My place is close to public transport, art and culture, parks, and the city center, downtown restaurants and bars. You can easily take a run over the Mississippi River or go fishing on the levee. You’ll love my place because of the location. It's perfect walking distance from everywhere you need to go! Restaurants, bars, Winona State University game fields and a grocery store is blocks away. Ask for recommendations! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Renting this room is a great way to be near everything you need downtown. During the summer, a beautiful porch is available to lounge and enjoy the spring and summer weather.
Our place is in the "downtown fringe" of Winona. Yes, that's a technical zoning term to mean it's an area designated as a transition between the commercial downtown and the residential neighborhoods to the East. This is great! We get a quiet, safe neighborhood that is within walking distance to everything downtown!
  • Crystal was a fantastic host! My friend and I were just staying the night on our cross-country road trip, and it was the perfect place to stopover. Crystal was very accommodating, even with our late arrival time. The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. Crystal gave some great recommendations for breakfast as well!

  • The host canceled this reservation 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Great value and good location.

    Rach2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to experience the town of Winona and for a bargain price, Crystal's place is the place to stay. It is within walking distance of all of the local favorite spots, but still a nice, safe, quiet place to return to in the evening. If you are new to Winona she will help you find all of the great places to visit/eat/shop and help you discover why people love this small town so very much! Thanks a million!

    Rachel2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Crystal is a nice person. Her daughter very polite. The location is convenient.

    mayan2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Crystal was a great hostess. She was conscientious of the rising temperature in the room and took every effort to make it more comfortable. And it was! It was also safe and quiet, which are always pluses!

    Pumpkin2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Being able to stay at Crystal's place took the stress out of my weekend travel plans and enabled me to extend my trip to Winona to fit in some time visiting with my niece. Coming and going was easy to do. The room was quiet and cool (thanks to a window AC unit).

    Jerry2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Her place was top notch. I had everything I wanted: privacy, peace and quiet. The room was spacious. The A/C worked like a charm. Just a big slice of heave(URL HIDDEN)

The heating/cooling system keeps the temp at a consistent 67 - 69 degrees at all times for multiple units. If guests would like the temperature adjusted, I can adjust it for them upon request. NOTE* : We want to disclose that there can be some light vibration noise inside the unit from time to time from above. The noise comes from a deck/walkway/entrance that is built on the roof above the unit. There are permanent tenants that live in the buildings second and third levels that use this to enter/exit the building. We have done our best to minimize this noise but a certain amount of light noise is unavoidable.

  • Adam was an extremely accommodating and the unit was exactly like it was in the photos. High attention to detail and immaculately clean. Plenty to do and see in the immediate area. Felt very comfortable here.

  • The skylight was cool. Very nice and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Becca2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was a great host! He explained everything about our unit very well and alerted us about the events going on around town so we were able to plan accordingly. We really appreciated the "heads up". We were able to get to everything by bike or by hike. Winona is a nice place for our weekend trip out of town!

    Penny2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at Adam's place. With kids at both Winona State and St. Mary's, wish we would have discovered sooner. Awesome location. Adam has thought of every detail. A beautiful place in a perfect location. We've already booked our next visit. Super clean, beautifully decorated and well appointed.

    Michelle2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • My expectation of Adams apt was as expected because I've stayed in his Airbnb before and it's wonderful!!!! Bright fun space...spotless... very comfortable... location good... bottle of wine on arrival.. hard to ask for more

    Laurie2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was a terrific host. The space is nicely decorated. Great for a short stay

    Mark2017-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was communicative and friendly. The loft apartment was lovely, very clean, and we could walk to get coffee and muffins in the morning. We felt very comfortable and the location was central to a lot of beautiful state parks to enjoy. We highly recommend!

    Robert2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a treat! Instead of having to live in a generic hotel space & eat fast food for the first two weeks of my new job, I had the opportunity to stay in Adam's lovely, modern, comfortable, spacious, and very tastefully decorated apartment. It was fabulous to be able to cook my own food, enjoy the bottle of wine that Adam provided, and savor the solitude of this very intimate space. Having Apple TV was a big bonus! I strongly recommend staying here to anyone who is visiting Winona, or moving here and not sure where to live yet. Adam was very responsive, a fabulous host, and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. This was a AAA+ experience!

  • Great place of you like a Nice design And a quiet atmosphere. A Nice little village in rural Wisconsin. Carissa is very helpfull And friendly. I can recomend this!

    Marco2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our first stay at an Airbnb. Everything was awesome.

    Sande2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely gorgeous. I would definitely stay again. Carisa was super nice via air bnb app, although I didn't get a chance to meet her in person. The town was super quiet. I only stayed 1 night as I was passing through to Spooner, WI. Awesome that this place allowed pets! The finishing touches in the house were beautiful. I felt like I was at home. The town itself is very small so make sure to buy groceries in a larger city before arriving. Thank you to Carisa for allowing me to stay!

    Tamara2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at the BarnWood Company Guest House! Carisa was a great host, and the house was beautiful!

    Ryan2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable home in the cutest town! Loved our stay!

    Stacy2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • one of the most unique places we've stayed. lots to do in town and centrally located for great exploring through the region! certainly the best communication i've had with a host. this is an airbnb gem!

    Krissy2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Not only is the the The BarnWood Company Guest House beautiful it was also extremely clean. Plus, the neighbors were very friendly. Carisa had everything ready for us when we checked in, even though she wasn't able to be there. Bob greeted us with a welcoming smile and lots of suggestions on where to go and what to see around Galesville. As soon as we settled in it felt just like we were at home. Thank you so much Carisa and Bob! We had a wonderful trip with your help! This is the perfect distance from Winona and LaCrosse.

    Molly2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the coolest paces we've stayed, thru airbnb or otherwise. The interior space is very comfortable, spacious and well laid-out. What takes it the next level is all of the barn wood furnishings, trims, doors, etc. If you appreciate craftsmanship like this, you will love this guest house. Even if barn wood decor isn't your thing, you'll still find the space to be very well-equipped for your stay, from the kitchen and bath to the bedroom and living areas. Beyond the guest house space, Carisa and her dad Bob were excellent hosts with impeccable communication, even being flexible when we had to adjust our schedule due to a family emergency. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in this neck of the woods again.

Come stay with us at the log cabin near the river. Step out the door and hike the hills of the river valley. Rent a canoe to explore the backwaters of the Mississippi. Relax and eat dinner on the deck overlooking the serene views. Grab your favorite book and a glass of wine and settle in for the night or make s'mores while becoming mesmerized by the conversation and campfire. We're only a few minutes from Winona along the Great River Road National Scenic Byway and we're happy to have you.
We are on the second floor with a stunning view over the treetops from the deck. The guest bedroom has a private entrance, comfy queen size bed and a mini fridge. We have a sofa sectional in our living room if additional sleeping space is needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, coffee pot and cookware and you're welcome to use it if you like. We also have a young, friendly Boykin Spaniel who lives indoors.
  • The house is tucked up on the ridge and fairly quiet, yet it is still just a few minutes from Fountain City. Nick and Natasha were wonderful hosts, we conversed for awhile and they are very pleasant people! Highly recommend staying here!! It's only about a 10 minute drive from Winona as well which is nice.

    Brigid2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Great experience. and great hosts. There are fantastic views of the area. It is secluded, quiet, and friendly. Tucked away between the mountain ridge and the Mississippi Rive, it's a great location to get away from it all. and rejuvenate.

    Anthony2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Natasha are a very welcoming pair. The room is very comfortable. Beware of the sloping ceiling as you enter the bed! We enjoyed a nice visit with the couple upon arrival and again over coffee on the lovely deck in the morning. There happened to be flocks of pelicans flying over the river that morning, thrilling us all. Unless you have allergies to dogs, I would expect you to have a lovely time.

This private space is located in the lower level of our home. It is complete and private with a separate entry way, full bath, kitchen, bedroom, living space and dining area.
The space stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Our home is far enough away to feel private and secluded, and yet close enough to the necessities with a Kwik Trip only 2 miles away. Shops, restaurants, the hospital, Winona State University, St. Mary's University are all 5 to 15 minutes away.
We live in the country. There is some traffic on our road, but our home is quite a distance from the road, so it's not bothersome. The nights are quiet, with only the sound of crickets and coyotes.
  • Natalie's place is an absolute gem! You get the whole place to yourself with everything you need- kitchen, bathroom even a living room with a beautiful view. And they have it decorated so nicely. We got there on the later side and she had left a living room light on for us and snacks on the counter :) the whole thing just felt so welcoming and cozy. It's been the best airbnb experience we've had. Thank you for sharing your space with us. If we cross through the country again we will definitely stop here.

    Gretchen2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Natalie was a great host. Very clean and quiet place. Winona is a beautiful area to visit. Would stay again if in the area:)

    Arne2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every second of our time at Natalie and Jason's place. The space was clean, organized and cozy. It felt like a home away from home! Both hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back soon!

    Jane2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this place was perfect for our activities at SMU on the Western edge of Winona. While this is a basement apartment in a family home, the full walkout exposure to the Southern sunlight makes it bright and easy to relax in. Everything was clean and attention to little details was much appreciated.

2 BR 2BA with a fully equipped yoga room, walking distance to campus, Mugby Junction coffee house, and lake park paths. Beautifully decorated in a southwest theme, the house features wood floors and detailed design throughout. The interior is spacious, with a large kitchen, dining table, living room (no TV), and music room with electric keyboard, guitar, and various instruments. House has a dishwasher and W/D. There is a driveway with room for one car, making parking easy.
Southwest decor, wood floors and cabinetry, yoga room, music room with electric piano
My favorite things about my neighborhood are: Convenience to Winona state university, local fair trade offer house, quiet respectful neighbors (though during big college events there are definitely parties and people on the streets), proximity to the lakes- all within walking distance.
  • Super cute and cozy house that's perfect for a relaxing weekend. Close to a nice coffee shop and downtown Winona. Check-in instructions were confusing, so I would recommend connecting with Nicolle via phone for more details before you arrive. We arrived during a blizzard, and were unable to get into the home for about 15 minutes, and the offsite parking was not cleared of snow when we arrived so we were unable to park there. Really cute house and a great price, just a few logistical hiccups since the host lives far away and is not onsite for check-in.

    Kaye2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Our first visit to Nicolle's home was amazing. Beautiful accommodations, quiet, relaxing and we will definitely stay again. Nicolle and Linda both checked in with us to make sure our stay was everything we hoped - and it exceeded our expectations.

    Holly2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice, roomy place to meet! We took advantage of the kitchen, and cooked a meal for 7. We gathered around the dining room table, and there were ample place settings for us plus a few extra. I found this to be a bonus, compared to previous airbnbs I've stayed at. The location was near the downtown area, and quite easy to find. The front porch was a wonderful place to sit and relax! I rather enjoyed the fact that there was no tv! Nicolle was extremely easy to communicate with, and responded to my questions promptly. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

The apartment is newly and very tastefully done, with a great outdoor space to relax on. The hosts are very gracious by providing a Keurig with an assortment of coffee and tea options, as well. Great area that is perfect for walking around. Would highly recommend staying here!!

Additionally the bed was super comfortable and the pillows were more comfy than hotel ones I thought. There were also plenty of useful amenities and the whole process went extremely smooth. The location was very convenient, close to everything. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future if I ever end up back in the area.

  • Sherrie greeted us with hugs and gave us a lay of the land. Her place was a fun combo of modern with touches of antiques from her friend's place down the street. Comfy beds, great shower. Don't count on cable or wifi, although we wanted a getaway so that was no problem. Cute little town with good food. Make sure you get to the Garden of Eatin.

  • A very beautiful little place to rest for the night, in an adorable town and decorated well to match. We felt really comfortable here, good beds, very clean, nice and cozy in every way. • Gorgeous home with a delightful host!

  • Tammy sent timely greetings and thorough instructions and directions, and despite being away, she made herself available by text. The house is in such a lovely, quiet country setting and the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was some turn-taking of bathroom time in the morning, but because this was clear on the airbnb site that there were several rooms for rent and a shared bath, we were not surprised. And for the price this wasn't issue. Winona area is lovely; don't miss the MN Marine Art Museum if you have a few hours!

  • Tammy has a very nice home on the edge of Stockton. It was only 10 minutes from Winona. The room was comfortable and loved the bed. I have been having back problems and slept like a baby with no pain!!!! Thank you Tammy for being a great hostess!!

  • Found the location great, nice drive up the bluffs. Close to Winona, but feeling of being out in country. Had a great weekend with our daughter who is attending Winona. Would recommend the place for a great value and nice and quiet, if you don't bring your dog. Wish I had brought my own pillow.

  • Tammy's place was amazing - it was set among beautiful hills and trees, and to make it even more picturesque there is a horse grazing in the front of the house! Tammy was an awesome host, and always responded quickly to any of our questions. Everything was clean, our room was cute, and we loved the view from our window! Overall we had a wonderful stay!

  • Had an extremely wonderful experience staying with Tammy for one night. My children and my wife simply LOVE this beautiful place. Tammy and her parents are great persons who are friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our time and conversation talking to them. If you are traveling with children, make sure that you bring some sweet corns with you. You children will love feeding Charlie (Tammy's Horse), and Charlie will surely enjoys the treat! This place is highly recommended.

    Peaceful Country Charm

The Village House is a fully restored farmhouse nestled at the foot of the bluffs in a peaceful residential neighborhood. The house was completely remodeled but still has loads of character with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and gracious furnishings. The outdoor spaces are equally inviting, especially the covered patio which is surrounded by gardens with a view of our charming neighborhood. Each bedroom has a full private bath. We are inspected and licensed by the MN Dept of Health.
When the Village House was renovated, thoughtful attention was given to adding modern comforts while maintaining the original character of the house. We operated the Village House as a B&B for almost 9 years before converting it to a vacation rental in 2016, so we've hosted thousands of satisfied guests over the years. We love sharing this charming property with our friends, family, and guests!
We're located in a quiet retirement community. We ask that you respect our neighbors, and loud parties are not allowed.
  • The Brick House is a wonderful place to stay and one of the most beautiful homes I've ever been in. Highly recommended!

  • Anne's home was immaculate and yet still had a cozy feel. We have 4 children 9, 7, 5, and 2 and two cousins with their parents and we had plenty of space! The kids loved having their own bathrooms! The outside space to grill was beautiful too. It was nice to be so close to shopping and central Winona.

Renovations are done! Entire house newly painted, updated furnishings, lots of love has gone into making this house a great place for you to stay while you visit beautiful Winona.
  • A solid place to bring family members to when visiting Winona. The house is not huge, but the spaces are separated enough to make room for at least 8-10 people, if that's what you're looking for. Kitchen is simple, but roomie for many people to enjoy - and there are 3 eating areas that allows for lots of groups. The owner is attentive, but not intrusive.

    Dana2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This comment does not apply to the house advertized here, but to another one which is different. Carol and Bill were very welcoming and did their best to accomodate our needs by providing an alternative for the housing. The location in downtown Winona is great. We stayed for a night on our way to Chicago and it was perfect for this purpose.

    patrick2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We rented Carol's house as we visited Winona for my son's graduation from Winona State University. The house worked out great for us. The location being close to downtown and campus was perfect. Would definitely do it again.

  • Carol was great. She answered e-mails and texts promptly and met my daughter at the door, giving a tour and answering questions. The house was great. Exceptionally clean and roomy. We would definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend going to Elmaro Vineyard which is about a 10 minute bike ride away! Michael offered a full kitchen with a keurig, a washer and dryer for laundry and a cozy bedroom. I would highly recommend it!

    Calli2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Micheal was great with fast communication and recommendations. He told me about the outdoor jazz at the hotel. It was a relaxing night with a couple beers and food. Then outdoor jazz next to a great veiw of the river. Also went to hungry point bar and grill which was right on the river as well. This town is super quiet with just enough to feel like a lively town off of a beautiful peddle bike trail. I rode my motorcycle on both sides of the river hwy 35 and hwy 14/ 61 both excellent rides. Wifi was fast and cable tv with an air conditioner close by was great to relax after long hot rides. I have already rocommended this to family members.

  • A great place to stay in Trempealeau! The house was very clean and cozy. Michael was an excellent host and provided suggestions for dining that were fantastic. Within walking distance to the Mississippi River. We enjoyed the Great River State Trail bike path too.

Scrappin’ on the Ranch is designed specifically for anyone who needs a place to stay. We are located 20 minutes from La Crosse, Wis., and 15 minutes from Winona, Minn. Scrappin’ on the Ranch is a renovated barn trees tucked in the bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley. The property is located on 80 acres of natural beauty. The perfect setting from inside and out for those who want to get away.
  • Jolene made us feel very welcome, provided us with everything we needed, and answered all of our questions. We had an incredible time!! The property is GORGEOUS and the place is very homey! We loved it!

  • Really beautiful place! Comfortable, clean and spacious. Planning to come back!

    Mary Jo2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We only spent one night but what an amazing place. Jolene did a great job decorating the place and making sure everything you might need is there. We were on a business trip to the area and wanted to both support the locals and have a different experience than just a hotel. Much better experience than any hotel you'll find in the area (and most hotels in general). Beds are comfortable, shower is big with instant hot water, fast wifi and everything is beautiful.

    Taylor2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, quiet atmosphere! We were only here for a short while but loved it! Very comfortable place to stay. The town of Pickwick was a very cute place to explore as well. Well worth it!

    Kristina2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was in need of a place quickly and Jolene responded immediately! I checked in the very next day and it was far better than I expected. I myself live in the country and this was very remote, private, quiet, within 20 minutes from a large city and BEAUTIFUL! If you are looking to get away from the city with friends this is the place. Yet close enough to go to town with a great nightlife. Jolene is very well respected in the community too, as I quickly learned from the locals. When you are in a small town and people ask who you are and you mention where you are staying they welcomed me immediately when I mentioned Jolene.

    John2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! The ranch was so relaxing and peaceful. Jolene was very nice and welcoming. I only regret having only one day there. I will definitely go back. Clean super value!

Private room available in a dorm-style setting. Fully furnished for 1 with access to shared bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry. Free TV & Wi-Fi. Conveniently located next to Winona State Univ & a short walk to downtown & the Mississippi River!
  • Amazing host!

    Adam2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Locks nearly impossible to unlock. No one on location to assist. No kleenex, trash can or hangars in the room. Shower curtain liner for a top sheet on the bed. Dead bugs on the floor. Photo is accurate. Nice huge tv. Quiet. Parking.

    Mona2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Scott is the president of a company that operates private dorm facilities at Winona State Univ. (and other places, I think). The dorm is not in use during the summer and the room took me back to my days in college. Except in Scott’s case, his room was much cleaner than my college dorm room. Hallway bathroom and showers were literally next door to my room, and that was convenient. The room had a microwave, fast Wifi, and a big-screen TV bigger than my biggest at home. The TV initially had just three channels programmed, but simply entering the channel number – 2, 3, etc – yielded more than 20 channels that opened up my late night viewing. The one thing I had to remember was that if I left, I needed my keys to get onto my floor and in the front door. Had my own parking space. Don’t wait until 8 p.m. to go to dinner. Many restaurants close early in Winona, at least when I was there in mid-july. All in all, a good value, as advertised.

    Jef2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • I was 3 doors from a bar. Very glad I had a room facing the back.

    Paul2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Scott was great to work with. I got in late, tends to happen when you ride a motorcycle for 12 hours, I needed a place to park my motorcycle trailer and Scott took care of me. He had no problem coming to meet me and made sure I was good to go before leaving. The room was nice and the stay was quite. The location was centeral located and close to a gas station, restaurants, stores and the highway. Sharing a bathroom kinda sucked but it wasn't bad. I only saw one other person the entire trip. The tv in the room was hooked up to the Internet and I was able to get Netflix. The room had a small sink and a small fridge to store drinks in, which was nice after being out riding the motorcycle all day. The ac worked great. There is a common area on the first and third floor but I never made it there because I ate out. The town is wonderful and very accomadating to visitors. Overall I would highly recommend visiting the town and staying at this (URL HIDDEN) bets any price of the any hotel in the area. All the others from our group was jelious of my rate when they paid over 100 a night at there hotel which gave us a group rate.

    Nephi2016-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what I needed -- a private room, clean and spare, and a shared bathroom. Great location, just a short walk to downtown and a short drive to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Scott was super responsive when I had questions -- great host!

    Liz2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty good location in downtown area. The unit is pretty clean and exactly as described in the listing. Its very rare and hard to find lodging in the small towns. Scott did a good job in communication and checking in on time. I would recommend this place.

    Anil2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The bare basics for a reasonable price. A five minute walk from the Performing Arts Center of Winona State. Close to many restaurants and a block and a half from a laundromat should you need one. Fast internet service. It is a dorm so the bathroom is down the hall. I recommend asking to be close to the one of of your gender. It was very quiet.

My beautiful home is located just 25 minutes from La Crosse, WI, 45 minutes from Rochester, MN and 20 minutes from Winona, MN. The chalet is a perfect getaway for your family, to meet up with friends or to bring your pets to the country.
The chalet has a queen bed on the main floor with an attached bathroom. Upstairs is a large bedroom with a 1/4 bathroom and a king bed. The open loft is great for kids with three twin beds. The deck facing the scenic bluffland can be enjoyed while watching children play on the swingset.
  • Came as billed -- beautiful setting up on the ridge, on a beautiful farm, with great views of the paddocks and beyond. The chalet itself is interestingly put together, warmed by its wood and comfortable. Crystal was very helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

    bob2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is on a beautiful piece of land with lots of trails to walk on. It was comfortable with 2 bedrooms and a beautiful deck overlooking the fields. Equidistant from Winona and Lacrosse there were a bunch of places to visit and activities to do nearby. It's a little confusing when you arrive because you have to drive past other buildings to get to the chalet. However, it's not difficult once you know where you're going.

The lodge is ideally suited for folks visiting the area and seeking a lodge with fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and full WiFi/cable TV. Set up for hunters and fisherman with a room dedicated for cleaning your game. Vacuum sealer and freezer provided as well as washing machine and clothes dryer. Great for bikers running the Great River Road or boaters cruising the mighty Mississippi River. Close to food and drink if you desire not to cook your own meals.
  • We spent one night at the townhouse while on a weekend trip along the river. It's in a convenient location between Alma and Fountain City. Sue and her husband met us for check in and were friendly and gracious. The townhouse is in the town and there are a number of bars/restaurants within walking distance. The townhouse is above some apartments and we occasionally could hear a barking dog or TV, but it wasn't a big issue. The space is quite large which was nice for us and our three boys. They liked having their own room and plenty of room to move around. Two bathrooms is also a plus. The decor is updated and modern and is well designed. The kitchen is spacious with new appliances and a larger counter/bar area. We liked the game table and the open space with kitchen/dining/living area combined. The check out time was flexible and the process easy. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay and would definitely visit again.

  • Our group of seven had a fantastic stay at the farm house, including our 3yr old labradoodle. Kirsten was great in providing all the information necessary before the trip. The house was great- it had all of the amenities we'd want and more. The land is beautiful, and we were so sad to leave it behind! Thank you, Kirsten, for opening your home to us!

  • Serene was an understatement. This place was absolutely lovely. Very well taken care of home with everything you'd ever need to do whatever you want. Kirsten was super easy to work with. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

  • We had a great family stay at the farmhouse. It was indeed serene! Gorgeous setting; we've never been so far from the maddening crowd. We had almost no (AT&T) cell reception at the house, which was actually just fine with us. Wifi worked great so we could stay a little bit in touch with the world. House was very clean. Beds were comfy & we had lots of space. We cooked quite a bit & found the kitchen to be the best equipped of any Airbnb we've stayed at - every possible pot/pan/bowl/gadget one could need. We would have loved to dine outside more but were rained out a couple of nights. But no matter - we thought the place was just swell. Our 13yr old loved the trampoline & I loved the hammock. Truly the best part about the farmhouse is its location down a dead end road - no sounds but the sounds a nature & the occasional farm tractor a few miles down the valley. It really is a slice of heaven. Thanks for a such a great stay!

  • An absolute gem! This was a perfect place for our getaway. Very rural, we'll set up, and quiet. Nothing like grilling and sitting around the campfire. All followed by a well appointed farmhouse. I couldn't recommend this property more.

  • I have traveled a bit and find Kirsten Polman' s farm unique in many ways. Sit on on the deck and look the other way! Enough about views, A germophobe, and cook, I could not ask for a place that was more incredibly clean and quiet. nothing has been forgotten.Thank you Kirsten !

  • Fountain City Farm is one of the most beautiful spots on the planet. However, I'll never go back. It appears to be owned by a hunters' consortium and the host doesn't seem to have much connection with the property, except as admin. She promised a discount before I booked, and I was in convo with her for several weeks of promising a refund without taking action, I concluded that she didn't intend to pay. She followed through with the refund just before we arrived, but by then I no longer trusted her. And because the property has a strict cancellation policy, I couldn't back out of the reservation, which I would have done the instant there was any monkey business about money.

  • It was exactly what we wanted/needed for a quiet get away. The house was clean and calm, the landscape was gorgeous. Our dog had the best time off leach on the property and my 5year old loved the hamack and swing set. It was the perfect spot in the middle of no where. Thanks to Kirsten for a delightful stay

  • An absolutely amazing stay! The location was incredible. We used the bikes to ride to Perrot State Park and did a full day of hiking there. The following days we used the kayaks to go around the loop that literally starts right outside your door. The owners were also incredible. So easy to work with and answered my texts very quickly. The owners also provided excellent information to area attractions, hiking, biking, kayaking and more. I will absolutely be coming back to stay at this location again. The place was so clean and accommodating. An amazing getaway for two people. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped with very nice dishes. The fire pit was lovely and a perfect way to end the evening. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to literally walk with your kayak just a few yards and drop right into the river. Thank you for such an incredible stay!

  • Great Lake cabin. Easy access to river and great biking trails. Very comfy and cozy, highly recommended. Beth and Mark communicated well throughout process.

    Debbie2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was exactly as described - clean, comfy, and located on Long Lake, a backwater of the Mississippi where you can slip right into the water on the kayaks that Beth and Mark provide. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. The location is great - nearby Perrot State Park, the Wildlife Refuge, and the bike trail. We had a great weekend!

Briggs Farm is a family-owned outdoor adventure and event destination encompassing 560 acres of wooded bluffs, meadows, farmland, and creek bottoms. The farm was one of the first in Winona County; today, the Briggs family maintain a small herd of grass-fed beef cattle on the farm, but most of the property is managed to attract wildlife. Whether you’re coming for a one-day event or staying a week, host Steve Briggs wants you to have the best experience possible.
This is a rustic country farmhouse that sleeps up to ten in three bedrooms and on a fold-out bed in a common space off the living room. The home includes all the essentials: bath, shower, full kitchen, dining area, satellite television (okay, that last one might not be "essential," but nice on a winter evening). The farmhouse, which dates to the 1930s, is decorated with a mix of modern amenities and antiques. The house includes a porch, a deck, and beautiful views onto the bluffs of Cedar Valley. See our extensive photo gallery here, or the video tour of the farmhouse on our website, for more details.
Cedar Valley features the Cedar Valley Country Club three miles down the road, with dining and golf. Winona, 25 minutes by car, features two universities, many activities, festivals, and shopping.
  • Beautiful, quiet and serene (but don't forget the bug spray). Steve is a nice guy, very easy to work with in accommodating our large group. It was a nice getaway from the cities!

  • Place has no locks on any of the outside doors, unsafe! Property was cluttered, house was dirty, dusty, and musty.....

    Jason2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great authentic farm. Homey

    Tara2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a "living on the farm" feel to our trip and we got what we wanted. Nestled in a quite valley your surrounded by Cattle and sheep on the bluff side, cold water trout stream along the front of property and of course chickens calling in the background and farms dogs watching over it all. 20 Minutes to Winona or Lacrosse area for convenience. Enjoy.

    ryan2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was easy to get a hold of and pleasant to work with. The home and property are beautiful. We had a group stay and were greeted promptly with about a foot of snow. It was the perfect place for us to hunker down for a few nights. Despite being on gravel the roads were plowed by 7:30a and we were able to get to and from without problem. Thanks again, Steve!

    Chris2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted upon arrival and given a few instructions and then left to totally enjoy the beautiful surrounding of Briggs Farm

    LINDA2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a great host! Friendly, helpful, and the farm was a delight.

    Nicole2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this farm and its' wonderful host, Steve Briggs! If you're looking for an isolated spot in Eastern Minnesota with plenty of room to spread out, you should certainly consider the Briggs farm. This was the perfect place to decompress from daily life and reconnect with those who matter most. Both my 13 yr old girl and 6 yr old boy always had plenty to do and truly loved living a more simplified life for a few days. We laughed, we played, and just existed with each other free from the hustle of daily life. Upon arrival, Steve will graciously orient you to your surroundings then let you know he's available if needed by a quick simple message each morning just to check on you. Outside of that you can feed the farm animals, roam the trails, and burn lots of firewood if it's cold out! We'll be back in warmer months to try our luck at trout fishing in the pristine creek that runs through the property. Thanks again Steve! Kevin Stablier, New Orleans area

No other place like this! This is the lower level of our home which has around 2500 sf. There are 3 bedrooms, kitchen area with full size refrigerator and stove, 55" TV with cable, pool table, Foosball table, all carpeted (new). Washer/dryer, coffee maker and bathroom (sink and stool) with shower located separably. Windows ONLY in bedrooms. All LED lighting in living room. Very roomy and clean. Located on the west end of Winona, about 4 miles to Winona Health.
Our family has lived here for 16 years, there is a double door to enter the home, you would get a code for the front door which is your own entrance. Very safe environment.
This home is located is a residential neighborhood. There is a dairy queen one block away, pretty quite setting.
  • David is super friendly and accommodating! The place is so spacious and who doesn't love a big screen tv and pool table?! We were his first clients so they are a work in progress but it has amazing potential for a great, safe place to stay with more room than any hotel.

    LeeAnn2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy place with a lot of space! David is super nice and the location is near the downtown area with good shops and restaurants.

    Jonathan2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The description was very accurate. David was friendly, a good communicator and flexible. The place was just what we needed since we were out and about all day. Being in the basement it felt comfortably like part of the household, just like staying in the lower level when we stay with family.

    Anna2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dave, the property owner is very friendly. He and his wife had the rooms all ready and fully stocked with anything I might need. The space itself is very neat: kitchenette, pool table, large tv. 5/5.

Fall colors, Apple picking and a cozy vacation! This is the place to stay! Enjoy your stay at our quaint lake house nestled on 2 & 1/2 acres of woods, lawn and lake shore. This beautiful spot, located in Galesville, WI is the perfect spot to enjoy all the surrounding area has to offer. Just 10 minutes from Trempealeau, the Mississippi River, and Perrot State Park. Winona, Mn, and La Crosse are only 20 minutes away! Canoe the Black River, hike the bluffs, ride the bike trails or relax!
The house is a nice, clean home with the basics you will need for a nice vacation getaway. The area has so many things to offer... fishing, hiking, biking, bird watching, golfing, wineries all with in minutes.
  • Our family of 4 adults and one toddler really enjoyed our stay here. We had never been to Galesville before and were happily surprised by the cute, historic town square while enjoying a visit to the farmers market, natural foods store, and Garden of Eaten. This accommodation gave us the quick and easy access to Perrot State Park and Winona that we were looking for. Jessica made our stay even easier by having a child's crib waiting for us so we didn't have to pack one. We would happily stay here again!

    Alyssa2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, daughter and I stayed with our friends and their two kids at Jessica's cabin. It was the perfect place to go with kids. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Jessica made sure to check in with us when we arrived and a couple of other times over the weekend. The location is nice if you want to get out and about. You can hear some traffic since it is near a major road, but all the trees help to mask that. It was a quick trip to the grocery store and easy to get out to hike. Would definitely recommend that you stay!

    Amber2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for a weekend get away! It was right on the lake and the house was absolutely charming. There is a dock that overlooks the water (but it was closed when we visited), plenty of hiking, and a winery close by. Would definitely recommend this place!
