Monthly Rentals in Rowland Lake

In spring each year I take a solo silent retreat & this cottage was perfect for unplugging, getting away from city noise, syncing with the sun, & giving my nervous system the chance to fully relax. There's Wi-Fi if you open the bedroom window & place your phone on the sill. However, it's a wonderful opportunity for a pile of books, art projects, meditation, &--best of all--watching the weather form over the Columbia River, the trees in the wind, the animals (deer, elk, turkey, eagles), & the sunrise. I didn't leave the property at all during my week stay. Bring hiking socks/boots to walk through the wooded areas for the burrs that hitch a ride. As an extremely light sleeper, I slept peacefully without earplugs by closing the bedroom door & letting the shower sprayer hang down gently to keep it from dripping. Train & traffic sounds are faint enough to not be intrusive & I never once heard a train horn. Fantastic hike/view 15 min away at Tom McCall/Rowena area. Highly recommend!

A genuine five star experience! Elizabeth is a fabulous host surprising us with touches of unexpected generosity. The trains were magnificent, the highway unnoticeable, and the views inspirational. Will definitely stay again if possible.

This place has become an yearly tradition for me. Was my 5th time staying here and absolutely love my stay every time. Erin continues to keep the space very clean and the little house is beautiful and has a lot of amenities. We managed to hangout on the last day of my stay and its always fun. If you're looking for a place with zero light pollution for stargazing, this also makes an awesome venue for that with 180 degree view of the skies. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of some meteor shower and surprise northern lights. Highly recommend this place and the farmstay.

High quality finish work and construction throughout the space and attention to detail was very refreshing in an Airbnb. Highly recommended! Enjoyed watching the deer this am.
