Just booked in Talking Rock

Inspired by the desire of adventure, this Geodesic Dome rests on our 17-acre farm among beautiful forests, trails and streams. Bike, paddle, hike, fish and stargaze from the magnificent deck. The dome invites you to explore the Appalachian foothills and its surroundings, lakes, rivers and towns. Enjoy a true glamping experience, private bathroom, a bathtub, and a fantastic outdoor shower. Please note that the 12% required lodging tax has been included in the published nightly rate.
  • The Experience is not giving justice in anyway shape or form in the bio of the property. This is a Georgia Treasure that you can only dream of all the way up to when you arrive you will make it reality. The host are amazing and you can see the love they put into the property. Me and my girlfriend will be back and try and make this a regular get away just because of the so much to do if you even actually want to leave the property. I am a very creative and descriptive writer but somethings are just meant to be unspoken just experienced. If your on this site with airbnb and haven't stayed here then you have missed a piece of heaven.

  • Fabrizio and Jeffrey welcomed my friends and I to their beautiful dome, they are just the sweetest! I can't begin to describe my appreciation for the accommodations they've made for us. We were given a very informative and entertaining tour upon arrival. We really didn't have to leave the area to enjoy our trip as there are various activities to do on the property (bocche ball, archery, alpaca feeding, etc). The cowboy kitchen, outdoor bathroom, tub and the geodome were the perfect touch for our glamping trip. The only complaint is that we wish we stayed longer!

    Judy2015-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! I never saw stars like I did there! My husband and I sat down on the deck with wonder and delighted in the heavens! It was so cozy in the dome under that feather comforter! I can’t say enough about it but we already booked again for the Spring!

    Christine2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • "The best journeys answer questions that in the beginning you didn't even think to ask." My husband and I have had some interesting adventures in our new marriage, but by far the most interesting of them occurred here at Jeffrey & Fabrizio's property. We began our honeymoon expedition by following our trusty GPS down an unusable road. (This was due to the selection of 'unpaved roads' in preferences, or what we might call 'User Error.') Anyway, we eventually realized our mistake in navigating to their property and upon notifying Jeffrey & Fabrizio of our mountain mishap (I swear we're not from Florida!), they immediately jumped to action. I cannot imagine another scenario where complete strangers stop what they're doing to #1) help extract your non-off-roading-how-the-heck-do-we-get-off-this-mountain-type-vehicle And then offer: #2) let me pour you some wine while the guys fix this problem After this initial obstacle, Jeffrey and I (who stayed behind to make sure the wine was ok), and Fabrizio and Erik (who had bonded over manly tasks, like building bridges out of logs), had become quick friends. Our stay only got better as we got to settle in and realize how amazing the property they have cultivated is. The Alpaca farm is the center of the operation allowing you to interact with them if you please. The mascot of the whole place seems to be Max, the Great Pyrenese. My husband and I have only just left and are already planning our next visit. The offering of the geodome (where we stayed), plus the airstream and the beautifully renovated cabin offer all the different levels of accommodations you might want. Besides the incredible grounds and farm that Jeffrey and Fabrizio have designed is a type of life they've cultivated and chosen to share with others. These are remarkable people and the spaces they have created here reflect that.

  • Where do I begin?! My husband and I and our two daughters (17 & 20) had the most amazing time! Fabrizio and Jeffery go above and beyond the role of host and open their home to their guests! The property (easily assessible by car) is well kept and creatively decorated. We were worried about being too hot in the dome with the high 90 degree weather but there are ample fans that cool the dome comfortably (we all had blankets!) throughout the night. It does get very hot in the day so plan your water activities (Fabrizio graciously lent and transported kayaks and canoes for us to the nearby lake!) for the day. The property has a bocce ball court, a koi pond, archery, and of course the alpacas for entertainment. The chimenea and fire pit (Jeffrey supplied the s'mores!), well equipped cowboy kitchen (again Jeffrey supplied OJ, bagels, water, coffee, wine and 2 fresh eggs from their chickens one morning!) make this retreat complete! Not only is this an incredible place, but the owners are two of the most exquisite people you will ever meet! We can't thank them enough! We HIGHLY recommend this accommodation!

  • Amazingly unique, quiet and comfortable place to stay!

    Danse2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Dome sweet home! This is by far the best place I've ever stayed. We rented the dome to see the eclipse and it was so amazing we didn't want to leave! Totally private and I highly recommend it for a romantic getaway. The archery range and other games were so fun during the day and we even got to look at shooting stars and the Milky Way from the hot tub at night! Thanks so much to Rebekah and Wesley (property caretakers) for making sure everything was perfect upon our arrival and leaving some fresh eggs in the fridge for us!

    Jerome2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! All the perks of camping with so so much more! Clean, decorated great and everything you could need or want! Very peaceful and relaxing!

You’ll love Kaluna because of our Organic Farm, and our location close to Atlanta and the Mountains. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Check out our special experiences, and come share the good life with us! Drink fresh spring water, snack on wild and cultivated greens, and enjoy the action of farm life in a beautiful mountain holler! Sit by a fire under the stars, volunteer in the gardens, or bike and hike nearby trails! Come enjoy our natural paradise!
We are the sixth generation to homestead this beautiful land. Our history is colorful, and so are our fields. This is a magical place to those who love lush bottom lands and creeks galore. We have several pre-civil war log cabins, a round house, a primitive camp sites, greenhouses, orchards, chickens, friendly farm animals, and much more. Our spring is famous for delicious refreshing water goodness. We are close to Atlanta and many trails in the Ellijay area. And Carter's lake is around the corner. This is a beautiful natural get-away and active farm. If you need more space, we also have Kaluna's Authentic Off-the-grid Log Cabin listed on AirBnB also, it sleeps another couple.
  • Lovely hosts. Beautiful farm.

    Lillian2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The property was at the end of a very winding, gravel road - what a treat to come upon! We stayed here for 1 night before we headed to meet friends in the mountains. Ben and Meghan were very good at communicating and keeping me posted for arrival. Check out the River Street Tavern in downtown Ellijay.

    Melora2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • There is nothing better than a cozy escape off the beaten path, particularly when paired with the simple comforts of a warm bed and generous spa-like shower. I loved all the sounds of nature and learning a little about organic farming too. Hosts were easy going and kind. I'd come again for sure. This is a rustic setting. Visitors should be prepared to use stairs, a gravel drive into the woods (no street lights) and mother nature in all her splendor.

    Diana2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to get away from it all, finally get close to the earth and enjoy God's and Ben and Meghan's creations! We will return soon for sure......

    Sharon2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Dream cabin! Secluded and peaceful, with farm animals and the most beautiful bamboo forest lining the front porch. Highly recommend!!

    Rachael2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • For me, having opportunities to get to know the hosts when the opportunity presents itself is as enjoyable as the place I'm staying. Ben and Meghan are my favorite hosts so far. Like any good host, your interaction with them is as minimal or as much as you pursue. They were very respectful of our space and invited us into what they were doing at our discretion. The place is wonderful. This is an active organic farm with a lot of family history. The bamboo roost is small but very cozy snd well kept. An exceptionally cozy bed I just say. Ben and Maugham have put a lot of work into making their spaces updated to accommodate guests. The setting is magnificent. It is in a mountain holler not far from most sightseeing/hiking activities. Cell service is minimal, but wifi is included in the roost. We'll be returning in the fall to check out their primitive cabin(they have more than one spot on Airbnb). This will be a memorable stay if you decide to go with it.

    Ben2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful location to get away and relax. Ben and his family are very helpful and welcoming people. We arrived very late at night due to traffic and waited up to check us into the cabin.

    Alexandra2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what we were looking for in an off-the-beaten-path stay. Ben and family were accommodating hosts. Great vibes all around!

Experience off-the-grid living! Come enjoy the good life in my ancestors authentic log cabin! This is a unique chance to live simple and close to the Earth. The cabin sits above our garden, and yet the trees give you nice relaxing privacy. The shade of the trees and power from solar panels keep this space cool and comfortable. If you need a easy close escape from the city, come cool out by the creek and spring!
Kaluna is our multifaceted homestead. We are a Morganic farm, meaning we go beyond organic cert standards to manage our whole property, no chemicals have been sprayed in the last twenty years. The owners transformed this space from a family junkyard back in the mid-90s. It is a magical realm of creeks and wonderful trees, plants, and old cabins. We like to host workshops and other events along the lines of health and farming. When you arrive, we like to invite our guest to meet our spring where we get delicious drinking water.
We are close to many wonderful outdoor areas and vineyards. This is a good jump off point for Carter's lake, the Cohutta Wilderness, and many hiking and biking trails.
  • We loved being off the grid! Enjoyed talking to Mehgan & Cedar.

    Connie2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this campsite! Our cabin was so cool, the hosts were more than accommodating and the layout is perfect. They have everything you need close by and were very helpful. The scenery is amazing! Ben's place is a perfect getaway.

  • Exactly as advertised! Rustic cabin getaway perfect for two.

  • We enjoyed the warm and friendly greeting. Great place to stay!

    Kirk2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a super fun and funky spot. Spent a cozy winter night in the Roost, enjoyed a fire by the creek, and the company of the many different animals that seem to run the place. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a bit more rustic and out of the ordinary.

    Ollie2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place. Ben is a great host you couldn’t ask for more. My girlfriend and I went for the weekend. We had plans to do so much that weekend but then when we got there we preferred to stay on the property and hang out by the campfire that Ben set up for us. It was very relaxing. Perfect getaway from work. We will definitely be back very soon!

    Sid2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The off-the-grid cabin is awesome! The cabin itself is very rustic, yet accommodating. It was so nice to disconnect and get re-centered. Close enough to all of the Ellijay/Jasper/Dawsonville amenities and far enough to escape from the city. Ben and Meghan were super helpful in getting us setup and ensuring that we were comfortable throughout our stay. I highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing getaway!

Driftwood-Riverfront A-frame cabin w/hot tub, float back to your cabin!
Look no further, you have found the perfect 1 bedroom mountain getaway cabin. The Driftwood is a beautiful rustic A frame cabin on a gorgeous riverfront setting, with a private hot tub, wood burning fireplace and all the modern conveniences. Only an hour from both Atlanta and Chattanooga, but a million miles from the rush of city life. You may want to start your get away before you even get in the front door. Take in the scene and relax on the rocking chair front porch overlooking the river, or set up the hammock, kick back and listen to the water go by. Once inside you are greeted with the charm that is Driftwood. The simple living area has a sleeper sofa facing a wood burning fireplace and a flat screen TV with DVD player. (Cable and WIFI as well) Cell service isn’t great, there is a land line at the cabin. Around the corner is the kitchen with stainless appliances and a table with seating for four. The full bathroom with a tub/shower combo round out the main level. Upstairs in the loft is a king size bed (flat screen and DVD player as well) overlooking the cozy living room beneath. (The stairs to the loft are steeper than a normal stairwell, be advised if mobility is an issue) Central heating and air plus ceiling fans to keep you comfortable. Outside is where Driftwood really picks up its character. Full size hot tub, gas grill with a spare tank, fire pit and horseshoes all on an acre of beautiful tree filled mountain land with 200 feet of river frontage. Easy access to the river for great fishing, tubing, canoe and kayaking or just wading in the cool water. Bring some tubes, put in upstream and float back home, it takes about 20 minutes. Dog friendly; make sure you pack their favorite ball for hours of playtime. (They deserve a vacation too!) Conveniently located halfway between Ellijay and Jasper, a few miles from Carters Lake and just off the four lane highway, no steep hills in the way, easy to get to. Shopping and restaurants are just ten minutes away. Everything from waterfalls to wineries with day trips to Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Amicalola Falls State Park, Ocoee whitewater rafting and miles of hiking and biking trails all right in your back yard.
  • I hate to leave a bad review, but as I wrote to Dominic, this is a cute place and with some attention it can be an extraordinary place to stay. The view is beautiful, the location is lovely and the town is so cute.

Escape the hustle and bustle of your busy, everyday life and head to ‘7 Timbers,’ a 3-bedroom + loft, 2-bathroom vacation rental cabin which comfortably sleeps 14 in the woodlands of Jasper, Georgia. Tucked into a private, 15-acre valley with creekside trails and an open grassy field, this home is the perfect mountain getaway. Relax on the deck, gather around the fire pit, visit the town of Jasper, or take a day trip to Atlanta during your ‘7 Timbers’ retreat.
Master Bedroom: Queen Bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: Full Bed | Loft: 2 Queen Beds | Open Second Level Living Area: Twin-over-Twin Bunk Bed, Twin Trundle Built by hand from the reclaimed and refurbished timbers of 19th century Atlanta Warehouses and factories, ‘7 Timbers’ is truly a one-of-a-kind rustic masterpiece. Upon arrival, you’ll fall in love with the serene 15 acres of woodlands and grassland surrounding the barn-style home. The barn theme continues inside of the home, with its wide, thick floor planking, robust post and beam architecture and vintage decor. From the exposed stained concrete floor of the ground level and the massive timber posts and beams, to the rustic tin roofs and smoke stack, ‘7 Timbers’ was designed and built for travelers seeking a unique, fun mountain getaway. The large, open ground floor space feels like a cantina or rustic hotel lobby with its large open kitchen area designed to serve many while acting as an extension of the wide open lounging area for informal meals or casual entertainment space. Adjacent to the stairs leading up to the second floor lies a quiet reading space that offers repose, an antique curio cabinet and a cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and has 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, a gas range, 2 dishwashers, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and full stock of kitchenware, utensils, dishware and silverware. Adding to the uniqueness of the wide-open ground floor space which combines the living area and kitchen, a large overhead garage-like door on one wall can be rolled open to an outdoor covered patio with seating and bench, along with a large sliding screen door to keep bugs out, but cool mountain air in. The patio space is truly perfect for entertaining or extending the living room out into the mountain air. Along with the covered patio with the roll-up door, ‘7 Timbers’ offers an additional large outdoor wooden deck off of the dining area and kitchen. This large deck features a beautiful view into the mountain woodlands and features a gas grill, along with a table and chairs. Another outdoor space is available on the covered second floor veranda, which overlooks the beautiful woodland vista. Both kids and parents will delight in the upstairs loft and ‘Ships Tower.’ A ship’s ladder leads to the loft from the second floor, and a small wooden gate protects the opening into the loft at the top of the ladder. In the loft, you’ll find 2 separate sleeping quarters, each with queen-sized beds and night stands. Although the head room in the loft area is low, it offers enough clearance for adults to access the sleeping quarters, but with limited headroom. Across a catwalk spanning the second floor below is the nautical ‘Ships Tower,’ which offers an imaginative recreation of old-fashioned ships bridge with ships wheel and offers great views from the top of the cabin. Additional sleeping accommodations include 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds, one with a full-sized bed, and an open area with a twin-over-twin bunk bed and twin trundle. One of the most interesting aspects of ‘7 Timbers’ is its natural climate control system. There is no central heating or air conditioning at the cabin, because it is heated by a wood-burning stove (firewood provided with an additional fee from October thru April), adding to the classic cozy cabin-factor. In addition to the cast iron wood-burning stove, gas wall heaters and electric floor heaters warm rooms and bathrooms and other parts of the cabin for quick heating when required. To further help control temperature, the home is cooled from ambient thermal flow from the earth. The beautiful, massive, stained concrete slab on the ground level absorbs the soil’s ground temperature and radiates it into the cabin. The massive beams and materials making up the skin of the cabin greatly insulate the inside air to keep it a comfortable +/- 75 degree ambient temperature. Additionally, the cabin is cooled by a large portable air conditioner on the ground floor, 5 ceiling fans on the main level and window air-conditioning units in each of the 3 private bedrooms. To keep upstairs levels cooler, there is a screened loft skylight window, which can be opened and used as a vent in combination with the third floor loft fans to draw the cooler main level air up into the loft area. Finally, one of the most remarkable aspects of ‘7 Timbers’ is the 15 acres of lush woodlands that it sits on. Look forward to good times gathered around the fire pit surrounded by wooden camp chairs and a huge custom picnic table. Relax beside the beautiful creek that runs alongside the property and merges into the larger Talking Rock Creek. Hike along the trails that run beside the creeks that eventually lead to a series of beautiful cascading rocky waterfalls and even to the ruins of a historic river grist mill off of the property, presumably from the 1800's. Also above the cabin is a large level playing field, where kids can play outdoor games!
This cabin’s location on 15 acres of woodlands is a dream for outdoor lovers. Hike along the property’s numerous trails while appreciating the mountain views, peaceful woods, and animals passing by. There is also an abundance of hiking trails all around Jasper, so take your pick and prepare to be amazed by the beautiful, natural scenery. Just a 20-minute drive north, you'll find Amicalola Falls, the tallest waterfall in GA! Additionally, there are some great lookouts 5 minutes up the road. Drive 10 minutes to find the perfect souvenir in the small mountain town of Jasper. Browse through antique shops and enjoy southern cuisine at the numerous restaurants. Wine lovers will appreciate the cabin’s close proximity to vineyards, including Fainting Goat Vineyards and Winery and Sharp Mountain Vineyards. If you’re up for a day trip, drive just over an hour to get to downtown Atlanta, where you’ll find a whole new world of restaurants, shops and entertainment to experience!
  • We had terrible experiences communicating with this company. We confirmed and booked a stay, and the company quickly canceled (it was during the Hurricane Irma evacuation, so it happened often with so much traffic on Airbnb). The problem is, unlike other hosts, they never refunded our fee. We reached out multiple times and never received a response, and eventually refuted the charge with our credit card company (to this day, we have never heard from them).

Branches is a cozy, unique cabin with a central skylight above an open plan living and dining area. Sliding glass doors (3) bring the outside in. Long porches and a charming bedroom balcony draw you outdoors to set a spell.
Perfect for a quiet getaway, Branches offers a fully furnished kitchen, modern appliances, separate bedroom, living room sleeper sofa. Dining tables inside and on the porch. Bench swing and rocker encourage time to relax and enjoy the view of the surrounding woods and wildlife.
Branches is peacefully nestled in woods filled with wildlife, birds, butterflies and more. It's ideal for nature enthusiasts, artists, or those wanting to simply experience an escape from stress. Want to get out? Award winning restaurants and gardens, zip line, hiking trails, and historic attractions await you nearby.
  • Branches was everything we'd hoped it would be. You truly feel as though you are secluded and tucked away from the world. The cabin itself is quite lovely and cozy. All of the sliding glass doors really bring the outside in. I wish I could build a cabin just like it for myself! The area is awesome! Jasper has a lot of conveniences - Kroger, Wal-Mart, and countless spots to eat. We had a wonderful dinner at 61 Main on Saturday night. Another great thing about Jasper is how close it is to so many other things! We traveled to the Alpine village of Helen on Saturday - it's pretty touristy and kind of like a miniature Gatlinburg. On Sunday we hiked up Grassy Mountain and enjoyed the view from the fire tower at the summit. We got engaged over the weekend, so Branches will always be dear to us. Nancy and John gave us all the privacy we needed, but were there for any issue that arose (none did). I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing time.

  • AMAZING! Do not think about it twice, just book it! Branches will steal your heart. The hosts, scenery and location are perfect. Lots of national parks around the area if you are interested in hiking and taking gorgeous pictures. We absolutely loved our stay and would not change one bit of it. Branches has so many special touches and it really feels like home. Nancy and John really outdid themselves with all the details and they are amazing hosts!

  • This cabin was the perfect spot for our family to connect before sending our youngest off to college 2000 miles away. Everything was perfect and John and Nancy were more than accommodating. A heartfelt five star recommendation is given to John and Nancy with intention to come back to Branches as soon as possible. Loved it !

    beth2016-08-29T00:00:00Z

    Jody2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and John were so welcoming and they both truly love sharing their little cabin of solitude. Branches is welcoming, quiet, and a wonderful value. This was a perfect escape for our family during the holidays.

  • What a great place to stay. Branches is very cozy and the cabin lets in a tremendous amount of natural light to offset the wood interior. The location is a great home base for north Georgia adventures or a great place to just relax and do nothing. The wooded property is very nice and John and Nancy really care for their property as well as their guests. Highly recommended.

We brought some of our beach life to N. GA mountains, Jasper. Plenty to do: trails, waterfalls, restaurants, wine tours, Marble & Apple Festival, & scenic drives. Coffee, tea, mixed juices available. Wonderful mountain experience, with paved roads. We use green products for those with allergy concerns. Additional listing -Jasper Jewel. NOTE: for those considering this location for Superbowl - 6 adults booking together will get a special rate.
Great for reconnecting with nature & maybe a friend or two. Two rooms, share Jack & Jill bath, but have their own private vanity space. The sunroom is available for Queen air mattress, $15 per person. Half bath is available. We are listed with no children under 12, but would consider one, well-behaved child.
Our home is just outside of Jasper, N.GA mountains. You can get on the 515 & get to many points of interest: everything from Apples to Wine. It takes you N to Ellijay or Blue Ridge, or S to the Outlet Mall in Canton. We are just over an hour from Atlanta. Perfect location for the Marble Festival. We have some great restaurants less than a mile & several a short distance.
  • Lovely and super clean home in quiet cul de sac with welcoming hosts! Driving distance to hiking trails, apple orchards, saw some wine tasting places, and Big'uns bbq place. Angela and Jim also have local maps and brochures if you need any...not to mention healthy snacks, coffee and tea.

    Tom2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house, beautiful and well kept, is located in a quite neighborhood a short drive from some great hiking, enjoyable wineries, and a lake. The town has a quaint downtown with many peasant people. The best part of Angela's place is Angela. Always there to share a story, start a conversation, or provide privacy, she and Jim can give you some great recommendations whether you are looking for a bite to eat, a wine to drink, or a trail to hike. Angela also has a wealth of knowledge about the town and surrounding towns to fit whatever lifestyle or spur of the moment desires you might have. If I return to the Jasper area, I can't imagine looking to stay anywhere else.

  • We came all the way down from New York to enjoy the kayak routes in Nantahala. Jason's cabin is only few miles from the nearest route and we had a blast. Perfect to visit, when you plan to make a feast and cook and grill as the heart desires. Would definitely visit again!!

    Daniel2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Secluded and wonderful. Very private and spacious. Jason was very accommodating.

    Jeffery2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at The Family Treehouse was awesome. Pictures do not do this property any justice. The atmosphere was fantastic, the location just as good, and the amenities were almost perfect. Jason's communication is outstanding. He was very nice when we were talking on the phone and went out of his way to explain any and everything about the cabin and the surrounding area. We would definitely be interested in staying again in this cabin.

  • We had a great time at the treehouse in the woods. It was a beautiful place to stay. Lots of room. Very quite and my family loved it. Jason was great host and communicated great with me. Would stay here again no doubt!

  • A few friends and I just spent the weekend at this beautiful "treehouse". Pictures do not do this house justice. Its beautiful open layout and doors opening out on to the lovely balcony truly make it feel like you're in the trees. Very secluded and a short walk or super short drive to the Meichtry Winery. We had plans to venture out of the cabin more but just never felt the need to. The cabin comes equip with everything you need to make meals and just relax. Jason was a great host and was super easy to communicate with. Cant wait to come back and visit beautiful North Georgia again soon!

    Ashley2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely. Plenty spacious and the beds were a nice size. Jason came by to drop off propane for the grill-- though the grill ended up being out of commission-- and he was really kind and welcoming. The only con I have is that we were instructed to take our trash with us. Besides that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

    Angelique2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet and peaceful! cabin was much larger than what we really needed (only 4 people), and is obviously a passion for their family by the odds and ins used in their décor. Great host and great property, will be going back again to this property probably with more people!

    dave2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway to commune with nature. Beautiful house with great decor, modern conveniences, and large game room downstairs. Bedrooms are gorgeous. Bit of an issue with wasps (outside) and scorpions (inside) but that is just the mountain environment, nothing against the host or his tries to manage them. Bring Benadryl if you are allergic and be observant to avoid most issues. The house is well kept and clean. The grill was not working but the fire pit was nice to have. Loved our experience. Central location to many day trips with just a short drive through the mountains.

A great thing about this spot is that is fenced and allows and pooches to safely enjoy the great outdoors. Dogs are welcome (cats can be discussed but concerned about the furniture .. claws and & spray especially)
Safe and easy to access .. this area is just far enough out to be peaceful and relaxing but easy to get to great dining shopping and adventure!
  • George’s is a very nice place that is as described. He has lots of added little touches that were nice surprises like snacks and board games. There are tons of extra blankets and towels so no fears there. The two queen beds were much firmer than we are truly comfortable on, but that’s just a personal preference. There is tons of space and the view from the deck is beautiful. We unfortunately were there over a very rainy weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy the firepit or the outdoor spaces much, but they are plentiful. There are a lot of flies buzzing around inside that got a bit annoying (especially when trying to eat). Overall it is a very nice place and we had a nice stay.

  • I highly recommend this cabin. Lots of room. Great country location. Host provided everything we needed. Very nice campfire area and large yard for kids to play. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook. And I love how the kitchen dining area and living room area or open space so that everybody could have room to enjoy themselves. I will definitely rent this cabin again. My family Said this is a done deal next year!

    tammy2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived and everything seemed to look great. I was unaware there was an apartment in the basement as I was led to believe I had rented the entire house. The gate was broken but I was able to help George get it back in usable shape the next day. Ice maker quit working but George brought me a bag of ice. Use caution on upper deck about the door. The wind blew it shut locking my husband and 2 dogs out in 18degree weather. There was loud traffic on the road even with it being a rural road. George tried to make it work, but I didn't really feel safe for my dogs or personally after the electronic lock malfunctioned and locked and unlocked continuously for an hour. It is a nice home, but I guess I hit it at the wrong time. I left halfway and went home. George does try to please but just too many mishaps at the time I went. He has some great reviews. Like I said, I guess it wasn't the right time for me.

    Ann2018-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a lucky find! My family and I had the most relaxing stay in George’s mountain cabin. Spacious, clean and with killer sunset views. From abundant wildlife to convenient nearby hiking we were impressed. Not to mention... beyond timely response. George was always available to communicate before and during our stay. Thanks again!!

    Shelley2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! A few flies but outside of that, everything was great!

    jimmy2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic spot! We were George’s first guests and he has done a wonderful job setting everything up. The home itself is lovely with both a gated front porch and a screened back deck, with a marvelous view of those beautiful north Georgia mountains. Everything was very clean, and we had all the things we needed. The furniture was very comfortable and clean and we were able to really relax while there. Our favorite feature, though, was the large, fenced yard and gardens! What a find in a rental like this! We’ve stayed in houses and apartments all over the world, and have never stayed in a place like this. We brought our three dogs, and it was so nice to be able to let them out to run and play and not have to be on their leashes all the time. As far as location, I quite like the distance to town. It’s within a couple of miles of plenty of stores and restaurants, but still very secluded. We will be back, since Ellijay is my hometown, and we most certainly intend to reserve this home again.

The community lake/park is a 10 minute walk You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the neighborhood, and lake access My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

  • Great place and incredible value. Very spacious and easy check in and out. Charles was wonderful and responded quickly. I will definitely book again if I am in Jasper. The property is secluded enough even though there are neighbors and easy access to the place. Charles thoughtfully left a few things in the fridge for us and soap/toothpaste, etc. I really appreciated the host and home!

  • Great place to stay! Like the other reviews, the place is much bigger than the photos show... Very big! Very quiet area located near lots of fun stuff to do. We hit the flea markets and drove 45 minutes north to the Swan Drive-In! I highly recommend staying here and the host was absolutely wonderful in every way giving attention to small details and and left some welcome surprises for us! A wonderful quick getaway for us, thank you again!

  • The house was clean, cozy and secluded. It was a perfect place to rest up and relax after spending days at the football field. It was out of the city so we avoided the crazy traffic.. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a private place to relax. Charles was a great host!

    Melinda2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • It is a surprisingly large house, up in the mountains (somewhat off the beaten path, which is nice). He left some tasty snacks and other basics necessities (toothbrush, lotion, razors, etc). We enjoyed Amicalola Falls (about 45 min away) and Fainting Goat Winery. Also, check out 61 Main and Woodbridge Inn Restaurant if you want some tasty eats!

  • This place is a hidden gem. Fabrizio and Jeffrey were wonderful hosts and great people to get to know. The property is gorgeous, it felt like a peaceful retreat. We will be returning in the Spring and already look forward to seeing them again and their lovely property. The airstream and wonderful outdoor spaces felt like home. We will always cherish the memories of this trip and many trips there yet to come.

  • My 8 year old niece and I had a great stay in the airstream. The combination of cozy indoor space and lovely covered outdoor living room was perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature all around us. We were disappointed to learn that the alpacas have moved on, but the chickens and Max the dog were a hit. Rebekah was a lovely hostess -- I especially appreciate the time she spent letting my niece help with the animals. She also made great suggestions on local activities and even sites to visit along our onward route. Thank you again for a great stay.

    Emily2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a wonderful stay in the airstream. It was my first time in an airstream and my first time using airbnb. I'm certain I'll do both again soon. This is the way to do camping! The comfy porch area (the living room) was where I spent most of my time. The heat lamp helped me stay outside longer when I didn't feel like starting a fire in the nearby fire pit. The outdoor shower and the wooden tub were great features too. The weather was pretty good, so I got to do some hiking in the nearby trails in the daytime. I felt like going for a drive too - the views from nearby Fort Mountain were incredible. I could have just stayed onsite, however. Fabrizio taught me to shoot a bow and arrow, showed me his new telescope, and pretty much told me to treat the place like home. I'm looking forward to another visit, spending more time with the alpacas and visiting with the wonderful hosts! I was solo this time, but I'm certain I'll return with friends. There's plenty of space there, I learned, for everyone to find peace and quiet. Truly a wonderful place less than a couple hours away from home in Atlanta.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend, and to say that we had a great time in the Airstream trailer would be an understatement. It was easily the best weekend we've had in a long time. The perfect getaway. To start, check-in was a breeze. Fabrizio gave us great directions to arrive at the location, and once we got there, he greeted us with a warm smile and took us on a quick drive to the other side of his property. Once we were at the Airstream, he showed us around, and made sure we knew exactly where everything was and how everything worked. He was so thoughtful to have even started a fire for us in the fire pit before we arrived. The Airstream is totally secluded, and everything works great. He has really done something incredible here with the renovation of the trailer and set-up of the surrounding pavilion. It's really quite impressive. Being our first night, and arriving later than we hoped, Fabrizio pointed us to a flyer for a local pastry chef that would hand deliver freshly cooked meals. It was like having room service in the woods! Ideal and unexpected. The first morning, we went down the hill to Fabrizio's cabin, had some coffee and talked about some local sights to see. He suggested a great drive around Carters lake, then a route through the Chattahoochee National Forest, and gave us the insider tip on a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Thanks to him, we had a fantastic and adventurous day. When we got back to the Airstream, he had a fire burning and the makings for s'mores waiting for us. Fabrizio was always available to call or text if we needed anything at all. The camper sleeps like a dream. Perfect vintage atmosphere, comfortable bed and linens, and the faint sound of their dog, Max, barking the in distance to keep the Alpacas safe. The trailer is stocked with everything you need- coffee maker, kitchen items, cooking supplies, a toaster and microwave, bottled water, towels, shampoo and soap, maps and guides to local sights, and Fabrizio even stocked it with some bagels and orange juice for us. He really thought of everything. In addition to the bathroom and shower inside the trailer, there is also an outdoor bathroom and shower on the pavilion. Taking a shower outside was great! There's also a small television and a great little selection of DVD's to watch. We couldn't have dreamed up a more serene destination and experience! You are free to wander the land, and there are plenty of things to do and see. There is a large Koi pond to hang out and relax near, you can feed the Alpacas, there is an outdoor bocce court, and even a Geodesic dome with a great patio for stargazing. On our last night there, we went down to Fabrizio's cabin and had a wonderful meal, and shared stories and laughs over wine. Fabrizio and Jeffrey were...

  • I just want to say that Fabrizio and his wife Jeffrey have an amazing place. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!!! They were extremely welcoming and friendly and anything we needed they provided. The property is beautiful and tranquil!! Max the dog and all the alpacas were welcome company! The airstream was cozy and we had a great time grilling out and hanging on the porch, as well as sitting by the fire with s'mores and wine :) Visually, everything was stimulating and right up our alley! Ranging from vintage decor to Native American Indian pieces, it was quite pleasing to the eye and we felt right at home. We plan to return time and time again when we want to get of of the city for a long weekend and relax!!! Five stars to fabrizio and I highly recommend the place!!!

  • This cabin has a beautiful view and was very well appointed. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of supplies, towels, chairs, extra bedding, etc. There was a strong, unpleasant odor on the bottom floor but we have reported this and we are confident that it will be addressed. The host was great -she was always quick to answer questions. Note that if you want to use some of the amenities, there is a fee ($5.00 per person for the pool). Gorgeous development ! • The pictures don't do this place justice. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to go . I had a hard time getting my wife to leave! :) I really wanted to try the pizza oven, but the days got away from us and before we knew it, we had to leave! I love all the nice touches of the cabin and the property is just beautiful. We couldn't find a hair dryer, which would be nice to have but it wasn't a big deal. The kitchen is stocked really well and the Bluetooth speakers you connect to are amazing! We were definitely rocking it out when we could. Rebekah and Wesley were great and they responded to everything we asked very quickly. We had so much fun here. We will definitely be back!

  • Rebekah and Wesley were AWESOME! Not only were they very knowledgeable about the cabin and it's owners, but they made the process it so seamless and easy for us. This was our first airbnb experience and it was fantastic. They added personal touches to the cabin for us because it was our anniversary, made us homemade wine from a local vineyard and checked on us each day to make sure we were doing good and didn't need anything. We can't wait to come back!

  • This is the perfect getaway! The cabin is extremely cute, small but extremely spacey on the inside. Big kitchen, beautiful sun room, cozy bedrooms, extremely nice bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need and more— all kinds of spices and equipment. They were welcoming and responsive. Cabin was clean, no complaints at all. The outside was the best part, right next to a little koi fish pond, beautifully decorated with strands of lights. A very secluded and private location. I highly recommend anyone to stay here, most definitely would rent again!!!

  • Booked for a weekend stay. Arrived to residence only to discover the wrong code for the key box had been provided. Tried to retrieve key on own for about 10 minutes. Called vacasa and was given a totally new code. Only 4 beds when listing has 5. Trash and clothing behind beds. (previous guests) Bodily fluid stains on inside of comforter. (semen) All bathtubs were stopped up and held water during shower. Towels had strands of hair in them. Horrible experience. Left after 1st night to stay.

Quite secluded cabin with excellent views of the Appalachian mountains.
The BentTree Community is mainly a retirement and vacation community in North Georgia. It has a golf course, stocked lake, tennis, beach area with a park, horse stables, etc. Most of the times guests are relaxing in the cabin or on the decks, but they also commonly enjoy the local amenities above. The views in the community are great year around!
  • The cabin was very homey and secluded! The views were incredible from the deck and we were lucky enough to be there when the fall foliage was its best! There was nothing we needed or wanted that was not provided. Great girls weekend, we felt very safe in this gated community.

  • Beautiful view! Some small items that didn't make it a 5 star. Overall great getaway.

  • The cabin was well equipped with all of the items needed for our family. The views were beautiful and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking and horseback riding. The photos do not show the steep driveway, so be prepared to park at the bottom of the drive and walk up unless you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Nice trip for our Easter weekend.

  • Lovely location central to apple orchards (Reece is our fam favorite). Kids had a great time and hot tub was clean and lovely. We will be back for another weekend getaway soon.

Cabin was great! Plenty of space and was very nice, pictures don't do it justice. Jason was very easy to communicate with and was quick to answer questions. Thanks again for opening up your home.
