House vacation rentals in South Lakeland District

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

Absolutely gorgeous place. We loved being on the lake and and having access to it. Vanessa gave loads of recommendations and communicated well. Pictures matched the place. Wouldn't hesitate going back.

What can I say, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Jackie is an amazing host and could not be more accommodating and helpful. The caravan was so lovely and homely. Extremely clean with everything we could possibly need as a home from home. The beds were comfortable and we all had good nights sleep. Thank you so much for letting us stay.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

The Cottage was a great location for exploring the lakes and the area. The site was clean and tidy we used the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The cottage was clean and tidy and easily accessible. We had clear instructions and good communication with the hoards. . We will return beautiful breathtaking location.

We loved our stay here! The view of the lake and mountains from the living room was absolutely gorgeous and the location was perfect for exploring all of the Lake District. The whole house was absolutely spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was a little bit nervous that the home would be cold due to the energy saving measures but it was nice and toasty and comfortable all week! If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again!!

A very rare find in the lakes! Beautifully presented property which a huge amount of space. A great base for families or small groups of friends keen to explore the surrounding areas. Sarah was a perfect host, helping us with whatever we needed throughout the stay. We’ll do our very best to return!

Absolutely loved staying at Henry’s cottage, Natalia was very helpful fast responding and lovely 🥰 We stayed the night for my partners birthday asked Natalia if she could put banner & balloons up she did everything I asked for thank you so much ☺️ 5 star ⭐️ So clean & Tidy we will be back xxx

Very comfortable stay, amazing views, comfy sofa and beds, kitchen had lots of utensils, parking a bit tight but we expected that. Can’t beat the view.

What a wonderful place to stay whilst visiting the Lake District. The place was beautiful and situated just right for our sightseeing. We would definitely consider booking again when we’re next in the Uk and in the area.

We stayed at this beautiful house for a hen party with a group of 10 and had an absolutely amazing time! The space was perfect for our celebration—spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The large living and dining areas made it easy for us all to gather, play games, and enjoy meals together. The hot tub and sauna were an added bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the bedrooms were all a really good size with comfy beds. Highly recommend for a group getaway or special occasion.

We had a lovely weekend at this cottage located 25 minutes from Lake Windermere. Just as described, easy near by parking and very clean and tidy. Co-Hosts Paul and Sally Anne are extremely helpful and were very responsive with messages if we needed anything!

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location perfect for walking in the area. The kitchen very well equipped, comfortable bedrooms. The views from the lounge and the patio are absolutely stunning. The furnishings are a little sparse in the lounge also the stove is difficult to operate ( we did not manage) but overall we had a great time and we would highly recommend this place.

Lovely cottage in gorgeous Chapel Stile. A perfect base for walking the Langdale Pikes - my young boys want to do all the Wainwrights now(!). Thank you for the hospitality.

I will highly recommend Claire's home. It felt cozy, clean and very up to date. I thoroughly enjoyed 3 nights stay with my family. Although Lake District weather was bit let down however we kept ourself busy on the treadmill and OTT apps. Kitchen facilities provided were above and beyond our expectation :) The house is equipped with every little detail one can think of. I am happy to book the house again in future.

5* all the way! Felt right at home and was a lovely place to stay with fantastic views. It was all very very clean! The hot tub picture shows it being under a cover/pergola type thing, however the hot tub at this property was not under covered area like the pictures showed. That is the only thing which was not matched. Everything else was great and couldn’t fault
