Family-friendly vacation rentals in Rye

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

My friends and I had a great stay! The place had everything we needed, the beds were really comfortable, and the hot tub was a perfect touch that made our trip even more special. The host was friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

We were a family party of 7 who meet up the same time each year. This accommodation was just perfect - literally had anything you need. We were lucky with the weather and managed to have 2 BBQ in the lovely garden. Would definitely stay here again

Really great stay for a large group, wirh fantastic sized bedrooms all round, plenty of space for everyone and lovely outdoor space for good weather!

Victoria’s house was amazing. A group of us stayed for a walking weekend and was the perfect spot to walk to Dungeness and back. The rear access to the dunes and the beach was incredible. Victoria is an amazing host and was helpful and responsive all the way. Would definitely recommend.

Had a two night stay in 'The Dairy'. Lovely place. Clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Great views from the hot tub (enjoyed watching the local horses rolling in the morning!) Straight forward check in with no problems. Only suggestion would be a hook or two in the bathroom - there wasnt much space for toothbrushes/wash bag for 4 people. But really cant fault it. Would recommend. Thanks.

A perfect hidden gem — peaceful, cosy, and the ideal escape. The hot tub and sauna were such a treat, especially after coastal walks, and the space was so thoughtfully set up for both us and our dog. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing stay — we’ll absolutely be back!

Such a beautiful property, surrounded by peaceful countryside and at the end of a country road so there was no passing traffic. A quintessential English period property, beautifully and tastefully decorated with everything that you need for a wonderful stay. Lisa was delightful, excellent communication and warm with her welcome. The beds were comfortable and everywhere clean and tidy. The barn also lovely and our extended family enjoyed staying there. The garden truly beautiful and in May after a warm start to the year so many flowers were in bloom, roses and wisteria around the front door and lilac along the pathway. Excellent seating on the terrace ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks, we just wish our time there was less frantic, would love to return and slow down to enjoy this perfect rental. We’ve enjoyed our stay at Marc’s and Karen’s place. It was very clean and tidy with everything one needs. Marc and Karen are also very friendly hosts!

We came as a group of 4 and a dog. The house is beautiful and contains everything you need. The kitchen is great with all the items you need. The living/dinning room works very well and with the bifold doors just adds an extra touch during the summer time. The bedrooms are also great with very comfortable beds. The showers are good. The house was very clean without any problems to share. We would for sure book again if we decided to explore this part of the country. Thank you

Wonderful stay in the grounds of such a beautiful garden. Walk to the beach and high street was 10 minutes and Frank was more than happy to show us the quick routes to do this. The accommodation had everything we needed for a short stay with our children (family of 5). We were happy to all be in one room (sleeping wise) and the children happily played in the very large garden. We enjoyed the tranquility of the spot and a morning cuppa on the decked area in the sun. It was extremely easy to walk into whitstable high street and the beach and the hosts were absolutely lovely. Thank you for a great last minute stay away.

Martin was a proactive and friendly host who was so sensitive to our needs (as we'd been through a difficult time as a family). Instructions were thorough. clear and helpful. Check in and check out was as flexible as possible. We also appreciated the bottle of bubbles as well as all the other basics like tea, coffee, etc. Martin's additional info on getting to & from our evening entertainment/venue was invaluable & beyond helpful. We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse. Old Tudor, packed with character and the surrounding area is stunning. Local pubs in close proximity which serve lovely food. All in all a fantastic stay

My family had a great stay in this townhouse in London. Very convenient location near King's Cross.

We had a great stay at the Garden flat. It had everything we needed and was a great location for local cafes/restaurants and the beach. Parking was easy too. Jane was a great host who was very helpful. She also replied to messages very quickly. We would definitely recommend the flat and would love to come back.

Abigail’s place is charming, full of character and located in a very peaceful street. We felt at home straight away with a lovely bright, well-stocked kitchen, comfy bed and coffee machine. It was close to the seafront and also the beating heart of Ramsgate with a Waitrose just around the corner - you couldn’t ask for a better spot. We loved our visit to Ramsgate and would definitely stay at Abigail’s lovely home again. Thank you!

We’ve had the best time. The barn is very beautiful surrounded but the most beautiful garden. The place was very idyllic for a weekend escape. The location is a short drive from Dungeness. Rye and Folkestone . The pool and hot tub were added bonus. Thank you so much for a wonderful break.

A little gem of a place! Don't let the exterior fool you! It's homely, peaceful and just a home from home once you are through the door with a cuppa in hand and slumped on the sofa! I could of hapilt stayed for weeks! The flat is within walking distance to Battersea Park (5 minute walk) and Chelsea (15-20 minute walk) which was perfect for my solo trip to see Chelsea in bloom. There are some great free parking spots local to the flat which is great if you plan on coming by car! The area felt safe and welcoming and I had no issues walking to and from the flat even quite late at night. The bus stop is round the corner and takes you to all the great spots in central London! The highlights from my stay were being welcomed by a beautiful bottle of red wine, the amazing shower that I struggled to get out of as it was just so relaxing and the ambience of busy London in the background whilst I read my book next to the fire wrapped in a blanket! I will definitely be back!

What a wonderful stay we had at the cottage. Fantastic location near Ashford, the grounds of the cottage are stunning, pool bigger than we thought and we were very lucky with the weather so could use it all 3 days. Of the amenities we used to great effect; - Pool - Garden - Especially for our black Lab - BBQ - Fire Place - Kitchen for full breakfast We would definitely stay again, host was super responsive, answered all our questions and we didn't want for anything. We were quite a decent sized group, 2 couples, 2 toddlers and a big Labrador, but could easily have another couple stay in the 3rd double room (that we didn't use). We also got an Ocado delivery to the cottage on our first evening and it was delivered no fuss. Great stay.. A+

Perfect place for our family of four to stay for a peaceful and secluded retreat for a couple of nights. The cottage was lovely and the grounds and surrounding garden were beautiful. My two primary school aged daughters loved spending time in the swimming pool and even attempted to play a bit of tennis! Caroline was a brilliant host and keen to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Super friendly and always clear and responsive with communication. Would love to stay here again some time and hope we get a chance to do so!

This is an accurately described, beautiful home in idyllic countryside. The house is spacious and very stylishly furnished with vintage furniture and artwork. Ideally there would be one or two more bathrooms with showers - we knew this before staying of course - it just means more planning of showering with a larger group of people staying. We especially loved relaxing in the garden room with the gorgeous views of the garden and rolling hills beyond. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so definitely made the most of having a pool and pizza oven and BBQ. And we picked fresh figs off the tree by the pool, delicious! The kids loved the trampoline and table tennis. Enzo was great and prompt at communicating with us. We appreciated the local recommendations - we enjoyed lunch at the Jolly Sportsman, coffee at Cafe du Jardin and a mooch around all the antiques shops in Lewes. A very comfortable house to enjoy with three generations of our family.

An absolutely beautiful house in a gorgeous location. We had a lovely weekend with walks up and down the coast and a short drive to a great pub for Sunday lunch. Maggie was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely love to stay again.

Friendly, responsive host from start to finish, very helpful with check in and throughout the stay, we had some beautiful weather to enjoy the heated pool, it was set to a lovely temperature, perfect temperature for a few lengths (or relaxing in a float), nice secluded outdoor area, with a great bbq and space to sit
