Beachfront vacation rentals in Saranac Lake

My wife and I just spent one of the more enjoyable weeks in our long history of visits to the Adirondacks. Jerry and Linda’s log cabin on Middle Saranac Lake is, quite simply, a treasure. Awesome location right on shoreline. Very nice man (Dan) motored us across the lake. Rustic but very comfortable. Spectacular views. Great kitchen. Comfortable bedding. Propane lighting throughout. Weber grill on porch. Two kayaks and one canoe included. Aluminum boat (also included) with electric start Honda was perfect. Lots of tiny islands nearby. Hot (very!) shower, flush toilet. Swimming right from dock. Sandy beach close by. Sunsets, sunrises, total peace and serenity. Just what we were hoping for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You will too! David and Debbie B

We had a great time for the 4 nights we stayed, and we really enjoyed the front deck that overlooks the lake. nice and peaceful

I have been coming up to the area since I was young, but it was my wife’s first trip to the Adirondacks. I wanted to show my wife all of the special places my dad took me when i was little. I managed to show her some of the other spots before we checked in, and I’m glad I did, because once we arrived at the air bnb, we were home. It took little time to realize that we were spending the entire trip on the lake and at the camp. To try to put it in perspective, we woke up each morning while it was still dark to make sure we could watch the sun rise above the lake each morning (and get some prime fishing time in). The cabin itself is well maintained, and very charming. Ona was very responsive and an excellent host. Highly recommend!

Can’t thank Suzanne enough for such an amazing stay! Perfect for our family of 4. Our boys loved the bunk beds. Every room had exactly what we needed. We all wished we could have stayed longer. We didn’t want to leave. Suzanne went above and beyond stocking the place, and even provided tube for us to have fun in the snow! I also loved that many of the soaps were more natural (free and clear or essential oils) as I’m sensitive to many fragrances. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Suzanne!

Lovely barn in picturesque Vermont. More than glamping but not cushy living. Shower gets hot immediately, full kitchen. We were there in October so the barn gets very cold. Bedding was nice and warm, and we slept amazingly well but hanging in the living room was hard given how cold it was. Must layer up! Jeff was lovely and kind. The surrounding towns are nothing short of quaint and charming. Loved our stay!

This cabin was perfect. The charm of an old cabin in the woods with all the conveniences of a modern home. Everything was super clean. The location was awesome and included a boat we used for fishing and every water toy you can imagine. Our host was a wonderful person who went out of her way to assure our stay went off with any problems. We love you Ingrid.

We had a really great time here! The beachfront was great for keeping our toddler entertained, and the house is close enough to town to walk for coffee or ice cream. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed!

This was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay in the Adirondacks. The house is right on the lake with access to swimming and kayaking. The house is comfortable and warm and Mary has everything needed in the kitchen and bathroom. She has information on nearby attractions and hiking trails. Mary was very responsive to questions about the area and information about the house. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful, beautiful relaxing vacation!

Kevin was a great host and the house was perfect for our family! Nothing beats waking up and sitting by the lake - the surroundings were gorgeous and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed the home, and the privacy. The host was very responsive and attentive, seeing as someone removed snow from the driveway by morning 1. The rooms, linens, and bathrooms were really clean. Thanks for hosting!

The cabin was so cozy with many thoughtful touches, so peaceful, so relaxing. We really enjoyed our time there. Of note - the stairs leading to the deck overlooking the lake were very steep and very narrow. My sister has limited vision and it was difficult for her to maneuver without assistance. I did not see any mention of this in the property description. The property description listed a dock, which was not in place during our stay. We paid a $300 cleaning fee and per check-out instructions, we were expected to take all our garbage and recycling to a transfer station with a permit (expired) the host supplied. We ended up loading all the garbage/recycling in our SUV and taking it home. This was a little disappointing.

Lovely home and would 100% visit again. The porch sitting over Lake Champlain is one of a kind - we saw many of the surrounding properties from the water during our time in Essex and I don’t think there’s another porch in town with that type of water view - can’t beat it! We spent 10 days in late August with our 3 yr old daughter and some grandparents in/out over the course of the visit. The home was perfect for our getaway. The hosts, Lisa and John were flexible and welcoming. The space had everything we needed for our stay - kitchen was great and we cooked many meals at home. The open kitchen/dining/living floor plan is perfect for spending time together and so cozy… all alongside an unbeatable view.

The extra touches made me feel like i was staying with a longtime close family relative. Amazing location and all the extra touches to make us feel like the place was ours.

James is a wonderful and knowledgable host who is willing to do whatever is needed to improve guest experience. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or requests and was very courteous and friendly. As other guests have mentioned, he offered to go out and pick up some food for me when I first arrived. I was fortunate to have a few conversations with James about Essex and the history of his AirBnB during my stay, and I really appreciated how informative and kind he is to guests.

This is the Adirondack charm, but with much clear beds and kitchen ware. All you need. We will be back.

We had a fantastic stay! The host was extremely courteous and responsive, making the check-in process seamless and hassle-free for all of us. The home was well-maintained and set in a calm, serene environment—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The deck overlooking the lake was definitely the highlight of our stay, offering a breathtaking view of the fall colors. We all agreed that we would definitely recommend this place to our friends & family and are looking forward to coming back again. It was an amazing experience for everyone

This rental was absolutely perfect for our visit to the area for a wedding weekend! The separate units gave each couple their own space and privacy, but the beautiful shared space allowed us to enjoy our time as a larger group. The views on Little Wolf Pound were spectacular! The location was also perfectly central for the area, with quick drives to any desired location in the area. Reinaldo was an absolute all-star host! He was responsive, flexible, and kind!! Cannot recommend this rental highly enough!! A++++++++++++

We enjoyed the fact that it sat back off the road, behind another cabin, and had plenty of parking. The surroundings are great for an evening walk.

The photos do not accurately capture how pretty this place is. The home is thoughtfully and stylishly decorated, the beds are very comfortable, and the screened in porch is lovely! We had a wonderful time on Loon Lake and especially enjoyed the canoe and kayaks. There are no homes directly across the lake, and there is a lot of greenery on either side of the home. So the place feels very private. We had a minor issue during our stay, but Mary communicates efficiently and the issue was resolved satisfactorily. We would definitely consider booking this place again!

This is the perfect spot for a family get away. Everyone felt right at home- even kids and dogs :). The weather when we were there was Adirondack "unsettled" but the house had great space for playing with the kids, rocking on the awesome porch swing and, even in the rain, a safe private road for walking. Bob was super responsive with communication and questions. The house is super close to Saranac, Placid, hikes and paddles- if it wasnt " the days of covid" we would have spent time wondering more for sure.

A great place to stay. If you like peace and quiet to decompress, this is the place. Everything about it is to leave the real world behind to slow down and enjoy the little things. Fires on the patio overlooking the lake, listening to old records, playing games with the family. I might bring some records to leave behind next time I visit. It was so much fun playing records on the turntable like the old days. The house was great. Plenty of room for everyone to unwind and read a book, yet nice gathering areas for everyone to get together. I can't really comment on water activities as it was to cool to really utilize. The kitchen had everything you need to cook with. The waffle recipe that Grace recommends was fantastic. We visited the Merrymack animal sanctuary. It was very enjoyable and our tour guide was fantastic. Went up to Vergennes for ice cream. Visited Church St. in Burlington. Looking forward to booking again in the future.

This is our third stay at Ampersand Bay, all were fantastic. They let us check in early and the place was just as described. We will be back Memorial Day weekend to enjoy another stay.

We stayed for a long weekend at the house and it was absolutely perfect! It’s so clean, spacious, and has beautifull lake views. I instantly felt right at home. The host was responsive and helpful.
