The Skagafjörður region and outlying areas have much to offer the tourist most less than an hours drive away from Sauðárkrókur. Explore the Skagafjörður region by visiting the villages of Hofsós, Hólar and Varmahlið, travel beyond the district to the townships of Hvammstangi, Blönduós and Skagaströnd or tour the very northern regions of Iceland and discover Siglufjörður and Ólafsfjörður.
“Vicki was an amazingly kind, personable host! Her apartment is secure, very clean, stylish, well located within short walking distance to great restaurants, and she had so many hospitable touches. Her apartment was our only access to laundry on the trip and the most spacious space we stayed in. Her apartment is definitely well suited for a extended stay, and a great base to explore Northern Iceland. She's a great source of information on the area and will give you great ideas! Definitely book this Airbnb!”
At Ármúli we offer accommodation all year around whether you are looking for horseback adventures, curious to experience real Icelandic life in beautiful surroundings or you simply look for a cozy place to stay overnight.
“A big clean room with many windows in a house where the host and his family are living. You share the kitchen and the bathroom which are on the ground floor next to the room. There is no regular door between the hall and the room, just an accordion door without a lock. The host is a nice and communicative guy. Recommended.”
A cozy basement room with its own entrance and bathroom. the room has also a sitting area with a sofa and table. Wooden walls. Also a modern bathroom with high-tech touches. Two small windows will let you rest during light summer nights. Guests have their own bathroom, but do NOT have access to the kitchen because it is located in another part of the house and is reserved for the family.
“Madara’s place is so cozy. The interior design is so stylish even they said they are not finish yet. But the decoration is so good enough already. They save our life in the Christmas Eve because nowhere have food we can buy. But they offered us some food! We just want to say thousand thanks to them. Actually this is en entire flat rather than just a room, because it has the private entrance and private bathroom. The bed is super comfy, whole apartment is super cozy. So quiet in this little town and so warm.”
