Unique, authentic and clean! We were looking for a place where to stay in the mountains and still have the Italian authentic small vila - and we found it. It was rainy when we stayed, but it didn’t changed our plans and the vibe as the villa itself has the coziness that fits any weather. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to feel the unique and authentic vibe.

We had a fantastic stay in the cottage for nine nights. Villa Alta is in a beautiful location and the grounds around the house are so well maintained. We enjoyed both the shared pool and our own private terrace with hot tub. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and perfect for our needs. It was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Raffaella was so friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the villa on a couple of occasions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

!!! Hidden jewel of Tuscany !!! My girlfriend and I had one of the best holidays ever in this wonderful place away from the tourist strongholds. We were received in person by the host family upon our arrival. Just to let you know: Molly herself is just a kind of agency from the UK, with whom you have contact before arrival. We were then in contact with the host family on site and were very warmly welcomed by them. For the perfect start to our holiday, we were handed a homemade antipasti plate, fresh fruit, a cake and a bottle of wine. When we got a detailed tour of the property, we couldn't get out of it. Everything was just incredibly beautiful and prepared for us with so much love for detail. Starting with the pool area, which is equipped with the most seating, lying and chill facilities. Of course, the fire bowl must not be forgotten, which is just perfect for a cozy and romantic evening. In addition, there is the breathtaking view over Castiglione di Garfagnana and the associated nature. For us personally, the pizza oven and the associated barbecue station were an absolute highlight. The house has everything you need. It is super clean, well equipped (especially the kitchen) , the bed is really comfortable and here we really want to highlight the attention to detail in all rooms. In addition, the surroundings are beautiful, you can just love the small villages, the mountains and nature. A perfect place to just unwind and enjoy the tranquility. In the end, it is only to say that we are incredibly happy to have discovered this place, a week there was far too short and we can recommend this accommodation with full conviction. Sara and Brian are truly amazing hosts—proactive, kind, and fascinating to talk to. Their home is enchanting, like stepping into a real fairytale. You can feel how much love and care they’ve poured into every detail. It’s one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever stayed in! Not only is the house and the garden magical, but it’s also so practical and thoughtfully equipped, providing everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable. The gym was fantastic, and the house had plenty of space for two families. Even with 2 adults and 4 “monkeys” (our energetic kids), there was room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks lighting up the entire region was an unforgettable experience. La Chicca Blu is a true gem, offering everything you need for a serene and relaxing getaway. The garden and pool enjoy plenty of sunlight throughout the day, while the trees and awning provide perfect shaded spots when needed. Marzia, the host, is warm and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable stay while respecting your privacy. She is attentive but unobtrusive, allowing you to feel as if you're in your own private summer retreat. This is the ideal place for a peaceful escape in a beautiful setting.

The place is located on top of the hill. It has been a pleasure to stay for a few nights at Federico's place. He has been really helpful when we asked questions, to find the place etc. It is a lovely family house. We did not test the jaccuzi because off season but I guess on sunny days it must be amazing. The view from the house is stunning.

We really enjoyed our holiday at cas nel bosco, the house is very quiet and close to nature. We liked that very much. The pool and the garden offer total relaxation. We already miss everything very much. In the valley it was often 32 degrees in the first week and upstairs in the house it was very pleasant. The pool was super refreshing. The house has everything you need and the small village of Medicina is very charming. The access road is narrow and very winding, but we also saw some wildlife. Communication with Francesca and Paola was straightforward and enquiries were answered immediately. Thank you very much, we had a great holiday.

I experienced wonderful days in this beautiful location, which reminded me of the summers I used to spend at my grandparents' house in the countryside. I only realized coming here how much I need to be able to completely switch off and let time just pass enjoying the fantastic views of the Alpi Apuane. That's how I chose to spend my days, but I note that there would be plenty of hiking or driving around to visit the picturesque villages nearby should one wish to explore the surroundings. The facilities were exactly what is required for a few day stay. The hosts (Laura and Silvio) were present when needed, otherwise they left us to enjoy the place. I enjoyed my conversations with them, and loved their pets. About the place itself, it was as described in the listing, and by previous reviews. I just note that in spite of the extreme heat (it is an anomalous year also in this idyllic place), the evenings were fresh and cool, and the temperature inside the cottage was perfect.

The host is great and beyond accommodating. The garden and pool area are a dream, much more beautiful and better in real life than in the pictures. You can highly recommend this place. The small village is super cute with good gastronomy.

Had a very nice time in an intimate and cozy house, which quickly became 'our' house. The cottage is located in the hills amidst olive trees and forest, although isolated but it does not feel that way. You easily forget the ballast of a busy life... Well worth it!

Amazingly peaceful. Such a great place to get out of the city. The only thing you hear is the river at the bottom of the valley.

The Castle Cottage is a cute appartment in Fosdinovo. You can really see that the hosts decorated it with love. They even thought of a starter set of some food and drinks. The surroundings of Fosdinovo are amazing, beautiful nature and so peaceful. There is a lot to do for nature lovers, and city lovers can visit the nearby towns at the sea. Fosdinovo itself is, at least off season, very quiet, so most suitable for people that are looking for a restful holiday. We had a wonderful time!

We had a lovely stay with friends (with teenagers) at Alberto's. The house is itself synonymous with vacation. The splendid view, the ideal location for visiting the 5 lands. We will keep a great memory of the breakfasts on the terrace at the end of October🤩

The cottage is beautiful, we felt comfortable immediately. It had everything you needed to live. The surroundings are enchanting and quiet, perfect to recover from stress in everyday life. We will be happy to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were lots of very good walks right from the front door with lots of wonderful wildflowers. We had recommendations for restaurants in both Tellaro and Lerici, which were very good and the bar on the harbour in Lerici was a frequent haunt.

Beautiful little house in the hills of Tuscany, out of sight and the crowds, with a sunny pool. The house is perfect for 4. We came with our 2 dogs who were happy to have a fenced ground. If you have to find a note, it would just take thicker curtains in the large room to have less sun in the morning. Everything was perfect. Thank you Ilaria

There is no need to use redundant words to say how much we enjoyed ourselves; it is evident that in Sandra's delightful little house everything has been arranged to make the stay of the guests as pleasant as possible. Cleanliness, amenities, location, parking space, tranquility of the area... and the list could go on and on; and then what about Sandra, a person of extraordinary radiance who welcomes her guests with a smile that is like a hug... thank you very much and congratulations, we hope to return!

Very nice house, tastefully renovated. Large garden ideal for children and evening aperitif, watching the sunset over the mountains in the distance. Very clean and very functional with everything you need for a great stay. The host family is very friendly and gave us good advice on sightseeing and restaurants to visit. Super

We enjoyed the house in Torre, as the first house in Tuscany it was wonderful to arrive with attention and pampering of Stefania and her mother and father. Close to Lucca, a great base. A private parking space and privacy. The communication was very good. A house to enjoy outside with all those outdoor terraces. Thank you. It was very nice!

The place was as described, a beautiful, quiet building. The area is indescribably beautiful and we have rarely found such a place. Marcella was likable and friendly. We really enjoyed our time here. The equipment was spotless.

Really a fantastic stay, even better than on the photos. Really everything present in the spacious house. No need to worry about bringing toys or baby stuff yourself. Also a lovely swimming pool and beautiful garden. Nice for little and a little bigger kids. The first time the narrow road to it is a bit exciting, but thankfully someone was driving with it. No problem after that. It's all very private and Lucca is nearby. We hope to come back sometime.
