Everything you would have in a premium hotel room, except television and WiFi. You are equipped with a Sirius XM Stereo. Located in Arkansas Wine Country seated at the foothills of the Boston Mountains of the Ozarks. The room comes with a wonderful touch of nature and a sunset view for the ages. The view does not stop when you go to bed. The skylight provides a beautiful view of the heavens. Just one mile off of I-40 exit 41 South on Highway 186.
  • Hands down favorite BnB we’ve ever stayed at. Location was so beautiful, just the relaxing stop we needed during a truly hectic move. Dennis was delightful, stopped by to check on us, and brought by some tasty reds for us to enjoy even though they were technically closed during our stay. We hated to leave. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you have the opportunity.

  • This yurt will exceed all your expectations! It is super clean, comes with all the extras and super responsive hosts. I can’t wait to come back!

  • The perfect setting if you like quiet remote settings. Hotel quality just by yourself. Seriously very relaxing, pet friendly, my Dane loved the big field.

    Erin2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Having never stayed in a yurt was unsure what to expect. Think hotel quality, but it's round and remote. Had a cool glass piece at apex that lets you see the stars and serves as an alarm clock in that morning. Very clean space and the bed was verry comfortable. With the fire pit a great place to relax after hitting some trails.

    Erin2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a magical stay from start to finish. We loved tasting wine with Dennis and other customers. The yurt has everything you need and the trip would have been worth seeing the sunset alone. We ate at Weirderkehr (just down the road), which was delicious. Enjoyed some of Dionysus's wine by the fire under the stars with the local cat Frak (who sat on our laps all evening purring to the music). The yurt was warm, clean, bed was comfortable, and had everything you could need. We are already planning our next trip back!

    Sally2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We didn’t have much time here as we were on our way to Amarillo, but the hosts were prompt and super easy!! The place was just as it was listed. We had a small fire and gazed upon the stars. Which we could of wine tasted, but if were back in the area we will surely stay again!! 10/10 recommended staying here :)

    Joy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome little yurt! Very clean, easy to get to. Hosts also run Dionysus and were extremely helpful! And the view is INCREDIBLE.

    Nathan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We love Altus and we especially love Dennis and Sharla at Dionysus Winery and Brew! They are so warm and friendly! The yurt ⛺️ is a perfect place to stay while wine tasting in Altus. We recommend Wiedekher for dinner. Sharla waits tables there and was our waitress. Such a great weekend!

  • Staying here was lovely. The house is pleasant, comfortable, and clean, and felt like my grandmother’s tastefully decorated home. Furthermore, Jelsomin is kind, hospitable, and helpful.

    Alexa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a great stay in Jelsomin’s home. The room was comfortable and clean and her home felt very welcoming. Jelsomin was so kind and accommodating and we really enjoyed chatting with her. Her home is a short drive from great hikes in the national forest (we did the 8 mile Redmond/Spy Rock loop) and nearby wineries (we went to Mount Bethel). We also loved her sweet dog, Tux. Would totally come back!

    Darya2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay! Jelsomin gave us great hospitality, as did the loveable Tux the pup. It was great to be able to enjoy the property the evening of our stay, and to meet and talk with Jelsomin over coffee the next morning! Easy to find, easy to stay, great value and great company as well, if you desire.

    Tyler2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jelsomin’s place was a perfect stop traveling along I-40. In general, I felt like I was “home”. We chatted over coffee in the morning while watching the birds on the back deck. It was exactly what I needed

    Kenneth2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was excellent! The house smelled wonderful and Tux the pupper was the sweetest and so friendly. The host was extremely welcoming and I would highly recommend a stay!

  • A great deal for such a lovely space and amazing hospitality.

    Ryder2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jelsomin’s home was welcoming and warm. I was so comfortable in the spacious bedroom, with everything you could think to need. Jelsomin was overly hospitable and took the time to show me the space and make sure I had all I could need or want. I would be so happy to return to Ozark and stay again. Thank you!!!

    Brianna2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jelsomin's place was easy to find and check in to, even in the dark. She's a welcoming, flexible, friendly host, and I felt very comfortable in her home. The place is very clean and hospitable, with some lovely touches. Would gladly stay here again.

Enjoy Arkansas Wine Country in this remodeled 1878 homestead. We are set atop St. Mary’s mountain in Altus with a panoramic view of the Arkansas river valley. Great for large groups or family gatherings, with covered parking, an outdoor fireplace room, and large yard for outdoor activities. We are steps from historic St. Mary’s Church, minutes from 6 wineries, 3 breweries, canoeing/ATV/biking near the Mulberry River, touring Subiaco Abbey, and exploring and hiking Mt. Magazine state park. Enjoy!
Our historic homestead has been lived in by four generations of our family. It has a cozy feel and a charm of a farmhouse. There is plenty of gathering space, including a sleeping loft that has floor space for children to “camp out.” Our family’s father was born and raised in this house, and we lived here with our 7 children for many years. It is a house full of good memories and is set in a peaceful, beautiful spot. There is covered parking for 3 vehicles, and an outdoor fireplace room that is perfect for s’mores, a glass of wine, and storytelling. You will feel at home here, and we look forward to sharing our small town hospitality with you.
We are located in a peaceful, quiet, rural neighborhood. Our shining jewel is St. Marys Church, but also our fabulous view, and our area wineries and vineyards make Altus one of Arkansas’ gems.
  • This home is a hidden jewel. There’s no reason to ever second guess staying here bc it is absolutely perfect. The host are so wonderful & will definitely make you feel like you are at home. The host made sure we had everything we need as well made us a fire each night at the fire pit. There’s so much history in the home & it’s the perfect touch to your trip. The home also has a gorgeous view of the whole town down the mountain. Everything about this home is perfect. & let me just add - their wine from their family owned winery is delicious! One of the best brands of wines I’ve ever had! I 100% recommend staying here & I’ll definitely be back for another vacation.

Hey! Welcome to our Sweet Retreat! We have a good reason for naming our guesthouse such a name... It was our former chocolate shop!! Yesssss...Chocolates! Our name was Classic Candies and we started our business in this space back in 1986. We are no longer in the chocolate business but do still make chocolates for our family...and now for you, our guests! With every visit, there will be waiting, a little chocolate gift from us to you!
The kitchen island top is the original piece on which we made our chocolates. There are a few framed pieces scattered here and there reminiscent of our candy shop days. We offer a nice kitchen, coffee/hot chocolate/tea bar, 43" TV with Dish, Xbox, nice bathroom with walk in shower, and comfortable bedroom with new mattress. Outdoors, there is a fire pit, a patio area and a stocked pond, if you'd like to do a little fishing on the warmer months...or, if the pond water is warm, you can just feed the fish...throw a handful of fish food in pond and watch the water boil with catfish coming up to get a bite! Our guesthouse is on 3 acres just behind our main house. Enjoy the sunset and all of the night sounds...frogs croaking, crickets cricketing, and cicadas doing what cicadas do!
We are located, basically, right at the center of Ozark, Paris, Booneville and Charleston. Mt. Magazine is 39 min drive from here, four Wineries from 9 - 30 min away, choice of good restaurants from 2 - 19 min away, Hot Springs attractions little over 2 hrs from here and Eureka Springs attractions around 2 hour drive.
  • Wish I could give this place more stars! My boyfriend and I had the most relaxing weekend that we can remember. We loved every second of this place!

    Stephanie2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Sweet Retreat was exactly that! From the delicious chocolate samples to adorable little pond with kayak and fishing. Debbie made sure we had everything we needed. Made a fire in the pit and cooked some dogs on stick. Couldn't have asked for more. The mattress was super soft, linens clean and fresh. Even ended up purchasing some art on display in home. Loved every minute of our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    Cynthia2020-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful place to stay. I had a great time and it’s clear they value their home. Definitely recommend anyone to stay!

    Sean2020-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie was very hospitable, nice, and understanding. She was quick to respond back to us. Her place is very clean and cozy. The chocolates were delicious. Also, her dog is very sweet and playful. I would recommend her place to anyone staying in the area.

    Heather2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie is a wonderful host! Her place is very clean and well kept and provided many helpful amenities. Her communication when messaging her was super quick and she made it a point to ask us how our stay was before we left In person.

    Bethany2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, super cute and trendy for a county getaway!

    Joelle2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie is such a phenomenal host! I appreciated how considerate she was to us, as she ensured beds were prepared before we arrived. Debbie is extremely welcoming and so positive. The space was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. We definitely plan on coming back!

    Jane2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This hidden gem is a beautiful, spacious, all-to-yourself haven! The huge shower and comfy beds were surpassed only by Debbie’s hospitality. Debbie gave us food, let us pet her dog and cat, and recommended hikes and local restaurants (Reid’s was excellent!). We loved our stay, especially the fire pit and pond out back, and the beautiful decor. Thank you Debbie!!!!

You can enjoy Christmas year-round at The Christmas Cabin. Nestled in the middle of thousands of Christmas Trees this cabin is perfect for a quiet get-away. This is a working tree farm, so depending on the days you book you may see us planting or trimming our trees. Occasional photo shoots capturing the beauty of our Christmas trees can also be a festive seasonal activity you may encounter. New addition in December 2019...Disney+!
Christmas Tree Lane is a working tree farm. We use this Cabin during the Christmas season, but make it available during the other parts of the year. Occasionally photo shoots or other festive activities occur, especially during the Christmas season. The Cabin is rustic meaning rusty metal, barnwood, and a vaulted ceiling with lots of wintery things hanging on the walls (sleds, ice skates etc.) and possibly some dust.
This is a rural area, with a grass runway on the property for those guests who would like to fly in.
  • Jim and Karen’s Christmas cabin was simply incredible. We had no idea what to expect given we were visiting a Christmas cabin in April. We began our experience by arriving in the evening to a lit warm fireplace, Christmas music and snowy background looping on the tv and the cabin fully lit with Christmas lights inside and out. Every square inch is thoughtfully and lovingly decorated to make it super cozy; equipped with an endless amount of games, movies, with a warm fireplace and relaxing jacuzzi. The lights inside the cabin make it feel like Christmas no matter the time of year. The see-saw, cornhole and swings in the back provided tremendous outdoor fun for us and our little pup! An incredible unique Airbnb experience that is fantastic anytime of the year so long as you embrace the Christmas spirit.

    Nick2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • I see why Jim And Karen have 5 stars, they are superhost and this place is magical. THANK YOU

    Ray2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The absolute PERFECT destination for our family getaway! The setting, decor, and extra touches really make it feel like Christmas morning, year-round! Kids said at the end of our trip that they enjoyed our stay on Christmas Tree Lane as much, or BETTER than our recent trip to Disney World! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Hope to come back some day. 👍

    Charles2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Jim and Karen’s cabin. It had everything I needed and I appreciated how clean and comfy it was. I hope I’ll be able to stay again some day!

    Sara2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect cabin for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. It's even better in person than in the photos. The beds are extremely comfortable, lots of thoughtful touches and amenities and plenty of things to do nearby. Close distance to great hiking trails at Mount Magazine and a cute little town is close by with restaurants and a grocery store. We will definitely stay here again.

    Brandi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This has been one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever. Not only was the place the perfect balance of quaint cabin and modern amenities, but the hosts were so kind as well. They welcomed us the night we arrived and made sure the place was warmed up for us. I will definitely be telling my friends about this slice of Christmas in the wilderness and hope to stay here again in the future.

    Joe2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible cabin! We loved it! We are really considering going back soon. Hosts will reach take care of you.

    Ivan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Do you love Christmas? We do... do you love a nice, peaceful quiet place that is still fairly close to town? We do... when you stay at an air bnb do you like cleanliness and comfortable resting place? We do... this cabin was simply magical the hosts made sure to give this place a lot of love and made sure that everything you may need when away from home was readily available. On cold nights the hot cocoa and marshmallows were a perfect touch, snacks for our hikes were readily available as well. Zero complaints i would highly recommend this location.

  • This house is one of the best airbnb in my life! If I go to Arkansas again, I definitely stay here. My partner and I love a hot bathtub so much. The living room and bed room are very comfy. Our Airbnb hosts also recommended many amazing hiking trails and local restaurants. However, there are two roads to get to this house. One is good, but the other one is bad. We used the wrong road to get to the house and our car got stuck. Our hosts came to help us immediately. We appreciated so much.

Turner Bend Cottage is a two-story cottage that perched on a hillside overlooking the Mulberry River and the Pig Trail. From here guests can access the river for boating, ATV riding, biking, and hiking. With in walking distance, guests can visit our Turner Bend store for gifts, wine, and sandwiches.
Turner Bend cottage is where you can view the people and boat activities. Our busiest times are on the weekend in April, May, June, and July. It is very quiet and serene during weekdays. We are one hour south of Fayetteville, and Ft. Smith, and an hour and half to Eureka Springs. Turner Bend Cottage is located at the Turner Bend campground and next to the main lodge.
Our Mulberry River Valley is a beautiful area to visit. With its emerald green color that winds from Oark to Mulberry, the Mulberry River brings white water boaters during spring and summer floating season. From spring to fall motorcyclists flock to the Pig Trail to ride and collect their patches and mark their list. Of course ATV riders love the multitude marked trails we have here in the Ozark National Forest. In the fall the whole mountainside of the Mulberry river valley is a blazed with jewel tone colors that mesmerized our guests who happened to catch our fall as its peak.
  • Cute little house built into the mountain side. It was a clean and comfortable place to stay.

  • This was THE BEST air bnb my wife and I have ever stayed at. The hosts were incredibly kind, hospitable, and happy to help. The cottage was beautiful and he every amenity you could need. This is the best play to stay in if you looking for a good place to stay near the Ozark National Forest. Highly recommend to anyone looking

  • I’ve never stayed in a more thoughtful, beautiful, clean Airbnb! Beds were comfortable, my son LOVED the loft bed. Loved the fresh eggs, waffle mix, coffee, bagels etc. We never had to ‘buy’ breakfast! The movie projector and movies was a great way to end the day. Everything was super clean and organized and when I say they thought of everything, they really did down to flashlights, lanterns, umbrellas, sleep mask and ear plugs and the list goes on. We felt SO at home here! Location was perfect for us too. We found endless things to do within 1-2 hours. The hosts were very helpful from answering any questions to giving us ideas of things to do. If you stay here, you’ll love just as much as we did. We were so sad to leave this GEM. Can’t wait to come back!

  • This is by far the best home and experience I have ever had through Airbnb. It was the perfect size and fit for me and my friends for the night. The sweetest and most genuine hospitality and stay. We are planning our next trip soon.

  • The attention to detail at The Emerald Cottage was phenomenal! I absolutely love the decor. The scenery is beautiful. We saw cardinals and blue jays this morning by the pond. We had good conversation with one of the hosts. This AirBnB has several special touches. We love it!!

  • Booked the place as a surprise weekend for my wife. It definitely was the best place for us to spend the valentine’s weekend at. Beautiful, natural and quite comfy with all the amenities we needed. The hosts were easy to communicate with and respectful.

  • Our family enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Cottage. Everything was great from the hospitality to the accommodations. This is an extremely well-appointed little cottage. The owners have though of everything. Plenty of room outside. We enjoyed the nearby Lake Fort Smith State Park for hiking. Overall a nice little weekend getaway.

Turner Bend Carriage House is a lovely one-bedroom one-bath apartment that tucked in at a foot of a hillside next to a small brook with private drive and lots of parking. The interior is clad in cedar and is the newest addition to our Turner Bend lodging portfolio. This apartment is located a quarter of a mile off Hwy 23 and is directly across from our Round the Bend Cabin. It is .5 mile south from the Turner Bend Store. It is a convenient location to access all of the outdoor activities.
From the Carriage House you can access the Mulberry River to launch your boat at the Turner Bend Store, or ride your ATV to the trailhead near by (within 2.5 miles). We are 3 miles south from the Mulberry Mountain's Wakaan Music Festival and 8 miles south of Byrd's Adventure Center. Ozark Highland Trail is near by for hiking and Highway 23/the Pig Trail is well known ride for most motorcyclists. Our Turner Bend Store is half mile north for all your supply need.
  • Nice place. Excellent private location. Close to gas station which is nice

Beautiful cabin right on the Mulberry River at a great location for riding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking and having fun with family and friends! During your stay, enjoy a full kitchen, outdoor grill, washer, dryer, screened in back porch, firepit, master bedroom with balcony overlooking the river, city water, central heat and air, covered parking, and cell phone service if you have AT&T. Check out/message our page on Facebook for more pics and info @CrookedHCabinMulberryRiver
The best part about Crooked H Cabin is the scenery, seclusion, location on the river and nearby riding trails, BUT you get the comforts of home. We love the outdoors, but we also love the comforts of clean city water, central heat and air, two bathrooms, and cozy beds to come home to when our adventures are over for the day.
  • We loved this place with our two boys. It was right up our alley with being out of city limits, but still having phone signal. The location was perfect with being close to so many utv trails and adventurous areas.

  • Even though it was rainy and wet for most of the weekend, we still really enjoyed our stay. The cabin itself was great and well stocked. The view of the river from the upstairs bedroom balcony was just amazing.

  • The place was great! It was exactly what we were hoping for! Leah was quick to respond and went our of her way to offer several local spots/hikes to explore. The place was clean and the grounds were perfect for sitting by the fire and cooking out in the evenings. Highly recommend it! The road to the home can get a a bit rough if its raining so would recommend an SUV or truck,. However, we were able to navigate the roads in a Honda Accord so it is possible in a smaller vehicle :)

  • Place was awesome.

    Brandon2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • everything was perfect from the min we stepped in. The location is breathtaking and the cabin was equipped well. The beds were very comfortable to sleep in and extra bedding was available. Walmart was approximately 7 miles and few options to eat a little up head. We did a lot of hiking, swimming and canoeing in the lake. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Arkansas !!!

  • This is a great cabin for families wanting to get away from it all. Absolutely stunning views and seclusion. Home is very clean and comfortable. Our family had a great time cooking our meals and eating outside, hanging out fireside and in the screened porch area. Not great for children to swim as you have to climb down to the river but perfect for older kids and adults.

We have satellite T.V. and we have plenty of old-fashioned board games for your family or group to enjoy! The bathroom has a shower stall with a seat but does not have a tub. You will love the kitchen/dining area! Very spacious and well-lit with natural light from the large windows. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, creamer & sweetener available for you. It’s the best “Farm-to-Table” restaurant around! As for the only two other restaurants close to our location, there’s The Burger Barn (8 miles away) and the historical Oark General Store (10 miles away), which is the oldest continually operated store/cafe in Arkansas. Or if you prefer to prepare your own meals, the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, cookware, and utensils. Just bring your own food! During your stay, I’ll be more than happy to provide you with a home-cooked breakfast. And for a fee, I’ll be happy to make you lunch and supper too!
  • Once we walked through the door all of our worries and hustle and bustle of life just melted away. We couldn’t of asked for a better trip. Our kids and dogs were so happy and made life long memories. We can’t wait to go back! It was so beautiful at time it made you feel dizzy. Highly recommend! Tracy and John are incredible hosts & the breakfast is INCREDIBLE.

  • This place is where you go if you want to escape the high pace tech world and truly enjoy life the way it’s meant to be lived. Tracey and John are the most gracious and helpful couple I’ve likely ever met... we plan to visit again when the weather is warmer as this truly is a lovely place to stay.

    Erica2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn’t imagine a more comfortable and hospitable experience for a family getaway! We absolutely felt right at home. There were so many homey touches & little extras that went a long way. We LOVED the farm tour (cows, bluff views, & a cave!), yummy homemade breakfast delivered each morning, fishing & pedal boating in the pond, exploring around the property, swinging on the back deck, watching deer in the morning-it sure was hard to leave! We definitely hope to return and would recommend the Country Mountain Retreat to anyone wanting a relaxing and fun getaway in the beautiful Ozarks!

    Jessie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay! The home and hosts were very welcoming. It had everything we needed. Our 2 and 5 year old loved seeing the calves in February and appreciated the toys in the front room. The cozy bean bag in the front was also a hit with them! Tracy's cooking was so delicious too, the breakfast toasties & biscuits and gravy were our favorite! I definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a cozy place to stay with great views and hikes within driving distance.

    Mandy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy has a lovely, warm country retreat! She is an excellent chef - the cinnamon rolls were delicious. The mountain scenery is breathtaking, and the livestock are just amazing. Seeing a new born calf stand and walk for the first time brings back the simplicity and appreciation of life. Hiking is incredible and a must see in the Ozarks! If you want to experience the natural state, please stay here and make memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Tracy, for allowing us to enjoy your retreat.

    Lori2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Ozark’s hidden gem! Perfect location for hikes and enough amenities that you’ll think about not leaving and just enjoying the area directly around the house. Tracy and John were the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with. Extremely thoughtful and accommodating

    Gregory2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay. Large, private, extremely well kept house and grounds. Large enough for a big family, yet I did not feel at all overwhelmed as a solo traveler. Hosts were wonderful, taking me on a tour of the property - including some waterfalls and a meet and greet with some of their livestock (this is a working farm). Even brought me a delicious home-cooked breakfast. Highly recommend!

    Marie2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tracy’s Airbnb was spectacular!!!!!! A group of us came down for a wedding and needed a cozy getaway the night before the wedding, this home was the perfect treat. Tracy was SO accommodating and there was plenty of space for us to all stay comfortably. I appreciated the quick communication and helpful tips from Tracy! We definitely would come back again!!!! This was the most beautiful place for a nice getaway.

  • Well, I am afraid to write what I think, because then Annette's place will get too booked for my wife and to come back in the fall. What can I say. Annette's place was truly awesome. If you're looking for the farmhouse experience, close to the Ozarks, easy highway access, quite, and a great overall relaxing get away, then Annette's place is for you! We can't wait to return during the fall colors.

  • We loved our stay at Netties Nest! It was cute and charming, and very spacious. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of spices, so making food was nice and easy. We would love to come back, and recommend this home to others who come to Mulberry!

  • Don’t hesitate to stay here! It’s an adorable old farmhouse with so much charm. Annette was a wonderful host she even had a delicious homemade cake waiting on us when we got there. The house is located in the country but super close to the Mulberry River. We had such a relaxing stay and I can’t wait to go back!

Round the Bend is an enchanting cabin that sits on the bank of the Mulberry. With its beautiful view of the Black Mountain and woodland, this retreat is a relaxing place to kick off your shoes and unwind. From here guests can fish, launch boat, or ride to the ATV trail heads near by. The cabin is .5 mile off Highway 23 and a .5 mile from Turner Bend Store just look for the picturesque red barn with the sign 'ROUND THE BEND' -go through the gate that takes you to the river.
Round the Bend is a 3 bedrooms and one bath cabin with a spacious open setting for the kitchen and dining area. One bedroom has a double bed, one bedroom has a queen bed, and one bedroom has two twin beds and an extra twin mattress that you can pull out for an extra person. It also has a washer and dryer that guests can use during a long stay. With in few steps, and you are at the Mulberry riverbank for boating, fishing, and wading in the shallow water. The view is spectacular with its open field of woodland and near by Black Mountain. Summertime is a great time to watch for fireflies twinkling as darkness settled over the landscape.

My place is close to almost nothing! It is 1/4 mile from Highway 22, 2 miles to the nearest restaurant, 20 miles to Subiaco abbey, and 40 minutes to Mt Magazine. It is quiet! No noisy neighbors. Lots of early morning quiet and birdsong. You can even see the stars at night and the southwest end of Mt. Magazine. Horeshoe Mountain is a backdrop to the East.
I think the space is listed as entire house, which is true, except for my bedroom...I am not always at the house but many times I am. Just ask if you want to know if I will be here. Of course, if I am here you will get breakfast if you want it. There is a basement with a pool table, table-tennis, air hockey, and foos-ball that can be used with adult supervision. Please, only use the pool cues with tips and please do not let children throw the balls or use the table if they are not at least waist high at the pool table.
Shane's country restaurant is two miles from the house...quite good. The Grapevine restaurant is in Paris which is 11 miles from the house and is very good. Both of these are closed on Monday. Rivertown barbecue is a favored place of many and it is 12 miles from the house in Ozark. From Ozark you could go to Altus where there are a couple wineries with wine tasting (Post Winery has a very good tasting room, gift shop and tour) , Weiderkehr winery has a German/Swiss restaurant.
  • Beautiful quiet area with lots of space. Really enjoyed our stay.

  • We are regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Carolyn’s place as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places we have stayed. The place was very clean, comforting and had everything we needed to feel at home. I especially enjoyed the fire pit out back where my family and I enjoyed relaxing evenings by the fire. We greatly appreciated Carolyn’s unexpected thoughtful touches, such as bacon and eggs in the refrigerator. Communication was great too. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this wonderful home!

Paris, AR - Accommodates 4 people comfortably. There is 1 Queen Bed and 2 Twin Beds. A Queen air mattress is also available for possibly 2 more guests. 2 BR , 1 Bath with convenient 'in-town' location. Please see notes in "Overview" prior to booking cottage with more than 4 guests. Thanks.
Although the home is located in town within sight of the Historic Courthouse, it is still in a relatively 'private' setting, right next door to the Logan County Historical Jail Museum. Paris is Home to Mount Magazine, the tallest point in Arkansas. It is just 19 miles to to top of Mt. Magazine from the cottage. I highly recommend guests do a 'sunset' dinner at the Skycrest Restaurant in the Lodge on Mt. Magazine during their stay.
Our cottage is reminiscent of "Grandma's House" and you'll love the convenience of being in town, yet still in a private setting. There's so many great things to do in this area ! You will definitely want to take in the sights at Mt. Magazine, which is just 19 miles away and Mt. Nebo, which is 35 miles away. If you'd like to try your hand at some fishing, or perhaps want to go for a swim, you can enjoy 160-acre scenic 'Cove Lake' which is just 9 miles from Paris. Perhaps you'll want to visit 5 of Arkansas local wineries which are within 30 minutes of the cottage (including Cowie Wine Cellars and Vineyard, right here in Paris). There are also a lot of 'antique/resale' shops within a 30 - 45 minute drive of the cottage ! This is a great lay-over spot for those traveling up to Eureka Springs (98 miles away) or Branson, MO (137 miles away). You can also enjoy all that Fort Smith has to offer ~ From Museums to 'Cherokee Casino' which is just across the Oklahoma border, only 8 mi. from Ft. Smith. It's 41 miles from the Cottage to Fort Smith ! Of course you'll want to 'relax' as well ! Our kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to cook up a great meal, or you may want to use our BBQ pit and have a cookout, then enjoy it under the gazebo : ) The bathroom is small, but 'cozy' and you'll enjoy relaxing in the antique claw-foot tub (with shower) No matter what time of year you come, there's always something to do in the area. Even in the winter ! Paris is on the 'Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights' and our community turns its downtown square into a winter wonderland each Christmas season. Postcards could be made from the beauty 'fall foliage' in our area. Mt. Magazine (Tallest point in Arkansas) - 19 beautiful miles to the top from our cottage. Be sure to take in a 'sunset' dinner there ! Whether you just want to get away for a few days to 'unwind', or looking for a quaint place to stay for your Anniversary, our 'cottage' is sure to be a welcome retreat for you ! Come experience the Arkansas River Valley with us and create new memories ! There may be a few rentals available for a slightly 'lower' cost. However, we are in a very 'convenient' location ! You are also getting the use of the entire home. Even though it is 'in town', it is in a relatively 'private', quiet setting. If you consider the cost of 'gas' to stay in a location further out, we believe our cottage is actually one of the best deals in this area and comparable to the cost of hotels. And you can have 'peace of mind' .. We are located within blocks of the police, fire station and hospital ! CV's family grocery, Walmart & Dollar Tree are in town. Washer & Dryer are located in the Kitchen Area. Ladies: Please bring your own washcloth or makeup removal pads for makeup removal. Cleaning fee does not include dishes ~ Please wash and put away the dishes and cooking utensils as they are used. Please do NOT make up the beds prior to leaving... Thanks :) Pets will only be considered on 'monthly' rentals. *** (Additional Notes: Our home has 1 Queen Bed & 2 Twin Beds. We do offer a Queen air mattress, if needed, which would accommodate 2 additional people. Remember, the bathroom is 'small', so if more than 4 guests stay, you will probably need to allow for re-heating of water in the water heater. Enjoy Your Stay ! PJ Price, Owner
  • Great hospitality and a wonderful location! Would definitely recommend!

  • If your coming in from the woods or just traveling through this a slice of Arkansas hospitality. Hot shower, comfortable beds and just a touch of your Auntie at her best. True rest at the end of a long day.

  • Super cute house and a great value. Probably the best equipped kitchen of any AirBnb I’ve stayed at. Lots to do in the area for nature lovers ~ Petit Jean SP was great! Great communication from PJ too.

Horsehead Lake Lodge II is more like a resort. It offers the main cabin, a smaller cabin down by the lake, a theater room/bunkhouse, and a separete outdoor restroom/shower for more privacy! The lodge comes complete with kayaks, a canoe, a paddle boat and a small trolling motor/ fishing boat! There is also a sand volleyball court, a bocce ball court, basketball goal, horseshoes and bag toss! There is a 120” projection screen tv system with surround sound in the theater room/bunkhouse. DISH TV.
The entire property is yours to use. It’s all included!
  • This place is amazing. Our entire group of 16 people had a great time. Plenty of options to entertain Kids. Highly recommend.

    Brijesh2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 16 people (8 adults & 8 kids) just returned from Spring Break at Horsehead Lake. Everything was even better than I imagined. The property is beautiful, the views are spectacular, the houses were great and we had tons of space and privacy for our rambunctious and noisy group. Most of the kids stayed in bunkhouse where there are 4 built in twin bunks, a pullout sofa and lots of comfortable cots. The adult couples each had their own bedrooms and there is a loft in the main house with 2 more twin beds and lots of space for extra cots. Our group never felt crowded and we had plenty of space. There is an abundance of activities like boating (kayak, canoe, paddleboat and more), fishing (we caught a few), volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, pingpong, cornhole, and a spectacular bocce ball area where the men spent most of their time. We hung out around the firepit which is close to the main house and bunkhouse. Scott provides plenty of firewood and there are lots of outdoor chairs for you to use. We drank coffee on the front porch with the lake view in the morning and would hangout on the dock at night under the moonlight. It was magical! Our group cooked all of our meals in Scott's well stocked kitchen. If you have a large group like ours, then I'd reccomend bringing extra plates and eating utensils. We were thankful for the 2nd refrigerator in the small cabin since we had tons of food. You need to bring bottles and gallon jugs of water for drinking and cooking (for instance coffee, boiling pasta, etc) because the property uses well water which can have an unpleasant smell. Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and was always available if we had questions or needed something. I highly reccomend this place and I would be happy to stay there again!

  • Scott was great. He provided a great place for a fun weekend getaway!! He helped us a lot when the weather was being uncooperative!!

    James2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's place is beautiful. 3 cabins that allow for a variety of people to sleep. About 25 min from civilization, which is perfect. This cabin is also located right on Horsehead Lake, and he has all the river amenities you'd need: fishing pole, kayak, boat, life jackets, etc. This place felt very homey.

    Logan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place to get away that has everything for a group to have fun this place is perfect! We had a group of 8 adults and 6 kids and had PLENTY of room. The cabins are not only very nice but the host went out of his way to make our stay fun and comfortable. Tons of entertainment outside. The lake is beautiful and perfect swimming place for kids. The cabin was clean, comfortable and even had some food items stocked since the store is 30 minutes out. If I could rate this place 10 stars I would.

  • Landy was great with communication. The cabin was clean and felt bigger than I expected. The property won us over. There was so much nature to enjoy! We will plan a return trip at some point.

    Jess2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is RURAL! It was absolutely fabulous. Walking the property was so fun. It was a little disappointing to see the beds on the floor, until I slept in one....super comfortable. I definitely plan to return to this location.

    Sheri2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for anyone that enjoys off road activities, canoeing and being with friends and family. On the border of the national forest so lots to see. Landy does a great job with local information on trails and other activities. You also have access to a Willy’s Jeep if desired. You probably won’t get cell service but WiFi is available and there is no cable TV but plenty of movies. Had a great fire by the river and the full moonrise over the Mulberry river was spectacular! Basic furnishings and beds but the beds were very comfortable! Would highly recommend!

    Steve2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Landy was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay again!! So much land to explore and relaxing deck right off the river.

  • A very friendly and helpful host. We got a lot of guidance before reaching the spot. Loved the location and view. The house was very clean and well equipped. The local tour guide map helped us in planning our trip. Walmart and gas station are just 15min away. It is one of the best place to stay when you plan to vist ozark national forest.

  • I am not personally one to write a review for anything, but when it comes to Scott and his cabin up on the mountain, I have to. We have only ever done an Airbnb one time before, and this last experience was so different then our first. We will be doing more just because of this place! Let me first start off with the cabin and property. It is clean, spacious and honestly a piece of art. When my wife and I first opened the door we looked at each other and said “Wow”. If you ever wanted to experience a cabin on a bunch of land, with a pretty private lake this is the place. I can’t even imagine a nicer one in the whole country! Even if you aren’t looking for that type of place the home is so beautiful, classy, and warm that I don’t think anybody could be unhappy. We even got to see a pair of bald eagles, how many other places can boast that?! I came here with my wife and 5 kids and found there to be ample space and enough amenities at the location to keep everyone entertained. We even survived a severe weather event up here (we had to stay inside with 5 kids) without killing each other! Now when it comes to Scott, he is a very caring, personable and responsible host. He made sure we felt at home and checked on us multiple times. He took the time out of his day to talk to us about Arkansas and helped sell the idea of us moving here as we will be relocating here for work. He even came down to the lake and helped my kids with their fishing poles. When we move here we plan on staying here for weekend trips as well. It really is just that nice! If any ANO people are looking for outage lodging I will say it is only about 35 minutes away, do not discount it. The extra drive time is well worth it when you actually see what this place has to offer.

    Chevy2020-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, like all the other 5 star reviews mentioned, Scott is the best host ever! The beautiful secluded lodge is a dream come true. The view from the decks are breathtaking. We really enjoyed hiking around the property. Our grown children are asking to come with next time. We will be returning!

    Teresa2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just Absolutely Beautiful!!! We had such a wonderful visit. The house was gorgeous and the views were spectacular! We had tons of fun hiking down to the waterfall and just walking around the property. Scott is awesome and extremely hospitable. Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

    Michelle2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was spectacular and more than we expected. Scott was amazingly hospitable and saw to our every need. The photos do not do this location justice and the local hiking was breathtaking. Bring your camera because you will need it.

    Teresa2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay and Scott was extremely helpful and available if we needed anything. Looking forward to coming back out!

    Jake2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is absolutely beautiful very well built and a well thought out floor plan. The views from cabins large windows and balconies are exceptional, the bed in master and 1st floor bedroom are quite comfortable and conducive to a good nights sleep. The kitchen is well equipped for making breakfast/dinner and grilling. The portable WIFI speaker was nice while enjoying outdoor activities our grandson enjoyed the mega phone too. The washer and dryer came in handy too.
