Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in South Gloucestershire

I stayed with a group of friends for the weekend and we very much enjoyed our stay at Kathy's. Gorgeous property, excellent decor, stunning view and nicely walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. There were thoughtful extra touches provided by the host – and me and my friends love to cook, so we were very grateful for the well-provisioned kitchen and set of sharp knives. It was our first time in Stroud and we loved it!

Perfect escape from the outside after a long camping trip - no windows, a blackout curtain for the front door and a fan for the bathroom to ventilate. Lots of mood lighting and plugs to charge all of our things. The front door is a clear window, so unless you have the curtain closed people can see you sitting in the living room. Quick walk to nearby restaurants or 10 min to downtown. Bed and jacuzzi was amazing, and loved the style of the place. We did hear some loud music from around 6am - to the afternoon during a weekday, not sure if there is a gym or dance studio that shares a wall. Far enough from downtown to not have loud crowds at night. Still slept very well.

Great place, Zoe very comminciative. Only tiny thing that would make it easier, which is about habitat escapes, not the property, is better signage / maps would make the intital check in and finding of house a bit easier, but I am tooigraphically challenegd, so it might just be me. Otherwise ten out of ten for what Zoe offers. Thank you.

The apartment was even better in reality than in the photos - lovely decor and comfortable beds/sofas. As we had lovely weather for our weekend stay , we sat outside on the rooftop terrace relaxing at every opportunity, listening to birdsong and lake-watching the wildlife. We hadn’t appreciated the amount of activities on offer at Lower Mill Estate but used the outdoor heated pool, recliners and sauna before we checked in - it really started our weekend in relaxing mood. We went to Ballihoo restaurant during our visit and this was a great family restaurant, very casual with good food - a few minutes walk from the accommodation. We did some Cotswolds sightseeing on the Saturday and it was lovely to know our penthouse and sundeck was waiting when we returned in the afternoon. Jane recommended a local restaurant for the Saturday evening and we weren’t disappointed- the food was absolutely delicious and it made the weekend perfect. Jane & Nico - thank you for everything:-)

What a wonderful lovely little gem. My family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Harry’s place. We loved the nature reserve, onsite playground and spa facilities. My children loved the swimming pool and we will definitely be back. The apartment was clean, tidy and lots of amenities. The property was a little tricky to find in the dark but once we had been out and back in again we had no problems. The signage could do with being brighter or reflective so it is easier to see in the dark. Despite this we loved this place. Great location to other near by villages and towns. Thank you Harry and lower mill estate. ⭐️

Absolutely beautiful place. Tony and Rosemary provided everything we needed for a long weekend relaxing stay. Their communication was excellent and they were always on hand to answer questions. I loved having a hot tub, which made the value great. The area was very peaceful and private, and in easy driving distance of lots of local attractions. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We enjoyed our few days at Lower Mill. The apartment was really comfortable, warm and well appointed. Although we have visited Cotswold Water Park several times previously this was our first time at Lower Mill, and we thought the Estate was lovely....grounds are beautifully kept and with a tranquility that's hard to find these days. All in all a lovely place to stay

Perfect for our first holiday with 7 month old baby. Everything was exactly as described and Jane was a fantastic host, from replying quickly to any questions we had before our visit to checking everything was okay with check in and our stay. The location is amazing with somewhere to eat a 5 min walk away, a spa/pool another 5 min walk away, activities and walks on the doorstep too. Travel cot and highchair included which was brilliant as meant less for us to pack and bring with us. We did have an issue where the fan stopped working but Jane swapped it for a new one within an hour of us contacting her regarding it which we really appreciated as it was used in the babies room. Stress free and relaxing break. Thank you Jane.

The photos didn't do this place justice, it was beautiful . It was so quiet and relaxing and Tony and Rosemary were quick to respond to anything I asked, I would definitely stay here again

Lovely few days away in the Cotswolds. Apartment was very clean and tidy with everything we needed. Home from home and was very cosy along with a terrace with beautiful views. Perfect for the sunny weather.

We knew the house would be amazing from the photos but we were absolutely blown away when we saw it! It is huge (especially the two main bedrooms) and we loved having the extra little lounge for the kids which was stocked with games and books. The outside space is incredible with wrap around decking and a huge bbq. Michelle responded very quickly whenever I sent a message and her instructions for how to find the house were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend the house and will be back next year!

Nice place to stay, rural area, lovely views. The place is spacious, well equipped. Nice fitness area. There’s a parking space close to the entrance and also electric charging available.

This little estate is beautiful, the wildlife was amazing, I went with a toddler and my husband and very pregnant. Walkable playgrounds and a trampoline, swimming pool in the spa is lovely inside outside pool. Perfect for little one. Really enjoyed the peacefulness. Bank holiday weeks are very busy and everything requires to be booked so we were grateful to have several days without the peek of the holidays. House has lovely bedrooms. Was a much needed break after having to cancel a holiday to Greece due to pregnancy complications we picked this little village and was totally worth it. Day trips out to Cotswold wildlife is a worth a trip and Cirencester (we’ve been a few time is still a beautiful little town) worth bringing some essential you may need if cooking within the house.

We had a really lovely stay this weekend for 2 nights as a little getaway. We had 2 toddler boys who loved having lots of toys to play with, the garden looked amazing too however the weather said otherwise! Frances was really great communicating with us & made us feel really comfortable.

Had an amazing time, fantastic facilities and estate. Host was easy to contact, helpful, and the property was clean and so welcoming. Will be visiting again

we had a lovely stay at the house. It was bright, spacious and peaceful. the beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. we made good use of the pools, lakes and restaurant/bar on site. the pizza hut was a great hit with our kids.

Lovely place right on the water. Looks better than the photos. Had everything we needed in a great location with access to pool and with onsite restaurant and little shop. Perfect for a get away would come again

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Monk’s Farm. What an incredible property it is! Gemma was super helpful and responsive and I couldn’t recommend staying here more. Wow - amazing!
