This traditional flat in a city centre townhouse was originally built in 1800, but has been updated for modern day living, whilst still keeping a traditional feel. It has been newly renovated. In easy walking distance to Castle and Old Jail (5 minutes) It is a lovely place to stay right in the city centre with everything to settle in and cook at home, or walk out the front door and be in a variety of shops, bars and restaurants in minutes. It is clean and comfortable.
Lounge room and kitchen with cooker and a good selection of cooking utensils, the bedroom has a Kingsize bed. The bathroom has a good strong shower.
  • This little flat is ideal for a couple who want to explore Stirling. Large comfy bedroom, a comfortable living area with good dining table for 2. The kitchen had all the essentials and teabags. There was soap, shampoo and shower gels in the bathroom and the shower nice and hot. Wi-Fi worked well and the temperature controls very easy to use (It was chilly outside but the flat nice and warm!). Parking available too. Would definitely recommend and stay again next time I'm in Stirling.

    Li2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Alexia’s flat is amazing. Well located, easy to get to main attractions (Castle, Holy Rude, etc), to go out on “supply runs” (Tesco, Sainsbury, multiple shops, all within 5 mins walk) and other stuff (pubs, shops). Would recommend to anyone

My place is close to the city centre. You’ll love my place because of the location, near Stirling Castle. My place is good for solo adventurers, and business travellers.
My house was built in the 1800's and is situated on the hill leading to Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument is nearby, 20 minute walk. Train station 10 minute walk. Shops 5 minute walk.
We live in the oldest part of the city being situated on the hill of the castle and the oldest ale house in Stirling 1733 is also on our street.
  • Pretty room, TV, table, cereals, tea 'n coffee

    Billy2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The property is in a very good location for exploring the area. I really like it!

    Jana2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay for my last night in Scotland. So much to see in Stirling. Jenny had breakfast supplies which was wonderful since I had to leave extremely early for my flight. I would recommend her flat.

    Stephanie2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect room with everything you need. She commuicates very well and is a perfect host. Highly recommend her place

    Urmila2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny’s place is a must when staying in Sterling. Close to the Castle & all shops. The room was spacious and clean with everything you need. Fantastic location & highly recommended.

    Michelle2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • I only spent one night here and left early the next day, so I didn't get see much of Jenny. But she was very kind and helpful, volunteering helpful info about getting a train to Edinburgh. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a mini fridge and hot water pot. Jenny also thoughtfully provided some fruit, milk, and breakfast cereals. Be aware, there are two dogs who are very sweet, but one is quite ... energetic? Anyway, there was a lot of yipping and running around outside my door late at night. I am a sound sleeper so this did not bother me, but if you are not, it is something to be aware of. But overall, would recommend!

    Calla2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny is a fantastic lady her house is in a great location in Stirling. Walking distance to trains/buses all the shops. Jenny’s house is very clean & tidy the room is private. Jenny has great knowledge of the area I had a excellent stay with Jenny.

Compact but quiet double room (using futon and air mattress combined) in top floor apartment with great views over Stirling. Ample private free parking. 10 minutes from train and bus station. Host is resident and share kitchen and lounge area. Note this is 3rd floor apartment with no elevator.
I'm an easy going host with a nice flat to share with considerate visitors. I'm fairly environmentally-minded. Stirling is a great small university city with easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Historic Stirling Castle and old town within 5 minutes walk. One or two very nice cafes nearby who do home cooking and the usual range of diverse food outlets with home delivery available. Transport and shopping centre within 10 minutes. Bus stop nearby for University and Wallace Monument. Supermarket and restaurants within 5-10 minutes too. 40 minutes by train to Edinburgh and 30-40 minutes to Glasgow.
  • Grant is a great host, always available for useful tips for Stirling. Location is fantastic as it is 5 minutes from the centre of Stirling. The bedroom is comfortable and functional. A great place to stay if you are visiting Stirling or the University of Stirling.

The Stables is set in the grounds of Corshill Cottage which has extensive garden grounds. It has outdoor seating and car parking. The apartment is ideal open plan living for couples or young families. The bedroom area is in a galleried area (open on one side) above the open plan living area. A mile from Thornhill and only 10 minutes drive to either Stirling or Callander. A car is recommended.
  • Lovely cosy apartment with great kitchen, easy parking, close to Stirling and the Trossachs walks and Lochs. Nice bath to use if feeling like a soak (with hand-held shower over the bath only). Stairs to bedroom in loft, with bathroom/toilet downstairs, so not good for some people. Some traffic noise in the bedrooom, but not too bad. Carolyn attended quickly to a small problem that arose with the apartment. Generally a good place to stay.

    Carmel2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay, the house was very clean and i loved the bathtub :)

    Anne2019-09-10T00:00:00Z

    Victorine2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Simple but perfectly equipped, the kitchen is small but we have not missed anything. Great location for walks in the Trossachs Park or a castle visit to Stirling on rainy days.

    Caroline2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, warm place close to great walks in the national park. Great place to stay and relax for a few days

    Andrea2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet and ideal for a relaxing weekend. The cottage looks much better than it does in the photos and it also has a nice garden at the back. A bit tricky to get the property at first as you focus on the road but once you’ve spot it , you can’t miss it the second time. I totally recommend the place for a quiet and relaxing getaway!

  • Cozy holiday home in an ideal location to display the area of Loch Lommond and the Trossachs and cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling. Carolyn is a perfect hostess.

A beautiful private wing in a charming old Schoolhouse built in 1857. Bright and airy apartment surrounded by Farmland, easily accessible from the main road. We are minutes from Blairdrummond Safari Park, and Doune Castle - film set for Outlander. Our central location on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, makes this an ideal resting place to adventure from. Given the governments recent announcement I will be offering a dining in service free of charge in March and April
Aside from offering lots of natural light and peace and quiet, the apartment also offers exclusive use of the breakfast room ( with a breakfast bar) bathroom, bedroom, and outside eating area. There is an electric shower, king size bed, coffee/tea making facilities and reasonable size fridge. We do not have a kitchen, however there is a reasonably sized fridge and we can easily pop a microwave in for you.
We are in a very quiet area surrounded by farmland. We are a 45 minute drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and a 15 minute drive to Callander. We have lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around, and within walking distance of the Smiddy Farm shop and cafe.
  • This was our 4th stay because we love it so much! It's in a lovely peaceful location with sweeping views of fields and trees. It is perfectly location to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossochs as well as Stirling and Callander. As always it was very clean and comfortable

  • This place is a gem! Cozy, comfortable, beautiful surroundings and a great host. If Cat offers to cook, say yes!! Her meal was phenomenal.

    Elise2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Catriona's place is exactly as described, really cute and perfect for a relaxing night or few away from day-to-day life. Catriona was really responsive and provides lots of helpful info about the local area. We stayed during February so the apartment was quite cold - not a problem just make sure to pack a big jumper!

    Rebecca2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • A charming place to stay, with lovely touches (banana bread) to make it extra welcoming. Well positioned for walks around Loch Lomond (we did Ben A'an - 30mins away) and for dinner in Dunblane or Bridge of Allan. Check in was very easy and Cat was great at responding to queries. Would highly recommend.

The place is decorated with a really homely feel and we had a cosy night in away from the wind and rain with the wood burner going. Great feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but still close to lots of amenities in nearby towns.

  • Housing irreproachable, both by its space, as its equipment. The most striking is the flawless state of housing from a cleanliness point of view! Andy & Trudi have prepared a book that allows to have a lot of info (nearby restaurants, activities, etc.) which allowed us to go for dinner on foot in a very good restaurant. A 3 rooms on the floor of the house that lacks nothing, it was perfect!

**COVID-19 UPDATE: I’m closing my Airbnb room for the foreseeable (currently rest of March & April 2020). I’ll keep this under constant review so may re-open dates or extend the closure as necessary. Please feel free to enquire during this time, for both closed and future dates. Thanks for understanding my prioritising of my family and community.** Writer, youngster and two friendly cats-in-residence welcome you to our lovely Victorian apartment in pretty Bridge of Allan, near Stirling.
Welcome to our large and comfortable apartment in former spa town, Bridge of Allan. We are on the first floor of an impressive Victorian sandstone villa. Access is to the right of the building up some stairs, so unfortunately disabled access may be limited. There is use of a driveway if needed. Breakfast is served in our large sitting/dining room, please see below for details. No extra charge for under 16s, book for one and let me know in your message.
Bridge of Allan is a small and pretty town on the outskirts of Stirling city centre and just next to Stirling University. It's home to a few boutique shops, restaurants, take aways and cafes and is set against a pretty backdrop including nearby Dumyat and Wallace Monument (both within walking distance from our home). Walkers will enjoy the nearby woodland, hill (Dumyat) and beautiful university campus. Please ask for tips and routes. Stirling is home to a historic castle with wonderful panoramic views and a pretty old town, as well as shopping mall with the usual high street suspects and a restaurant and nightlife scene befitting its size. We're also in a great position for exploring other parts of Scotland, with easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh and all they have to offer, and to the more rural north: Stirling is often referred to as 'the gateway to the highlands'.

  • A real pleasure! Kazz has a lovely, cosy home and we had a comfortable stay. Her communication was excellent throughout and she took the time to make us feel really welcome. Beau the greyhound is also a lovely old boy and very good natured. Although Kazz wasn't able to meet us immediately when we arrived, the check-in information she provided was very clear and easy to follow so we had no trouble letting ourselves in. The house itself is really well situated in Dunblane, right next to the Cathedral. It was lovely to wake up to this view! The guest areas are also nicely laid out within the house, and as private as you want them to be basically - although they connect to shared spaces, Kazz was respectful of our space but also encouraged us to make ourselves at home. We would definitely stay again.

  • Kazz's place is really snug (and very hygge). I loved that we actually had our own little living room. The location across from the cathedral was perfect. Kazz was a very welcoming and easygoing host who attended to our needs, even when we didn't know we had them. I would highly recommend this airbnb.

  • Gordon was awesome with accommodating us with a beautiful, clean place in the heart of Bridge of Allan! This was our first time in Scotland and if ever given another opportunity to visit, we would love to stay here again. Gordon went above and beyond with arranging a taxi service to pick us up at the airport and answering all our questions. We were so pleased to meet his lovely wife and getting to know her for a bit. Our daughter is studying abroad for a semester and having a hard time adjusting. Morag took the time to talk to her, and has even offered their assistance if she needs anything. This was our first AirBnB experience and the have set the bar high for us now! Thank you for such a great place for our first visit!

  • The flat is very well located with lots of cosy bars and restaurants close by. Super cleanliness and comfortable beds were also very appreciated! But Gordon and Morag deserves a VERY special thank you for their kindness with helping out with our daughter who started her studies in Stirling University and was left without accommodation as everything else was fully booked. They not only offered to accomodate her in their private cottage but even helped her by driving her and her luggage to the cottage. The world definitely needs more people like Gordon and Morag ! A huge thank you again!!!

  • I can highly recommend a stay at Michael’s place in Doune. The house is lovely - an example of Thomas MacLaren architecture built in 1894 - so it is really wonderful staying in this piece of history. The house is very warm and comfortable with two fires aswell as central heating. The rooms and beds are comfy, with a lovely bathroom upstairs. The house is right in the centre of Doune so very close to all amenities. Some great walks around Doune Castle and the River Teith as well as through Doune Ponds into the woods beyond make this home very well positioned. Many thanks Michael for a great stay.

  • Very nice house, in a one way street, very quiet, with a small garden on the back which we could enjoy pleasantly. Very well equipped. We spent two very pleasant days in Doune. Thanks to Michael for his clarification for our stay.

    Katell2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing value! This little cottage is so much more than what I expected, it is everything you want when you go on a holiday to Scotland: it has character, charisma, space, beauty… Communication with Michael went flawlessly, he is really friendly, helpful and an amazing host. The little cottage has an amazing garden that you can sit in and enjoy the sunset. Doune is a quiet, peaceful, historic village, perfectly situated for travelling, walking, relaxing… Wi-Fi worked perfectly. If you are someone that are easily stressed in your day to day life, I recommend you take a bath and become completely relaxed! In the area you have the Red Lion Inn, a local pub were you can eat breakfast or lunch/dinner and of course the famous Doune Castle (Outlander, Monty Python & Game Of Thrones). I definitely want to come and stay here again.

  • Lovely place, amazing hospitality.

  • A quaint and beautiful little cottage, in the most beautiful surroundings of Bridge of Allan. Very close to Stirling University and a 10 min drive to Stirling city centre. The home itself has everything you need for a warm and comfortable stay. Mel was at the end of endless texts with quick and prompt replies (my questions) It would be a pleasure to stay again.

    Nicola2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect location. It is quiet enough for a relaxing vacation, but close enough to walk to the shops or drive to nearby towns. The train station is a 10 minute walk. The property itself is clean and very well equipped. The kitchen is small - but who cares when you are on holiday... you eat out anyway! We would stay again when we are next in the area!

We have a small but cosy double room in a modern house, right in the centre of the historic village of Doune. The room is not en suite but guests have the use of a private bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and WC. We also offer access to our kitchen with tea and coffee-making facilities. Unfortunately no pets are allowed as we already have two small dogs in the house.
Our room is not very big but well-proportioned and cosy - and we've been told that the bed is comfortable. There is also some space to hang your things in the wardrobe and some shelf-space for you to use.
The village of Doune is a great place to stay in - it is not too far from the city of Stirling, and under an hour away from Edinburgh and Glasgow (by car or by train, not on foot :-) ), and there is a train station in Dunblane, a town 4 miles to the east. But if you are someone who enjoys the great outdoors, we are virtually on the edge of the Trossachs - a beautiful area full of hills, lochs and forests, and on the tourist route to the Highlands. In Doune itself the place you must see is Doune Castle - a medieval stronghold built originally in the thirteenth century - and a now famous filming location (Monty Python's Holy Grail, Outlander, pilot episode for the Game of Thrones).
  • Wonderfully welcoming! Made a nice cuppa tea while awaiting my bubble bath...which was a treat after the long flight from the US. After my bath, I was offered homemade soup and bread. The meal was delicious, very unexpected and hit the spot. Had a good sleep and was ready to tackle a sunrise hike in the morning. Yes they have dogs, yes they bark, but they were both so cute and settled down for the night and were no bother.

  • Joanna was very friendly and quick to reply. When a prior booking cancelled on me, she accommodated my booking request in the morning for that night! The place was comfortable, cozy, and I slept like a baby. I had my privacy (which I really needed that night) and everything was clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again.

    Sarena2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We found our room very clean and comfortable and had private use of the bathroom. We booked the day before our stay and despite this, Joanna accommodated this late booking request with superfast communication and was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely return, should we be in the area again.

    Gillian2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

Comfortable one bedroom apartment in a secluded and quiet corner of the historic centre of Stirling. Once the married quarters for officers from the Argyll and Sutherhland Highlanders it is only a few minutes walk from Stirling castle and other attractions. In addition it is close to city centre shops, bars and restaurants and easily accessible from public transport or main roads north and south. Please note that the flat is on the first floor of a block, one flight of stairs to climb.
Sitting at the top of castle rock, just below the castle itself the apartment is set is its own grounds with fantastic views east towards Edinburgh. It is comfortably furnished and well equipped for short stays, perfect for couples and small families who want a base to explore Stirling or Central Scotland and the Trossachs. There are great walks around the castle rock from the doorstep of the flat. You are free to enjoy the large garden along with other residents in the property. Nice BBQ area overlooking the town and Wallace monument. Sleeping arrangements are flexible; there is one double bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed and a single futon chair bed in the living room. In addition to this there is also a travel cot for infants. I provide a basic welcome pack for guests which includes fruit, milk, bread, butter, cheese portions and cereals. In addition there are also basics such as pasta, rice and oil; enough for a basic meal till you get to the shops. There is also shampoo and shower gel provided.
The apartment is known locally as the Married Quarters since, until the 1980s, it was part of the castle and used as accommodation for married officers. You can still see the billet numbers over the main doors. The property is very central but quiet, secluded and friendly. There are some good restaurants within walking distance: The Portcullis beside the castle does a great dinner or The Bothy near the flat does a fantastic breakfast. The oldest pub in Stirling, The Settle Inn, is a friendly and great for a good beer, very lively at the weekend!

  • This apartment was very cute and comfortable! We had everything we needed for our night stay. The apartment felt very much like a home, which made the experience even more relaxing. Dianne's rental is, really, the perfect location for exploring around Stirling. Dianne was also very prompt in responding to any questions and was incredibly helpful in giving us information for parking. We would definitely recommend her apartment.

  • Dianne's cottage was beautiful, sparkling clean, and had so much space. Additionally, she left us a welcome bag full of local fresh produce and goodies - such a thoughtful touch and so unexpected. We loved getting to meet her and visit for a while, and she had good suggestions for nearby places to see. She was always quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. Would HIGHLY recommend. Absolutely perfect.

  • The landlord is very enthusiastic and attentive. If there is any need, I can respond and help in time. The house is just below the castle and in a good location. The stove in the living room is warm. The overall feeling of the house is very warm, check-in is also very convenient and simple, kitchen utensils are readily available, and I recommend it to everyone!

Catherine, is a down to earth, friendly person who couldn’t do enough to be helpful- which in our case meant accommodating our daughter who came with us at last moment. We’d definitely stay again next time we are visiting friends in the area.

  • Catherine was a lovely host! We enjoyed breakfast and plunger coffee very much. Very comfortable room, extremely comfy bed, great linen, and the coffee/hot choc/ tea machine right outside our room! Good location right in village, busy street for parking but we expected that! Note: Highland Hotel is not operating as a pub anymore, but there are 2 just down the road that have meals most days, and a supermarket around the corner. The local distillery is worth a visit also has bistro and really helpful, knowledgeable staff. Definitely do Doune Castle! Well worth it and a great audio tour.

  • The first stay on my trip and I really liked it. Was much better then expected for this low price ... Catherine was a cool host, bed comfortable, bathroom clean and the whole room had an approriate size. Breakfast was nothing special but absolutely sufficient ...

  • Mandi's place is a little bit outside if Stirling centre, but only a 10-15 minute walk away. It is in a very calm and right across a big Sainsbury's which is very practical. My ensuite room was very clean when I arrived and even cleaned once during my 1 week stay. Mandi is friendly with a sympathetic ear and had good advice about what to do in the area. If ever I come back to Stirling, I'd definitely come back to her place.

  • Great value for money - a nice, functional bedroom at great price. Mandi is an impeccable host, friendly and attentive. As the weather was a bit unstable during my stay, she sent me constant updates regarding road closures for example. I will be back.

  • This is the absolute best accommodation I have ever been to. Mandi is amazing and makes you feel at home.

  • Clean and well equipped accommodation. It is ideally placed for visiting Stirling and making many walks. We had a very good stay!

  • Great location with nice views and very cute atmosphere inside. Only one minus is no walking path, you need always use car to come in or get out for a walk. Great thing is Safari park for the kids nearby and Doune castle. Apartments are nice and clean.

  • We lost a bit with the address in the browser .. But we arrived, a charming place with a rustic touch that we liked a lot, the bed in the mezzanine is a luxury, it is close to the lakes, Doune, Stirling and 30 minutes airport car .. It has all the amenities you need, and communication with the owner is good .. The only thing that could be improved to be perfect is the comfort of a sofa bed .. But you can not ask for everything ..

  • Thank you, Carolyn. Nice house, suited us very well for our cycle trip. Key system worked well. Heating had been left on for our arrival - a nice touch. Hope to return some day.
