Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sao Vicente

This place is amazing. The view over the cliffs and the ocean is like out of a movie, especially when you’re in the pool. The interior design is very luxurious. And the privacy of the location of the property is outstanding. Just make sure you have the host send you a location pin on Google Maps, as the place is not easy to find initially. But once you’re there, the secluded location is one of the prime benefits of this beautiful home.

Der Aufenthalt bei Valter und Marlene hat uns super gefallen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit sofort zu erreichen und sehr freundlich. Die Dachterrasse war das Highlight des Appartements. Der Ort etwas abgelegen und es gab nichts besonderes zu sehen. Aber wenn wenn man seine Ruhe möchte, ist es genau das Richtige. 😊

Prachtige locatie midden in de bergen. Alsof je een sprookje kwam binnenrijden. Het huis was mooi en erg rustig qua ligging. De inrichting was modern en schoon. Goede badkamer en keuken en een prima bed om in uit te rusten na een dag hiken in de prachtigste natuur van Madeira. Centrale ligging op ongeveer uur rijden van de meest verre Hikes en 40 min van Funchal. Ook in de buurt op 15 min rijden zijn enkele PR levada hikes. Verhuurder reageerde snel op berichten en was super behulpzaam. Zelfs eigen wijn achter gelaten en aangeboden bij hem thuis meer wijn te komen proeven, wij drinken echter geen alcohol. Zou deze plek bij iedereeen aanraden en zal als ik ooit weer naar Madeira ga zeker weer hier verblijven.

Prachtige rustige locatie waar we met onze 2 kinderen een fantastische week hebben mogen beleven!

If I coma to Madeira again, I would for sure choose again Jose’s house. Amazing host, everything was perfect, you don’t even know that he exists 😊 Tv is great, fast internet, working desk is amazing with the electric socket just under the table, outside grill is also amazing,… view from terrace is amazing, always free parking space available. Just great, and by far the best host I ever had. Bravo Jose!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le logement ! (famille de 6 personnes) Celui-ci est bien situé, une belle vue, endroit très paisible et privé. Il est très bien équipé, piscine chauffée (pour 30€/J), barbecue disponible, très spacieux et propre. Ce qui en fait un très bon rapport qualité-prix. On recommande !

A nice unique place that incorporates the cliff side. Clean and well equipped. Parking is on the road below, about 35 steps up to the house. You can see the highway from the deck. There is some road noise but not bothersome. The path to the beach was closed.

Filipe ist ein super Gastgeber! Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt – fast wie zuhause. Der Ausblick war einfach ein Traum, egal ob aufs Meer oder in die Bananenplantagen 🤩. Die Anfahrt war easy und die Lage top – ruhig, entspannt und trotzdem ist man überall schnell hingekommen. In der Unterkunft war alles da, was man braucht – in der Küche wie im Bad hat’s an nichts gefehlt. Und über das kleine Gastgeschenk haben wir uns mega gefreut – danke dafür! Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter und würden uns freuen, nochmal wiederzukommen!

Just back from a great stay! Photos of the accommodation didnt do it justice - the view from the balcony was absolutely beautiful. All the little things had been thought of (beach towels, coffee maker with filters etc) and the welcome pack of maderia wine, fruit and biscuits was really thoughtful. Our host was excellent at communicating and great at giving suggestions. We’ll be back!

Great stay! We saw this apartment and after booked tickets for flights, view is fantastic and all needed is inside apartment! Sunsets are attractive and view to the ocean from the bed is amazing!

My husband and I just returned from a fantastic 8 night stay at Lucio’s apartment. The apartment is large , was very clean and looked just like the photos. The location was a great starting point to explore the island. We enjoyed being in a quieter town that was still very central. There were plenty of restaurants that were walkable for dinner each night. We really enjoyed being able to relax on the balcony and in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Lucio was very friendly and responsive and has really set this apartment up with all the perfect amenities for a home away from home. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Madeira!

located in the center of Funchal this AirBnB is really one of the best I ever had. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms, a kitchen to cook, everything you need is there. Few walking minutes you find groceries and supermarkets and you are few minutes away from the central street and promenade of Funchal as well as the harbor. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and wireless is available. Parking is located inside the courtyard and is very safe. Just in front of the balcony you can find cafes, restaurants and local bars. I can really recommend this AirBnB to everybody.

Super freundliche Gastgeberin, die immer gut erreichbar war und wertvolle Tipps gegeben hat. Die Lage ist wunderschön, samt Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer, grüne Felswände und Berge. Guter Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren. Das Apartment hat alles, was man so benötigt, auch ein bequemes und großes Bett. Kleine Minuspunkte hat das Bad, könnte eine Erneuerung vertragen (Duschkopf, Duschboden).

Danke an Joana und Juan für den herzlichen Empfang in eurer Unterkunft. Die lokalen Tipps von Juan waren toll und das Appartement hat alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und alles ist in bestem Zustand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Die Lage ist super, da sich direkt vor dem Gebäude eine Bushaltestelle befindet, mit diesem Bus kommt man bequem innerhalb von 15-20 Minuten nach Funchal. Außerdem bietet Jose einen Tiefgaragenstellplatz an. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Joses Mutter in Empfang genommen, die Kommunikation war etwas schwierig, da sie nur Portugiesisch und Spanisch spricht, aber man konnte sich gut verständigen und uns wurde die Wohnung und alles wichtige gezeigt. Bei Fragen war Jose immer erreichbar und man hat innerhalb weniger Minuten von ihm eine Antwort bekommen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hier einchecken.

Goed gelegen accomodatie. Kleine supermarkt en bakkerij heel dichtbij. Evenals restaurants waar je lekker kon eten. Alles aanwezig voor een zorgeloze vakantie. luchthaven en Funchal op minder dan 15min rijden.

Great apartment. Everything as described. Tip...bring some shower/bath gel or buy some locally. There was only little bottles of shampoo. This was to start you off when you arrived, but, if you feel like a shower after a long journey it would be nice to have just a couple of small bottles of gel just for the initial shower or bath. It was quite noisy when we stayed with very loud building works with an excavator loading and crashing rocks and boulders into the lorries and travelling right past the apartment loaded with all of those 🥺 This was at the front of the apartment, so although we couldn't use the balcony there: thankfully the bedroom was at the rear of the property, so a lie in was possible when the work started early in the morning. However, this may not be the case for any future guests as they may have finished the works before they arrive. Other than this problem, we had a great time on this beautiful island ( our 8th visit and our first time in self catering)

Wir haben 9 schöne Tage auf Madeira verbracht und durften dabei in Carlos' Wohnung leben. Carlos war sehr hilfsbereit bei allen unseren Fragen und hat beim CheckIn flexibel auf unseren Wunsch reagiert. Carlos hatte Wasser, Kaffee, Brot, Obst für ein erstes Frühstück bereit gelegt. In der Wohnung haben wir uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt, sie ist nett eingerichtet und es ist alles da was man braucht. Von der Terrasse hat man einen seitlichen Meerblick. Die Lage in Funchal ist super, man kommt gut zu Fuß in die Altstadt und auch per Auto gut aus der Stadt heraus. Sehr wichtig ist der Stellplatz für den Mietwagen in der Tiefgarage. Es muss aber, auch wegen den Straßen auf Madeira, ein Kleinwagen sein. 5 Minuten zu Fuß ist ein tolles portugiesisches Restaurant (Cai D'Queixo), sehr zu empfehlen Vielen Dank an Carlos für alles. Wir würden die Wohnung von Carlos wieder buchen.

La cittadina è davvero bella, facile raggiungere a piedi i dintorni e bellissimi locali dove mangiare. Comodissima la presenza di garage. Casa come da descrizione e fornita del necessario.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft. Besonders gefallen hat uns der grandiose Ausblick auf die Küste, die gute Ausstattung der Wohnung und die ruhige Lage. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden die airbnb jederzeit wieder mieten!
