Hotel vacation rentals in South Lakeland District

WE enjoyed our stay at Netherwood Lodge. It was exactly what we were looking for as a family. The home was clean and modern, beds were comfortable and the kitchen well appointed.

Easy enough to find, friendly host and clean comfy bedroom. Beautiful views and a relaxing stay.

A last minute cancellation with another property led us to find this one, and we're very glad we did! A beautiful, peaceful location with lovely grounds for the kids (and dog) to play in, and great local walks (there are so many useful guides/maps in the property). The hot tub is such a bonus, and the sheltered veranda allowed us to stay outside even though the weather wasn't amazing. We appreciated the fresh bread/cake/eggs/milk; the cake did not last long 😂. Local village has great pubs, and it's just a short drive to Kirkby Stephen for everything else. Tebay services also convenient for fast charging the EV and a bit of breakfast/shopping. We only had three days, but I'm sure we'll be back again. Thanks for a lovely break ☺️

Absolutely wonderful stay. Why would you not want to stay in an incredible castle, with great food and drink on site, local amenities and lovely helpful staff! Would recommend and definitely come back again.

Easy check-in, there were no problems at all.

My son and I had a glorious break at Bank Ground Farm. The weather was typically Cumbrian, but we felt so at home this just enforced a much needed rest and down time. We were very comfortable, Jonathon and his staff were so friendly and accommodating, and our fabulous veggie breakfasts were the cherry on the cake. Thankyou so much guys, we'll be back!

This is a great B&B in a great location. Chris hosted us wonderfully - we had a lovely breakfast both mornings, our room was immaculate and it is very well suited to people who are looking to enjoy the Dales.

Lovely room just what we needed

A nice room opposite the hotel right downtown. Easy to reach with plenty of possibilities to accommodate vehicles (car and bicycle). It looks like the hotel can also use a pool, which we unfortunately could not use due to a lack of swimming clothes.

Solid price, comfortable with a very promising boozer just a few steps away.

You won’t be disappointed. The setting is far enough away from town that you feel calm, but close enough to walk to when you wish. Ideal. Beautiful views from the balcony and nothing but birds to listen to. Hotel was clean and fresh. Menu was interesting and broad. Staff were all efficient and polite. Fantastic

If you’re looking for a quiet place with a friendly atmosphere that’s filled with a lot of natural lighting plus energy, this is certainly the location to visit. It being my first time visiting i must say the customer service was splendid, much appreciated been hosted here I advice you too to check it out.

Very good stay. Lots to do at night and the pool is lovely

First time here - lovely receptionist very friendly, they also upgraded us when we arrived which was a lovely surprise. Room clean and simple. Best part was the pool and jacuzzi.

I was looking for somewhere quiet to stay as I was spending the weekend racing in the Lakes. I had a clean, comfortable room and access to a good kitchen, plus lovely views over the fields from the bedroom window. It was exactly what I needed and I would definitely stay again.

Samantha was such an amazing host, she went above and beyond for us to help us park. She was so welcoming and made me feel right at home. Really knowledgeable about the area and culture. Would absolutely stay here again.

Best place we have ever stayed!! Just wow!! Words on a review do not do this place justice! We went just two women walking in the lakes with our Labrador and felt so safe and well looked after here it made us feel so at home! After having an accident to the head on one of my walks on the first day the staff were so accommodating and checked in on us and ensured we were all ok going above and beyond. beautiful clean tidy and the bed was so comfy! Anything you needed for the stay was provided. The shower was so luxurious. Was even provided doggy treats and food mat, doggy paw towels in the porch, and dogs very welcome in the beautiful bistro for all meals! The food at the bistro! We have never tasted such amazing food. Location is perfect for all your needs in the lakes! And lastly I want to thank THE YAN and all their staff you can tell every single one puts their wholehearted effort into it and it shows through and through to anyone staying here! 5***’s from us and we will be back.

Great clea room and bathroom.

Enjoyed Skipton very much. Visited a number of waterfalls and the pubs and restaurants we visit were fab . Will definitely return to Scott’s place for another stay

Nice place to stay in the heart of Skipton. We enjoyed the location and the accommodation in general. Easy access with self entry code. Parking 5 mins away. Would like to return if we are in the area.

Simple, very clean room right in the centre of Skipton. Great to explore the town from. Room is very close to the road so a little noisy in the rush hours but had no trouble sleeping and great to step out the door to explore the wonderful pubs and restaurants surrounding you.

I never stayed in a hostel before. But I could not asked for better place for a stay over during a motorbike trip with friends. We have been given permission to keep motorbikes out of sight, 4 bunk beds were just what we needed. Self catering kitchen has more than you need and breakfast in the money was worth it's money. Bathrooms and Showers were surprisingly clean and well maintained. Beware water is very hot. Should I come back this way I will for sure consider to book again.
