Our latest Tree House Gumbo Limbo leaves nothing to desire. It has one bedroom with a king-size bed, ceiling fans and an AC. The floor to ceiling windows surrounding the bed give you the chance to wake up in the middle of the canopies of the trees. It features a modern outdoor shower bath with a big rain shower head. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a needed refuge from adventure filled days. The house is beautiful and as pictured. We enjoyed the common area, rooms, and the rooftop pool! A 20-30 minute walk and we were able to get to every SI restaurant we wanted, close to supermarkets, a visit to Cahal Pech, and an easy pickup location at the house for our ATM Cave Tour. The host met us at check-in and was very responsive. Housekeeping took care of everything at the end of our stay. A perfect experience!

You have a terrific spot - easy to get into Belmopan for dinner and drinks and yet so quiet and peaceful. The best of both worlds. We'll be coming back to Belmopan and I hope you'll host us again.

Great quiet and off the beaten path place! Pool area was out of this world! Jay recommended a local chef to come and prepare dinner for my wife’s birthday, and that worked out great! The property was very large and secure with a locked gate. A local herd of Brahman cows strolled down the road every afternoon to find greener grass I think. The road to Jay’s was a little bumpy but I understand it was primarily due to the recent heavy rains, but they were actively repairing it during our stay.

What an excellent home base for exploring the interior of Belize! Easy access to Belize Zoo, ArtBox, and Guanacaste National Park, and only an hour from San Ignacio/Xunantunich. Daniel’s place is in a controlled-access neighborhood and felt very safe, considering we were 5 women traveling on our own. Beautiful home, well stocked and with amenities like a water dispenser on the fridge and a dishwasher. The pool was cleaned the evening we got there and felt so good after a day of exploring. There are some large dogs in the area that may wander into the yard but they didn’t bother us. We saw toucans and hummingbirds right from the yard. Highly recommend!

The Haciendas

Las Haciendas was everything our group could have imagined and more. We rented all six Villas, so our group of 13 each had our own space. The villas were clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Leda arranged transportation to the villa, excursions, transportation to dinners and anything else we needed! She had wonderful recommendations as well. She was very quick to respond before the trip, as well as while we were there. We were greeted with cool towels and all our luggage was taken care of the minute we got there until leaving the last day. The water coolers were a great perk and the plunge pools allowed us to chill after a long excursion day. It was walkable to Cachal Ruins as an extra afternoon trip. I would HIGHLY recommend Las Haciendas for your group stay while in San Ignacio!!!

This little blue house sits right in the jungle. Slightly from the rest of the lodge cabanas by the veggie garden and only few steps to the swimming pool. It feels very private, peaceful simple and comfortable. From its terrace u can observe surrounding nature while sipping a tea. U can decide to cook for ureself or explore the restaurant menus. The lodge offers a spa, a sauna, plenty of games ond can arrange any tour y may think of and there is a lot of amaz g sites to visit around such as rio on pools, big rock, etc. They truly take care of you as if u were their best friends visiting and we felt right at home at Mariposa. We came with a family of friends from Placencia and as always enjoy the beauty of the place, the kindness of the staff and the delicious meals ! We keep returning here any time we go to Cayo.
