage was absolutely fabulous and a hidden gem. Extremely comfortable,spacious and with every amenity you could wish for including a dishwasher and washing machine in a well appointed kitchen. The sunroom looked out onto a beautifully landscaped garden which we were free to roam. Watching the birds on the feeder was a joy. Feri and Steve were friendly,welcoming hosts. Can't recommend highly enough.
