San Ignacio vacation rentals

We had a wonderful time here. The kitchen had everything we needed to make multiple meals. We enjoyed the grill and the hammock and waking up to the sounds of birds in all the beautiful trees. It’s clear they take pride in the property. It’s beautifully landscaped, the bathrooms and kitchens had fresh-cut flowers, and the towels and bedding were so cozy. Having laundry available was also a plus!

Our little cabin had everything we wanted, good mattresses, nice outdoor shower, air conditioning (a big plus!), a screened in porch, hammock. A very peaceful place, where we woke up to the sound of birds (and a band of howler monkeys one night). Kate is super friendly and gave us lots of recommendations and information. We had breakfast and dinner a few times and the food was excellent. Bullet Tree Falls has grocery shops, good bakery, restaurants (or maybe just the one we went to right above the river, which was very good) and a beautiful river. We were really glad that we drove the extra 4 km from San Ignacio to stay there.

Peter, Jenny, Craig and Kayleigh are phenomenal people. From the second i walked on the property Peter made me feel right at home. I dont think i have ever felt so welcomed, comfortable and safe at any Airbnb i have ever stayed in. This property is something straight out of a fairytale. The Hummingbird Rest was absolutely immaculate. So comfortable and calming. I would move in permanently if i could. Peter and his family made me feel like i was on of their own. The Crazy Tails Cat Kingdom Sanctuary was like a dream come true. Kayleigh has dedicated almost a decade of her life to rescuing and rehoming kitties. So much so that she lives with all 100+ cats. It was so amazing i canceled my evening plans for both nights i was there to spend time with the babies instead. This was my dream trip i have wanted for 40 years. Staying with this amazing family was magical. I wont ever stay anyplace else when i come to San Ignacio. Im already makimg plans to come back. Thank you so much. Perfect

The photos do not do it justice! It is surrounded by the jungle, and you will need a car, but you should have one in this area anyway. The place is immaculate, Sonia was fantastic, every need was met. The pool is perfect for a dip after a hot day of adventures. We hope to return here again and again.

Sue's place is amazing. Unbelievably clean, beautifully maintained, and Sue is super friendly and responsive. From here I walked safely and easily to Cahal Pech, the green iguana breeding facility, the Ajaw cacao tour, the Maya Walk tour start point, MANY restaurants, the open air market. A few doors uphill is a nice little convenience store for toiletries, simple groceries, meds, snacks, cold drinks, alcohol. Very reasonable prices. I will be returning here with my family!! It is seriously the perfect place. PS - Understand the country. It may be a more noisy neighborhood than you are accustom to (or not if you are from New York City or similar). I sleep lightly, and was totally fine with earplugs. In Belize not everyone has running water & electricity - even in San Ignacio. So, the AC and whole place is luxury. Even the nice hotel I stayed in had freeze-dried coffee in the lobby and restaurant (none in room), but Sue's amazing kitchen had a coffee maker!! I was very excited.

We LOVED staying at Al and Maria's rental home! The home was very clean, beautiful, and has all the amenities you would ever need! It was a plus that they have a great pool and a beautiful view from the veranda, where you can watch the sunset and listen to the birds. The location of this place was also great because it was on a quiet road that was only a 10 min drive from downtown. Al, Maria, and their son were all wonderful hosts! They really added to the great experience of our trip. They're wonderful people and always responded quickly! We will definitely book with them again when we return!

Fantastic large house that was very clean! Looked just like the pictures and was so much room for a family of four. The pool was amazing, the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great, the welcome snacks were much appreciated along with the recommendations for local restaurants. The entire property felt very safe. Terry was great to work with and always communicated quickly! We took two tours with their tour company, Cayo Inland Expeditions. The ATM cave and Tikal tours were great and the drivers and tour guides very friendly. They picked us up from the house for both tours making it super easy. The washer and dryer at the house made dealing with the dirty clothes from the ATM cave so simple! Would definitely recommend staying at Terry's Place and taking a tour or two with their company.

Creekside Cabin was the perfect little place to relax for a few days in a great area. The cabin is comfortable and has everything you need.
