Vacation rentals with a fireplace in South Thomaston

We had an absolutely wonderful month long stay at this lovely cottage. Walter could not have been a more gracious host and so accommodating and caring when we had some trouble with our car in the winter weather, felt right at home! The nature is stunning and we can’t wait to come back in the summer sometime :)

This place is as-described and then some. Private, secluded, and peaceful. You have the water to yourself and virtually no noise around you (other than what your group makes!). Wallace’s has pretty much anything you need grocery-wise and good breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Pizza is good, too. The house is stocked with all the basic necessities and consumables, and then some. Probably the best-stocked ABNB I’ve stayed at (all the way down to q-tips in the bathroom). Friendship is far off of the tourist path, but not too far to go see things. The house was a perfect fit for our group of six adults and four teens. They never ran out of things to do (including fast WiFi, unfortunately—dad speaking there, not a knock against the house). The owner was very responsive to messaging. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Shirin’s home was the most beautiful and relaxing location I’ve ever stayed in. The view, the sounds of the birds, the space- I couldn’t have asked for more on our hopefully annual Maine vacation. Boothbay Harbor has captured our hearts, and I cannot recommend staying here enough. Close enough to drive 6 minutes to Coastal Maine Boatnic Gardens and just a few minutes to downtown- parking has always been relatively easy (and free) on the street downtown. BOOK TODAY!

Stop scrolling & just book this amazing home! Randy is an excellent, gracious & very responsive host! Check-in was a breeze w/ wonderful detailed instructions for the house and region sent in advance. This house is awesome, pristine clean, beautifully decorated and outfitted. Totally turnkey set up as they thought of everything one might need to cook, relax, sleep, explore and enjoy your visit! It's very evident that these hosts want their guests to have an exceptional experience and we did! Beds were comfy along with plenty of high quality linens and supplies. We truly cannot wait to return on what will be our regular road trips to Maine! We toured Boothbay, Chebeague Island, Brunswick, Portland, Kennebunkport, Freeport and Ogunquit while we were there. Yarmouth is awesome with super friendly locals! Close by, we found Rosemont Market, Maggie Mae's Cafe and Royal River Grille convenient options among many good ones in the area. Thanks to our host for the wine & chocolate!

We had a wonderful time exploring the Maine coast from this central location at Owls Head. The house was very clean and comfortable, and very close to Rockland for restaurants and shopping. The lobster was a hit! I didn’t realize the included lobster would be delivered live. But Emily gave easy steaming instructions, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Easy, fun and delicious! Emily did a great job taking care of us.

Me and my friends had a lovely time at this lake house, the beds were comfy and there was more than enough room for sixteen of us. The place is very well taken care of and you can tell there is a lot of thought and work put into the home. All the amenities were amazing from the chair to the sauna everything worked great and the hot tub was to die for. We loved our stay and would 100% come again.

We had a wonderful stay at Aimee’s cabin! Nestled in the Maine woods, Aimee’s place was beautiful and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for our one-week stay. The bedrooms were very comfortable for our family of four (two adults/two kids). Conveniently located near Rockland -our favorite town in Midcoast Maine - as well as Camden and the beaches near Owls Head, we loved adventuring during the day and then coming home to such a peaceful retreat at night. We look forward to staying at Aimee’s place again!

The apartment was fantastic! It had everything we needed, and no clutter! Beautiful furnishings, modern, simple and comfortable. Surprised by the unexpected gorgeous view of the Narrows bridge at night - what a great seating alcove to enjoy it! Easily walkable to the waterfront and restaurants. We have come to depend on Warren's on the Waterfront and Bucksport House of Pizza over the past few years of visiting - this trip did not disappoint, the pizza and sandwiches are still top notch! We were here this time for our son's graduation from MMA, and although we rented a larger home for the younger guests and West Coast visitors, we chose this one for us, as a place to get away from the chaos of the larger home. It was simply perfect. Kudos to your housekeeping, the apartment was spotless and so welcoming - especially after a 13 hour drive from Maryland. Even though our son has graduated, we will be back. We just love the area. Thank You!!!

This is a great spot to stay while in Damariscotta - cute, peaceful and comfy, looks just like the photos. It's in a great location, right in town, and near multiple sights and activities, including 4 lighthouses in the mid-coast area - Pemaquid, Marshall Point, Owls Head, and Rockland Breakwater. You can grab the boat to Monhegan in Port Clyde or head up to the Farnsworth in Rockland and tons of other things - it's a fun area and this is a spot that can work nicely as a home base. I didn't see Valerie, but all of our interactions were very pleasant and she's very responsive.

I have stayed many times at this lovely spot in the heart of Hallowell, and that, in itself, should be all the validation you need to hit that "book now" button. It is literally a 2 minute walk to all of the shops, galleries and restaurants. I bring my Mom, and she loves to sit on the deck that overlooks Hallowell's historical homes and Pam's lovely gardens. Just can't recommend this place enough!

This is a great place to stay, even better than it appears in the photos. It was not just clean, it was immaculate - and for an extremely observant nurse - that was awesome. The unit had easy access with a slight gradient path and only two steps - which was very helpful for us as seniors. The firm bed was very comfortable. Barbara was responsive and thought of everything, including having delicious specialty coffee for us - Thanks. She even had a cooler in the closet for us to use when we went to Acadia National Park. Like I said, she truly thought of everything. If we return to this area of Maine, we would love to stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

I cannot say enough about Nancy, the unit I stayed in, or her hospitality! This apartment was perfect and cozy for my visit, with lots of personal touches and extras - if you need it, she’s already thought of it and has it ready for you. She was also very accommodating when my flight was cancelled and I had to shift my days around a bit. The personal touches were perfect - I had farm fresh eggs for breakfast and some delicious muffins too. A wonderful stay, thank you! I will most definitely be back! ❤️

Cute and cozy place—perfect for our two-night stay in Portland! Just a short drive to downtown, Bug Light Park, Cape Elizabeth (Bite Into Maine, food truck). Walking distance to coffee shops, the beach, and a lighthouse. Jess was a great host! Great location!

We absolutely adored Dan's space! It was clean, neat, and just as described. There's another trip in the works for July, and we're really looking forward to coming back. The neighborhood was peaceful and lovely for morning/evening walks. This whole trip was a cozy and endearing experience, we're super lucky to have found this home 💗 Dan was promptly commnucative and very funny!

Wonderful stay delightful Victorian home with great water views on the porch. We had a great breakfast with, farm garden fresh produce, homemade breads. Perfect location for visiting Camden and hiking the State Park. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing girls weekend getaway at Caroline’s place. Caroline is the most kind and sweet host. Absolutely loved our peaceful weekend. The property is beautiful and has beautiful views of the ocean. We also loved the breakfast!

We loved our stay at The Victorian By The Sea!! The inn and grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing and calming, breakfasts are scrumptious, the location is convenient to hiking in Camden Hills State Park and sightseeing and shopping in the lovely town of Camden, and the host, Caroline, is absolutely delightful, accommodating in making her guests comfortable, resourceful with touring tips, and an amazing cook and baker!

Matt’s place was welcoming comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Matt was always responsive within a few minutes. Matt’s place was conveniently located to Portland with restaurants and shops. Spent A day at Cape Elizabeth, Peaks island and dinner in Naple….. previous visit was to Boothbay Botanical garden Really a great state to visit!!!
