  • Mike & Angel’s cabin is a well-appointed retreat nested in the quiet redwoods. Aesthetically beautiful and a perfect location for an easy drive to numerous hikes, beaches, restaurants and shops. I stayed for several weeks. Hosts were extremely responsive, thoughtful, and even across the Christmas holiday. Highly recommend!

  • Amazing home in the middle of huge trees in the forest of boulder creek! House has great lighting, loved the natural light coming in from the skylight. The house came equipped with everything we needed. The house is in a great location. Close to many state parks and the ocean. Definitely recommend this house!

    Bryanna2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and cozy place in a cute little town where everyone knows everyone. We really enjoyed the skylights to see the stars at night and the trees (and squirrels) in the morning. We made a few meals at the house with ease. The fireplace was great for the last night when we got some rain. Reached out to the host with a few questions/concerns and she was courteous and helpful. If you’re in the area and need a place to stay, consider Angel’s place!

  • Beautiful morning waking up to Redwoods! Great morning light, wonderful kitchen space... lots of toys everywhere, but that added a homey touch!

    Alexa2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • It is a beautiful cabin in the middle of the woods. It feels very remote and peaceful. It is a few minutes drive from grocery stores, restaurants, bars and hiking trails. The cabin is at an amazing spot. It feels very remote even though it is close to pretty much everything. The cat Oreo was super sweet and cuddly. The bed was very comfortable. We definitely recommend this place!

  • After reading reviews we could tell exactly what to expect from Anil’s place! It was chill and a great spot where we could get to everything in ease. Oreo was great

  • Perfect house for a weekend! Amazing location right in the beautiful forest. Isolated, cosy, almost spiritual place with so many artistic, magical details, paintings and toys. This house has its unique soul!!! Responsive, kind host! We’ll definitely be back!!!

    Kristina2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Anil is an amazing host and we had the pleasure of staying at his place last weekend! The house was spacious, but like some other reviews said, it felt a little like you were crashing in someone's house that they were currently living at. The cat, Oreo, was extremely friendly and let us play with her. Fireplace was very nice to use - it gets pretty cold in the bedroom/living spaces. Overall, a very fun stay in the redwoods!

    Nicholas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and Anil was very friendly!

Our guests can enjoy our private guest suite with its own entrance and full bathroom. Our two acre property features tall trees, seasonal river swimming on our private beach, fishing, kayaking, and exploring. We are 90 seconds from Downtown Boulder Creek, minutes away from incredible Santa Cruz mountain wine tasting, hiking, fine dining, and the coastline. SCC Permit #181307
The space is a small guest suite attached to the main house. The guest suite comes with a living room area with large flat screen TV and entertainment system, full bath, and small bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a desk and work area in the bedroom. The listing is meant for 2 but can accommodate 2 and a small child or 3 if you don’t mind getting cozy. The suite has its own entrance, and is completely private from the main house. The space is small and not very fancy as we are not fancy folk. I actually made some of the items and furniture in the suite from materials i found onsite when we purchased the property. The living room area has a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. We also provide complimentary coffee and tea to our guests. The property is beautiful year round. We invite you to come be our guests. We look forward to hosting you. Coronavirus update: We are taking the current pandemic very seriously. We've stepped up our cleaning and sanitizing. We temporarily asking that all guests limit their stay with immediate family members. No additional guests will be permit during this time. • Steve's place is in the most wonderful location. It is just a minute drive into downtown Boulder Creek and steps away from the most beautiful deck on the river. We truly enjoyed the relaxing location and homey place to stay. The place is filled with nice touches and is extremely comfortable. The NES games were a fun touch too! We will be back soon!

A-frame cabin nestled beneath mighty redwoods. Perched on a beautifully landscaped hillside with big ferns, trails, foot bridges, little streams and waterfalls during rainy season. Dip your feet in the creek after a hike. Inside is newly remodeled, redwood and pine walls and ceilings, new wood floors. Balcony to relax outside. King size bed, armchairs, table, roll top desk. Nice clean bathroom. Coffee, toaster, microwave, mini fridge. Seperate keyed entry.
There's a coffee shop in town called the treehouse cafe, which actually has a big redwood tree growing right through the middle. Good coffee too. Right down the street the other way is the big attraction, Big Basin State Park. Words cannot describe.
  • A nice simple cabin to stay at. Clean and convenient with stores near by. Walls are thin so I can hear everything such as a sneeze, cough and movements of people underneath. This studio cabin sits on top of another unit. Floor squeaks a lot and there is a trail of water from the roof leakage in the bedroom and bathroom area.

  • We had a lovely stay at Paul's cabin.

    Barbara2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Charming house and place, surrounded by nature. Excellent host, pending our arrival. The house is nice, we don't feel cold inside it.

    Joan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place is very conveniently located if you're going to Big Basin Redwoods State park. It's close to the park and close to the town of Boulder Creek, as well. It's a cozy space and a nice getaway.

    Jeff2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely stay at Paul’s place in Boulder Creek! The cabin is so nice and clean and in a wonderful area. I thought the cabin was going to be small because of the vaulted ceiling, but it was very spacious and had great light from the skylight. It was lovely waking up in the morning in a comfy bed, and looking up at the trees through the skylight. The evening we were there and the next morning, we took the short and easy path down near the creek to enjoy the sounds of nature. It was a lovely little getaway! Thank you Paul, I hope we have the opportunity to stay with you again!

    Jess2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Paul’s location was great. Very sparkling clean. Bed was comfy. Shower water does get hot as stated :) skylight was very nice to wake up to. I never met Paul but check in/out was easy and communication was great. Would recommend to anyone. Very private.

    Deslina2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a BEAUTIFUL, clean home in a great location. Paul (the host) is very attentive and kind. The backyard is an adventure all itself there is a little trail to follow with wooden steps down to a full creek! I will most definitely be rebooking this summer to explore. Thank you again to Paul. To everybody reading, book it! You will love the experience!

  • The Little Cabin is an absolute dream! Such a wonderful and serene location that is close to state parks (we hiked in Big Basin). Kendra and Josh have created a calming little oasis that is stylish and filled with really thoughtful touches. The back deck overlooking the creek is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and unwind. If we’re ever back in the area, we will make sure we stay there again! Highlight of our California trip.

  • Looking for a cozy, comfy getaway? Look no further! This place exceeded expectations! The location is really ideal. The amenities are perfect for a weekend away from it all. Feels like a chic mountain cabin. We spent most of our time out on the deck, which has a killer view. The kitchenette is super well stocked. Can’t wait to come back!

    Ali2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here one night for our anniversary night out and overall had a very nice experience. The place was clean and well decorated with a great atmosphere. It is on the smaller side but was just the right size for us. The lighting was soft and we especially liked the globe lantern next to the bed. The view from the back deck is beautiful, it feels like you are right in the middle of a redwood forest. Some snacks were provided in addition to clean towels, bedding etc - an extra touch.

    David2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great cozy space with everything you need to enjoy your stay in boulder creek, hiking the redwoods, etc. The creek-side deck is a wonderful peaceful space. The cabin is within a short walk of all the restaurants and grocery in town.

Check out my Guidebook for things to do in the area!
  • Place was better than I expected. Finding it was kind of tricky, I got lost at first but it was because I came at night. Had to take a one way dirt road in my new car and I scraped the side with a big branch on the way. Other than that, the space is exactly as advertised

    Jessika2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Cute and secluded. If you do not need a lot of space and a good price this place is for you.

    Braden2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Room was better than we thought. Just the right amount of room space for the both of us and it was very clean upon arrival. Have no complaints. Was very awesome to stay during the weekend and made everything that we needed to in Santa Cruz a small drive. Would come back again for sure.

  • Cassie’s place was wonderful! The kitchen held many amenities, Cassie was quick to respond to any questions, and the studio was comfortable and warm.

    Honey2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with gf and pup and we absolutely loved it. We did cook and while a hot plate isn’t a kitchen, it had a sink, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker so we were really all set. The price was very good and we would book again in an instant.

    Matthew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Cassie's place! It was very clean, cozy and there were a lot of extras that were unexpected. I loved all glass containers both for cooking and storing. The kitchen is compact but it has everything to cook a meal. The location is superb; in the middle of the woods, still close to shops, restaurants etc. There are a lot of great places to hike nearby. Even the neighborhood is nice for a walk. The private balcony was an added bonus. I occasionally heard the owners walking around upstairs, but that was not bothersome at al. Cassie and Scott were wonderful hosts. I stayed for a week and I will definitely return.

  • I had a nice visit to Mimsie's Place. It is located a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants of Boulder Creek and is across the street from a creek and a small a little ways down. Redwood trees outside are visible from the bedroom and den which adds to the ambience. Mimsie was responsive to all messages and keeps a tidy home. I felt the bedroom was good sized and the shared bathroom is quite spacious.

  • A challenge to get to, being buried in the middle of the woods, but the prize earned, is more satisfying than the prize simply given. Charming house, nice and quite. Excellent for a weekend getaway, shops and great local restaurants are only a 5 min drive away. The river nearby is a photographers dream. Mimsie is a lovely host, charming and charismatic.

  • A perfect place for us to crash for the night after a concert in Felton. We loved the quiet, wooded street. Amazing waterfall shower! And the hot tub was an added bonus.

  • Great place to rent. My Fiancè and I had a great time grilling and going In the hot tub! The shower was also AMAZING!

  • Quaint and lovely place to stay. The hot tub was a luxury after a long hike in the Redwoods.

  • A cozy, comfortable and clean basement type suite close to town. Nice having a full size hot tub just outside the door and laundry with supplies. Toiletries and coffee are also included. Only saw the co-host Joe once and didn't hear or see the dog at all. The place does have about a dozen steps to the entrance so be aware if you have any mobility issues.

  • I had such an enjoyable time at Arianna's Airbnb. It was clean and cozy. The space is well thought out. They have a sweet fire place that keeps the whole room nice and warm. The restroom is well designed, modern and spacious. They have coffee, paper towels, hair products, towels, etc. The Jacuzzi was also clean and the jets worked perfectly.

Experience quietude and nature in style at the intimate Alpha tiny home nestled in a sunny clearing of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In the morning, lounge on the deck sipping espresso with a good read. By day, jump into the pool or follow trails to take in the endless folds of mountains and forests. Breathe the fresh mountain air while revitalizing in the hot tub and gaze into the trees as the sun sets to reveal a carpet of stars. At night, cook in the modern kitchen and retire to super cozy king bed. One-of-a-kind escape combining high design, sustainable lifestyle and authentic nature.
The tiny home and property are showcased on two episodes of HGTV’s Tiny House Big Living, profiled by Architectural Digest magazine, and called “The Luxury Dream” by Curbed, the Alpha is grand in all the ways it is tiny. Designed by tiny house movement guru David Latimer, the Alpha’s stunning look comes from its natural cedar siding contrasting against the burnished Shou Sugi Ban - a traditional Japanese woodworking technique. A double sliding door on one side, and a roll-up glass garage door on the other opens the home up to the great outdoors. A cozy back deck surrounded by trees invites both invigorating morning stretches sipping coffee, and lazy afternoon snoozes with a good read. Inside, you’ll find a contrast of textures. The walnut hardwood floor compliments reclaimed barn wood ceilings and cabinets. Subway tiles and many windows create a timeless modern style. By using multifunctional furnitures this modest 260 sqft space maintains a open floor plan while host to a no-compromise full kitchen and full bathroom, and an 8 person dining table. The Alpha’s kitchen features a farmhouse sink opposite a induction stove top, fridge with freezer, ceramic toaster oven, espresso machine and pourover coffee setup, and even a hidden dishwasher. The bathroom is setup to pamper with a full-sized shower, and a full line of organic EO products sustainably made right here in Northern California. Kick back on the vintage leather chair and modern outdoor sofas with a good book; then retire upstairs to the king sized memory foam bed, goose down pillows and fine quality linen. The lights in the home are designed to compliment the interior; the many details of the Alpha exudes heart and craftsmanship more than any big box home could. Across the lawn take a dive in the pool or ease into in the BMW-designed hot tub. At night, gaze at a star filled sky while enjoying a revitalizing full body water massage. For more vigorous exercise follow our private trails up to the peak of the ridge and as dusk falls, marvel as the sun sets over the endless folds of mountains and forests. Or hike down to the trees for shade and tranquilness. Come savor the one of a kind experience that brings together a unique design, a sustainable lifestyle, and the embrace of nature.
This one-of-a-kind property is a stone’s throw from Boulder Creek Golf & Country Club and 10 minutes from the town of Boulder Creek with 2 organic markets and a choice of shops and eateries. Big Basin and other Redwood parks and Roaring Camp Railroads are nearby. Our guests come also to enjoy Santa Cruz and its beaches and famous boardwalk, the Mystery Spot, the cool drive along coastal highway 1 all the way down to Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, as well as Los Gatos and the Silicon Valley.
  • A beautiful home that matches the pictures. As a bigger guy, I was not sure how well I would fit in the tiny home. The home was plenty big and very comfortable. It was well stocked with everything needed for a weekend getaway.

This lovely, two bedroom cabin located on 2 acres in the woods is the ideal getaway. It comfortably fits 4-5 and includes a gas-lit stove and full bath/kitchen and library/art studio. Enjoy our goats, chickens and hiking in the mystical forest.
Includes one queen bed, one king bed and a pull out couch. Gas-lit stove is the ONLY source of heat and adds to the ambiance. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the back or front porches. Full kitchen/bath as well as laundry. No cell phone, or TV, land line is emergency only but does include full internet/wifi service. No smoking.
Private neighborhood in the Santa Cruz mountains. It's a bit rural, but very quiet and still close to many hiking and mountain bike trails as well as two wineries. Several surf breaks are within 20 minutes. Ideal for a quiet getaway or artists retreat. Perfect location for day trips: 1 hour to Monterey and Carmel, 1 1/2 hours to San Francisco.
  • Nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the cities. There was a lot of activities provided in the cabin which made our rainy weekend a win! Can't forget to mention the two goats across the way, they are very sweet and love the seed that is provided to feed them with. All in all, this is a beautiful place in the Santa Cruz mountains.

    Michael2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing, only 25 mins from Santa Cruz but beautiful wilderness feeling, goats, and the cabin itself is incredible

    Gunther2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this rental enough. It was comfortable and cozy and one of the best Airbnbs I have rented. It was the perfect hub for our many day trips and excursions to nearby parks (Big Basin, Henry Cowell, Wilder Ranch, etc.). The location was perfect for our needs (close enough to the sights we wanted to see but in a rural and peaceful area). Our host provided everything we needed to be comfortable and the property itself was gorgeous.

    Leah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place in the mountains of California... winding roads that are crazy at night! Near the beautiful Henry Cowell Redwoods Park. Nicole was super helpful in answering questions. Comfy beds, kitchen had just what we needed for making breakfast & dinner, loved meeting the goats, chickens and the doggy, Evelyn. Perfect for 5 of us for two nights. Loved being here!

    Janine2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Big Trees Cabin is a lovely relaxing space in a beautiful location. Lots of character and nice touches around the place, we loved going for walks, feeding the goats etc, the cabin has everything you need and is really comfortable. Our host gave good info and kept in touch etc so thumbs up all round from my family !

    Sally2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole was an exceptional host, and the cabin in the redwoods was absolutely lovely. We happened to stay during a weekend of intense wind storm activity during which the entire mountain lost power. The gas stove in the cabin kept us warm and cozy, and we had a great home base from which to explore the area. Beaches, hiking and other activities are just minutes away, but the cabin makes you feel like you are really away from the hubbub of daily busy-ness. The goats were a hit with my youngest daughter, and the cozy reading book thrilled my oldest. We had a fantastic stay, and will definitely be back!

    Molly2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Most charming cabin in the redwoods! Very quiet, peaceful, cozy and has everything for a comfortable stay. Would love to visit again!

Perfect for writers, musicians, retreaters, nature lovers, & sanctuary seekers—The Little Creek Cabin is nestled on 100 acres of private land that is shared with deer, owls, hawks, foxes, squirrels, salamanders, and banana slugs! The cabin is a one-bedroom studio, with a full kitchen, full bath, and a comfy double bed that overlooks Bear Creek. You will be tucked in a mature forest in a very remote area of the Santa Cruz Mountains, so be ready to unplug for some serenity and forest magic.
This gorgeous Little Creek Cabin has everything you need (except food and personal toiletries). It is filled with beautiful natural light through the skylights, vaulted ceilings, and expansive windows. It is completely off grid and powered through solar, and a wood stove for heat. This serene space is TV/WiFi free, however most guests do have cell service for texts and calls. It is truly a perfect little nest in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The Little Creek Cabin is located off of a dirt road and about a 15 minute drive to the adorable little town of Boulder Creek which has a specialty foods store (Wild Roots) a small locally owned grocery store (Johnny’s), fuel, shops, and plenty of good restaurants. Please ask Stephanie and Justin for recommendations!
  • This cabin is to die for! We came to spend our first wedding anniversary and the experience was nothing less than perfect. The views from all the windows are stunning, it’s so quiet and remote, and Stephanie & Justin were top shelf hosts! We will definitely be back 💕

    Sara2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I hesitate to write about Stephanie's place as I want to keep it hidden and all for myself!! But this is a wonderful cabin hidden deep in the redwoods. If you're looking to get off the grid in a beyond peaceful environment then this is the place! And Stephanie was extremely communicative not that I needed anything the place is wonderful!!

    Adam2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing time at the Little Creek Cabin. Stephanie and Justin are absolutely wonderful, and it is clear that they really care about their guests. When I arrived, the cabin was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, with a fire crackling inside and string lights wrapped around the deck, making for a warm and cozy welcome. I booked this space for the entire month of February, spending my days writing, hiking, and exploring the creek and campgrounds nearby. Driving to neighboring towns like Los Gatos was manageable, and I would spend afternoons at the café writing. Be sure to come back before dark if you are uncomfortable driving the roads at night. I felt secure within the property as it is gated and there is private access to the creek. Cell service was spotty but not impossible, so it was reassuring to know that I could call out at times if I needed to. Stephanie was kind to check in on me via text to make sure that I had all that I needed and felt safe. She and Justin both gave me tips on how to work the wood burning stove, and by the end of my trip, I was proud to be able to make a good fire. All in all, it is a trip I will never forget – living among the redwoods and waking up to the gentle sounds of water – the best word to describe it is MAGICAL!

    Jennifer2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy and relaxing space! My boyfriend and I loved relaxing by the fireplace and de-stressing after a long work week. We fell asleep to the sounds of the nearby creek and the crackling fire...perfection.

    Shannon2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie and Justin's have created such a special space. It's just far enough away from civilization that you feel cut of from the rest of the world; we didn't hear another person or car the entire time we were there. Also, they had every creature comfort you could need to still feel comfortable and "at home." The creek and the back deck are "must-explores" for anyone staying and be sure to kick back on the chair in front of the wood-burning stove. Such a relaxing weekend and we'll be back!

    Adam2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a magical little cabin with a ton of privacy. Yes, there is a camp up the road, but you are off on your own private road with a gate and lock and the cabin itself is totally charming, and the views from both inside the cabin and off of the deck are amazing. I used the time to completely go offline and just read, journal, meditate and explore the nearby creek. Stephanie and Justin were really warm and kind and helpful. Cell reception was spotty, as mentioned, but I could still get/send an occasional text. That being said, my whole intention was to get off of my phone and be by myself in quiet and this was just perfect! I can not say enough wonderful things about my stay.

    Krista2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is the perfect winter paradise. So cozy! Stephanie and Justin really created a warm and welcoming cocoon with a lot of thoughtful touches. They were very easy to communicate with. And the place was very clean. I highly recommend this gateway.

    Coline2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cozy cabin. As others have stated, it’s perfect for a getaway from technology as well as the busy city life. We enjoyed the Christmas lights by the bed as well as out on the deck. The candles and incense were a great touch and we were impressed with how well the wood stove warmed up the place. We really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing while listening to the sound of the creek! We even got to hear a couple owls nearby on our second night there :)

Super private, peaceful and quiet. This is a great place for the traveler who is excited about exploring the beauty of the mountains and coast of Santa Cruz. Completely private In-law unit with the extras needed to make it cozy. Snuggled between Scotts Valley, Felton, and Santa Cruz it's close to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, 1440 Multiversity, and Mount Hermon Conference Center. Less than an hour from Levi Stadium, Avaya Stadium and the Silicon Valley. Santa Cruz hosted rental #181333.
Your cozy, airy room comes with a queen-sized bed, private bath with shower, a "kitchenette" with a table for two, small refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and French press coffee maker (instructions for the French press are included in the house manual). You'll also find supplies for your morning coffee or tea, fruit and some food items just right for a light breakfast before you start your day. Be sure to browse the pictures! They show so much about the room in a way words can't.
Our neighborhood feels rural but you're only about a mile from grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants and a movie theater. Scotts Valley is home to 8 coffee houses. Our favorite, Coffee Cat, is just over a mile away. They roast their coffee on site and it's their coffee you'll find in the refrigerator. You're also less than 1/4 a mile away from the hiking trails of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. If hiking is your passion you found the right place to stay! Several former guests have left annotated maps indicating their favorite trails. Feel free to borrow them for your hiking pleasure.
  • A beautiful, nice and private space. Quiet and cozy with many nice touches. Can't go wrong with this one.

  • It was PERFECT for us, a mini getaway from it all!!! Stylish, cute & cozy just as described! Will defiantly be back again. If I could give this Air BnB more than 5 stars I would! Our host was so kind and demonstrated excellent communication! So happy we chose this spot! :-)

    Josephine2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • As Kevin Malone says “why waste time say lot word, when few do trick.” Judith’s Snug and Cozy between the Skyline and the Sea is quite simply the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in. It exceeding our expectations in every way: amenities, personal touches, local recommendations, everything! We are looking forward to staying here again during our next visit (if someone else hasn’t reserved it)!

    Daniel2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 would recommend this place!!! Could not say enough about the quality of this stay. Better than 5 stars because of Judith’s outstanding care, thoughtfulness, and quick communication—also the unit is GREAT! Lots of local tips and perfect location for hiking in the Redwood state park. Will definitely be telling family and friends to stay here!

    Kelly2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little studio very close to beautiful Santa Cruz. Judith was exceptionally sweet for setting up her coal grill for us, all we had to do was light a single match. The room had everything we needed like a flash light for a night walk and extra towels for the pool :) Would definitely stay here again!

    Yael2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful! Judith was there to greet us and made us feel comfortable right away. Exceptionally clean, convenient, cozy, and just adorable. She thought of everything and it was just the perfect amount of space for the two of us. Perfect stay in a lovely neighborhood just between Santa Cruz and the redwoods.

    Chelsea2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I was there during a weekend for a wedding in the area. I was too busy to take advantage of the pool in the backyard. This was a great place to get away and relax during this quick trip. I was also too busy to take advantage of the suggested activities listed in an activity binder.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far one of the best Airbnb my boyfriend and I have ever stayed at. Judith thought of everything you could ever need in the room, provided excellent recommendations for everything in the area, and the bed is honestly a giant pillow. It is only about a 15 minute drive to Santa Cruz -- highly worth it!

Check out what our previous guests have had to say! "This is by far the best Airbnb experience we have ever had! I don’t even know where to begin with expressing how much we enjoyed our stay here...We have very high standards and travel and work a lot at luxury five star resorts around the world, and this place exceeded my high expectations and standards, trust me this is not easy to do with me." (Trinette + Chris, January 2019) "The Escher Tiny House is the rare experience that lived up to expectations. The house is lovely and includes every comfort. The king sized bed was the most blissful sleep I’ve had in a while." (Irvin, July 2018) "We LOVED our stay at the Escher tiny house. Trying to go to vacation with two little kids (4 and 1) is often more stressful than it’s worth, but in this case, there was something about the tiny house, the yurt, and how integrated the house is with nature that allowed us (the grownups) to relax and the kids to have a ton of fun." (Jennifer, May 2018) "This is paradise. If peace was a place it would be here, nestled into the top of a mountain with the bright stars lighting your way at night and the beautiful forest greeting you in the morning." (Miguel, January 2019) "The personal touches, the serenity, the huge king bed, the tranquil tent, the beautiful deck, the amazingggg shower, hiking trails, the stars, and so on and so on. I could honestly write pages and pages about the magic of this place." (Eliza, April 2019) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, okay, we're going to blush, but just in case you're not convinced and you're looking for the hard facts — details, please! — here are some of the extraordinary amenities you'll find inside the Escher home: — 350 sq. ft. Western Red Cedar deck complete with Primo ceramic grill, cushy Article daybed and lounge furnishings, as well as an additional outdoor stone patio and eight-person dining table — Professional-style kitchen with carbon-steel pans, a 36" LP Wolf range, full-size fridge and freezer, mini steam-convection oven, Fischer & Paykel dishwasher drawer, a full set of top-quality cooking tool, and super sharp chef’s knives — Complementary coffee via an Illy espresso-maker and steamer — King-size master bedroom with luxury bedding and mattress, sliding shoji-paper doors for added privacy, and a dreamy giant picture window. Perfect for stargazing in bed. — Twin-size guestroom in the loft with a play space, books, toys, and a baby gate for extra safety. The ladder up is outrageously stable. Our own toddler ran up and down it for years :-) — Luxurious bathroom with a steamy, spa-style shower and walk-in closet — Huge Moroccan-style Belle tent with a full-size mattress, lights and electrical plugs, and plenty of good vibes — Nearby town of Boulder Creek (and Felton) with an excellent organic grocery store (Wild Roots) and some local restaurants/cafes What else can be said? There's simply no other place like the Escher tiny home. You'll leave all your stressors behind, find a place of peace and perspective, and open yourself to new ideas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional notes about the home, safety, and accessibility: - The home features an eco-friendly, waterless toilet. This provides the same comfort as a regular flush toilet, but because of this and the overall high quality of the house, we provide a complimentary cleaning every seven days for any bookings longer than a week. - The home is positioned directly on a ridge. This is perfect for yoga on the deck or enjoying the glorious sunsets but may require extra attention for very young children. That said, we have had many, many children and toddlers visit (and live on) the property without the slightest incident. Generally, children are our happiest guests of all. - Some areas of the home require climbing. The ladder to the loft is solid wood and very secure, so it's also quite heavy. Unfortunately, if you have any restrictions to your movement this may not be the best house for your needs. - The tiny home shares 20 acres with two other homes. The Escher home is completely private with it's own road and 1/2 acre lot, but there is line-of-sight in some areas. If you're uncertain about this, definitely check out the reviews from our previous guests. You will have lots of privacy :-) - The Escher home may be booked together with the other homes on the property. Please contact Amnon directly if you're interested in this option!
The property boasts close proximity to Big Basin State Park, and sits just 8 minutes from the center of Boulder Creek, where guests can find an organic market, shops, and eateries. San Francisco or Santa Cruz beach make perfect day trips, and there is even a classic steam train that goes direct to the Boardwalk. For a nearby splash, check out the many swimming holes along the San Lorenzo river.
  • This is a little paradise. We had such a wonderful time. The exceptional design and attention to details made us feel right at home. The nature around is breathtaking: we spent hours soaking in, admiring the beauty around us. We couldn't get enough of it. The hosts' story is also truly Inspring, you find snippets of it all around the tiny. We highly recommend staying there if you have a chance! We'd love to come back :)

  • This place was amazing! Love every part of it. It was the perfect getaway!

    Lisa2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve stayed in both of Amnon’s tiny homes now and had an equally great time in each. It’s a beautifully designed house and very close to hikes and vineyards.

    Clare2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had an amazing time. We actually thought the tiny home looked better in person. We had a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old, which meant we had to be more careful and think about how to work out the sleeping arrangements, but our kids adapted to the surroundings very well.

    Luiz2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The property is gorgeous. Waking up to that view every day in absolute quiet was incredible. The tiny house itself is well appointed and organized. It’s surprising how many amenities they can offer in such a small space and it doesn’t feel crowded. This is a hidden gem and we highly recommend on all accounts!

  • If you’re looking for a perfect escape close to the city but a world away this is the place for you.

    Francisco2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Easily the best Airbnb stay we've ever had. The tiny home looks exactly like the photos – it's cozy and perfect for a couple's getaway. The kitchen is well-equipped with high-end appliances and cookware. We loved the ceramic grill and had a wonderful barbecue under the stars after exploring nearby Big Basin State Park.

    Justin2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny homes have been somewhat of an obsession for us in recent months, and this one takes the cake. It’s easy to see how much thought and care was put into each detail of this charming little home. It was tidy and clean, and everything you wish for in a place to stay. We did not want to leave and will definitely be coming back.

I am Dr. Sandra Dreisbach the owner of this unit. I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Ethics. Ohana Forest is my labor of love showcasing Santa Cruz ethical living. I work with Voyajoy to manage my reservations. Ohana Forest Studio is surrounded by redwoods yet a short walk to downtown. Below the main house, it is excellent for 1-2 guests who desire a cozy, private, modern forest retreat with the convenience of both basic home and town amenities. Experience the Santa Cruz Area like a local.
Walk in after a day’s work or hike. Make a pot of coffee from freshly ground local organic coffee beans in the ready to cook full kitchen. Relax at the dining table with forest views. Sit by the gas fireplace with a glass of wine you’ve discovered at a local winery at the foot of the queen bed or simply do a bit of work on the pull up desk surface at the coffee table while watching AppleTV on the couch with full-size bed. - Washer/Dryer - Hot tub - Fire pit for smores - Swings and play set for kids - Patio dining table
  • There are so many great things about this place! It's such a cute and cozy spot, the kitchen has so many things available, and the hot tub is so relaxing. And Sandra was super helpful and responsive. We came here to be close to Boulder Creek and Big Basin, and it's a perfect spot for that (for a couple at least). It's a 2-3 minute walk to downtown Boulder Creek, and the main Big Basin entrance is literally down the road. We'll definitely be back!

    Kris2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • If you are interested in Boulder Creek or Big Basin the location is perfect, the space is nicely set-up and comfortable. You will hear some noise from upstairs and might find things you’d do differently, like anything, but the space is clean, well maintained and worked well for my girlfriend and I. The location is great, a few minutes walk to food and services in Boulder Creek, a short drive to several redwood parks, Santa Cruz, San Jose, etc.

  • Sandra's place for cozy and beautiful, so many thoughtful touches. Sandra was an accomodating host.

    Karishma2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra's place is one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed at! The place was spotless and so well organized, with a full kitchen stocked with cooking supplies and a great entertainment system. Sandra left thoughtful touches for our weekend - local wine and beer and snack goodies, and lots of recommendations. I would book this place again in a heartbeat!

  • Beautiful accomidations with everything you need and more. Great place to stay and spend time with those spectacular trees.

    Merry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • In short, above and beyond. The place is perfect for two, well-located, clean, has a well-equipped kitchen and amenities. The host (Sandra) has a great communication and is very hospitable, she puts a thought into every detail to make sure the trip is pleasant and memorable.

Mount Hermon: In 1841, California's first water-powered sawmill was built at the junction of Bean Creek and Zayante Creek by Peter Lassen, Isaac Graham, J. Majors, and F. Hoeger. Mount Hermon, known as "Tuxedo Junction" prior to 1906, was a stop on the South Coast Pacific Railroad from Alameda to Santa Cruz.[3] Hotel Tuxedo was on the property; the hotel was purchased and renamed the Zayante Inn on April 14, 1906, by a group which later became the Mount Hermon Association, Inc. Five ladies of the group were entrusted with the selection of a new name for the area, and they chose that of the peak in the Holy Land.[4] The land was to be used as a Christian retreat center, whose dedication day, known as "The Great Day", was July 22, 1906; the event was held at the Zayante Inn with 1400 people in attendance. Speaking at the dedication was Dr. Reuben A. Torrey, President of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. The Zayante Inn and surrounding cottages were destroyed by fire on April 18, 1921. At the site, the Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, with three separate facilities, operates on much of the original property. There are also several hundred privately owned homes, the Mount Hermon post office, and a bookstore.

  • We had a quite getaway that we enjoyed at Boulder Creek. The unit is located very close to downtown. Good size for a family with one kid. It's very comfortable, extra blankets, TV, kitchen to cook your quick meal, shower with extra towels. Everything was there to enjoy the quite weekend. The host is very responsive and friendly. Got to pet 2 cute dogs. Do not unplug a wire next to a right side of a bed as it connects the TV :).

  • Great studio in back of ther main house and not to far from town. Laundry was great to have and kitchen is well equipped for a small place. Small heaters warm the place up pretty well and they will be adding a ceiling fan and articulating TV mount shortly.

  • Emily's place is really cute and nice. The location is very quiet but very convenient to the village and access to the state parks in the area. The place was very clean and check in was very easy. Great place and thanks Emily!

  • A lovely, well-apportioned, generously outfitted, totally separate, quiet place in the redwoods. Heavenly beds and comforters, the nicest shower I've ever encountered, thoughtful touches throughout. We appreciated the privacy, the private entrance and side yard, and the gracious hosts. My son's friendly old dog enjoyed her stay as well. And the town has a sweet friendly old town atmosphere - a great place in every way, not far away from Santa Cruz and the redwood parks and beeches of the area. Worth a return, or two, or more...

  • Ellen’s place is very accurate to her pictures. Her place is very cute. Any questions/concerned I had were addressed in a timely manner. The hot tub worked well and it was nice cooking in her little spot. The only thing that was kind of difficult was figuring out the TV for a movie. Other than that it was overall a good time. Would consider coming back at a different date.

A 15 min drive to Downtown Los Gatos, and 10 mins to Highway 17.

  • We couldn’t have been more satisfied. Alison was an excellent host, and the added touches were very much appreciated. We plan to visit again soon and explore the area more thoroughly.

    Alexander2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Five stars would be an understatement. Alison has created a welcoming, cozy, and lovely space. The little home has such history to it and was sparkling clean. Everything we needed was there in addition to lovely added touches like fresh bread and goat cheese. We will be back again!!!!

    Doireann2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was the perfect spot for my hiking excursions. It’s in the middle of an area near many county and state parks. Alison has put a lot of little touches into making ones stay cozy and relaxing. When I arrived music was playing, the fridge was stocked with fresh eggs, cheese, ice cream and she also provided fresh bread, jam, and honey. In a bowl above the sink there was fresh fruit. Make sure to have a good look around because Alison has made good use of the space and there are useful items that may be out of sight. About two days into my stay I realized the flowers in the cabin were real and freshly cut from her garden. Next to the sink were garlic bulbs hanging from their stalks - I didn’t even notice that they weren’t just decor until my second day. I loved saying good morning to the chickens and the quail on my way out and making a fire at the end of the day. I look forward to staying there again on my next visit.

    Edythe2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a weekend in Alisons place and loved it! It’s a small paradise, very kind hosts with amazing hospitality (fresh eggs for example:) and an area with much natural beauty to discover! We hope to come again very soon! Best regards from Switzerland!

  • Alison’s cabin was exceedingly cozy and pleasant. It is easily accessible yet quiet, with many thoughtful touches. Alison easily and thoughtfully accommodated our needs for scent-free detergent and products, which made a big difference to my partner who is allergic. The place is a quick drive to both Henry Cowell and Big Basin State parks for those who want to hike. Great natural food store just around the corner. Can’t wait to come back here!

    Stefanie2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi is the best! She was so hospitable and made us and our dog feel so welcomed - she even had treats and bowls for him! The area is beautiful and there is so much to see and explore if you like the outdoors. The view from the patio is gorgeous and it is very close to many good hikes and wineries. We spent 2 nights, but definitely would have planned for more if we could have.

    Vickie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi went to a lot of trouble to create this space for us travelers and tourists and I hope she feels appreciated, because what we get is a place that is perfect for visiting The Redwoods. Cyndi’s place is well off any noisy highway but only a few miles from Big Basin State Park. There are magnificent redwood trees to be seen in Cyndi’s yard and neighborhood, and just down the road in the park are old growth giants and fairy circles. We went to Huckleberry campground and Shadowbrook Trail in the middle of January. It’s a little cold, but there was nobody else around. Magnificent.

    Clair And Richard2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi's place really is secluded, it's quiet and out of the way. We were looking for a place to stop with our dog so it was perfect. Cyndi is welcoming and has added some thoughtful touches like dog treats and food bowls, as well as people treats. The space is clean and functional. It was quiet at night, and restful.

    Nancy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious and private. The place was a little tricky to find, so Cyndi's instructions were super helpful. Cyndi was a great host, very helpful and friendly. As a bonus, the cat is super cute!

    Nusrat2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndi is very informative, thoughful and helpful. The Airbnb stay was well equipped and well located for the activities we had planned. We would enjoy staying there again.

  • We were unable to make it to Patricia’s place, but she was very nice and understanding. Seems like she’s a lovely lady and it’s a lovely place! Sad we didn’t get to go

    Daisy2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Nice hot tub and has a sauna! Quiet and quaint area!

    Brenda2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pat's place was a wonderful spot for a few days of respite and peace with beautiful views, and she was a kind host with lots of good tips about the area. I look forward to visiting again!

    David2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • There’s definitely a bit of Storybook to Patricia’s place. From the string of lights guiding you down the driveway to the persistent touches of handmade quality. The property is remote without being too far and makes the most of mountain sunrises.

    Travis2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views were absolutely GORGEOUS, The hot tub and Sauna were extremely relaxing. Patricia was so sweet. Everything was perfect!

    Taylor2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • One of my best experiences with Airbnb. Such a cozy place. Much recommended.

    Michal2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! The setting is beautiful and quiet, far away from any highway sounds. It was a really nice place touchdown after hiking in the Big Basin area or Santa Cruz. And the hot tub was a treat! Ws also got to use the sauna because Patricia built a fire for us( we didn't know how). It felt amaaaazing after feeling chilled from the weather. Pat was such a great host. She made us feel like this was our home away from home. She had some great recommendations on local places to eat , including a place not too far away called Nonno's , where they make delish pizza. It does take about at least 15- 20 mins to get to any bigger town with the windy mountain roads , but we knew that going into it. And, that makes this place special. I would highly reccomend it.

    Kinsey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s place was even better than the pictures. She is a wonderful person who made us feel right at home, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The sauna was amazing and the hot tub under the stars was a magical experience. Highly recommended!

Private entrance with a own bathroom & mini-kitchen Hang out in the cozy room, in the private glen or go explore Henry Cowell Redwoods state park, Felton restaurants & tourist train. 20 min drive to ocean & Santa Cruz. close to Fall Creek State Park and Big Basin State Park. A good hub for Monterey, Carmel, Point Lobos and Big Sur. Close enough to San Francisco to make it a day trip.
Cozy studio with a super comfy bed, private bathroom, sitting area and kitchenette with table and two nice chairs. TV (for DVDs with a selection of movies and Netflix && Hulu if you have an account), Microwave, hot plate, sauce pan and fry pan, toaster, coffeemaker, little frig. and a tea pot, dishes etc. Towels and shampoo too. Very quiet and very private apartment. It's attached to the main house but on a separate level and feels like a cabin. It faces the forest and the main house faces the street. Listen to the creek gurgle instead of traffic noise, with fresh air from the forest and a view of a forest glade. County of Santa Cruz registration certificate #CO00185
Quite mountain neighborhood but close to Hwy 9 and the little town of Felton. Felton has a couple of great restaurants and some good take out places plus the best natural foods market. Don Quixotes music hall has a different musical act every night. Walk to Monte's Log Cabin - a classsic dive bar. Walking distance to Henry Cowell Redwoods state park (with a great short hike to see the giant trees) and Roaring Camp tourist train (take a train to the beach boardwalk). Short drive to Fall Creek park (great hiking) and only 15-20 minutes from eclectic downtown Santa Cruz and the beautiful beach, wharf and boardwalk.
  • This is a cozy little place in the mountains; perfect for a weekend getaway. You're close to Felton - a quick drive, or a decent walk. You can walk straight into a great state park, and enjoy a loop among old redwood trees. The room had a number of nice, smaller touches, such as a few snacks, and some interesting books to check out.

  • Freddie met us when we arrived and was very friendly. He had many suggestions for hikes and local places to eat. The accommodations were what we needed for our drive up the coast.

    Alexandra2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great private getaway! Hosts were exceptional, and the space was perfect. The bed was super comfortable, and the redwoods were gorgeous!

  • Nice, small, quiet space in the redwoods. Comfortable bed. Very clean. Mateo provided brochures for many of the parks and other nearby activities that were very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

    Karen2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, quiet, comfortable with Redwoods right outside doorway. Easy to make breakfast.

    Pat2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mateos place was so nice. The hot tub was amazing. The backyard is so pretty with the view of the creek. It’s such a beautiful relaxing getaway. My boyfriend and I had the most romantic valentines getaway.

    Hannah2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Mateo’s place is very special - so quiet and peaceful, tucked into the most beautiful grove of redwoods. It is clear that a lot of thought has gone into this place. The bed and bedding were the most relaxing and comfortable ever; I slept better than I have in months. And I especially appreciated the collections of essays and short stories, which were the perfect reading material for a cozy evening after a long day of traveling The location is also wonderful, just up the hill from the state park with wonderful hikes in the redwoods. It was hard to leave and we would love to return some day.

  • Charming home nestled in the beautiful redwoods! Would definitely recommend staying here and arriving before dark! Reuben’s driving and check-in instructions were very helpful. We used waze to find the place and it worked perfect.

  • Amazing house with amazing location. Right in the middle of Redwood trees. We loved our stay. Will come back again!

  • Wonderful spot with such quiet lovely surrounding!

    Amy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • It’s incredible how rejuvenating an overnight escape into the cradle of nature can be. Reuben is a spectacular host; communication was way beyond responsive, and the property was spotless - yet welcoming and comfortable, and very private. The exterior is Instagram worthy redwoods rustic, while the living area is modern, well-appointed and tasteful. Tranquil and verdant views from every window, Marie Kondo-worthy minimalism that make all the little details pop. Yes, you need to navigate some mountain roads. The privacy and sense of remoteness are well worth the bumpy roads - that’s what you’re looking for in a mountain retreat, right? :) just follow Reuben’s directions scrupulously!

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Reuben's place was a perfect combination of beautiful natural surroundings and homey amenities inside. We appreciated the full kitchen facilities that allow you to stay in and cook, although if you want to go out it's not too far from the city of santa cruz or any number of places! We enjoyed driving all around the area and discovering new parks and trails. The host also provided a binder showing lots of local places to visit. Check in & checkout were made very easy, and the property is super pretty! Inside the house is a perfect size- not cramped at all. Both bedrooms had plenty of blankets and pillows. We were a little worried that any mountain house we chose would be cold in February, but the heater did a great job of keeping the place comfy at night. The house had some fun elements like a mystery hidden behind a picture frame (I won't spoil what it is!) and very unique bathroom decor. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be surrounded by tall beautiful trees and close to many great outdoor places to explore, and have the comforts of home to come back to after. I only wish we had planned a longer stay! Thank you to our gracious hosts!!

  • Such a beautiful place and area. We loved our stay here !

    Jessica2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The arrival at Reuben's is made easier thanks to the precious information he sent us. Reuben is a really friendly, discreet and helpful host who lives nearby. Indeed the place surprises because it is nestled in a forest which access is by a small road that it is strongly recommended to take by day! Arrival on site, guaranteed enchantment. The cabin is spacious, clean, well appointed and nothing is missing inside. The upstairs bedrooms are very comfortable with excellent bedding. On the relaxation side, the living room overlooks a garden equipped with a large table and a super BBQ, a washing machine and a dryer. The view and the calm are impressive! It is the most atypical and the most fantastic site that I made for years ... If you are in the sector it is absolutely essential! Thanks again Reuben, and see you soon!

  • The place really is beautiful. Two floors with balconies looking into the woods and a lovely back patio area with bbq. Fairly precarious driving/parking so I would recommend you be a confident driver.

A private, charming studio nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains and decorated with vintage furniture from the 60's. Minutes to all the wonderful hiking trails hidden in the redwoods and a short drive to the beach! There's a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, sink, dishes/silverware, but there isn't an oven/stove. Two adults will fit, with a child, but there's only one queen bed. A pack 'n play or twin air mattress would limit walking space, but you're welcome to bring one.
Our house is located on a private road in a quiet neighborhood minutes away from downtown Ben Lomond, Henry Cowell Redwood Forest, Roaring Camp Railroads, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and all the other wonderful things to do in Santa Cruz!
The neighborhood is quiet and private. Because the road in front of the house is private property it gets very little traffic. You can sit on the bench swing all day without being disturbed. It's a great place to drink your morning coffee or tea :)
  • We enjoyed our two night stay at Justin’s place. The location is great and worked well for exploring Big Basin and evenings in Santa Cruz. The space is adorable and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return on our next trip to the area!

  • Great place to stay! The hosts went above and beyond! There was an PG&E power outage and host kept us updated. Also, gave us candles, flashlights, and generator hook up. We will be returning!

  • Really enjoyed sitting outside on the swing and viewing the stars at night. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing place. The drive there was full of amazing views and there are several things to do around the area. My Fiancé and I chose this place because it was close to the Roaring Camp Railroads and because we wanted to explore Santa Cruz. Would definitely stay here again.

Nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains just 4 miles from the beach, 5 miles to Davenport and 9 miles from Santa Cruz (12 minutes by car) sits a magical Yurt situated in a beautiful private fenced half acre garden in Bonny Doon. Experience all that Santa Cruz has to offer then get away from the noise, traffic and bustle of the city and relax in this peaceful place.
The yurt is 450 sq.ft. of living space with multiple glass windows, wood floors and exotic Moroccan rugs. There is a sink with hot and cold water inside. This is a heated, insulated luxury accommodation . Do not mistake this for a “camping” situation. The newly constructed modern bathroom is detached but only 2 steps from the front door. Amenities include a small refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster oven, coffee maker, plates, cutlery, cups glasses, etc. A continental breakfast is available by arrangement. Snacks, teas and coffee are included. There is a small patio where you can relax and hang outside and a gas barbecue available to cook on if you wish.
2 minutes away is the Bonny Doon ecological reserve. Over 1000 acres of hiking trails including the famous “Moon rocks” (see photos). Half a mile down the road visit Beauregard vineyard and tasting room 🍷. A little further is Davenport, a scenic little town with restaurants and beaches. Also nearby, experience giant redwoods in Henry Cowell State Park, Big Basin State Park and Fall creek. Visit Wilder ranch. See the elephant seals at Año Nuevo then enjoy numerous quality Westside restaurants of every description.
  • We had a great stay! We loved the yurt and the location is great for being just outside of Santa Cruz. We would definitely stay here again!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's place was a lovely yurt and a great space. I wouldn't say little because it is quite large. It was immaculately clean, very quiet, great place to hang out and not too far from Felton, a town which has anything you might need. One note, if you're tall, do watch your head! Even with a reminder of several bonks, my husband and I still bounced our heads a couple more times before we got it through our thick skulls that the door was not average size! Despite a few light bumps, we'd totally stay again!

  • A lovely space set in a beautiful garden. You feel like you are away from the busy world in a restful romantic setting. I will come back.

    Kenza2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was the consummate host, accessible and helpful. This was my first time staying in a yurt and it was fabulously cosy, filled with an amazing collection of rugs and wall hangings from Morocco and elsewhere. A perfect space for relaxing, reading and yoga. I think it is even nicer than the pictures show. The bed was comfortable with a view out to a lovely garden. Can't wait to come back in the summer when all will be in bloom and we can stargaze through the dome roof.

    Jenny2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in lovely garden under the towering Redwoods Peters yurt provides a perfect balance of a restful escape with spacious, well-appointed accommodations. We loved being so close to numerous beautiful and quiet trails and within a 15 minute drive of Santa Cruz. The rain storm one evening combined with the ultra-comfortable bed lulled us into a deeper sleep than either of us has had in years. Already looking forward to a return visit!

    Susan2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a totally enjoyable 2 days in the yurt. It was clean, roomy and comfortable and met all of our expectations. Peter, the host was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Santa Cruz.
