Villa Soleil is a magnificent luxury 2-storey villa with 2 separate self-contained 1-Bedroom ground floor apartments in its grounds, and all share a lovely pool and private parking. Built 10 years ago, within 3-minutes’ drive of Holetown, on the West Coast, with its restaurants and shopping. The nearest beach is about a 10-minute walk (3-minute drive).
“This place is so so lovely, I’m so glad we stayed. The apartment itself is beautiful, with really high roofs, a super comfy bed - it’s just really cosy. The pool is great as well. We’d probably get a car if we stayed again, just because it is a little walk from the main road. Only 5 minutes or so but it can feel long when you have all your beach stuff. Some great restaurants close by ( literally just the end of the road on the walk to Holetown) and such easy access to the beach and bus stops for both directions. I would take a sleep mask if you like a dark room at bed time, as the bedroom was quite light, but still lovely. We loved it, June was so helpful.”
Relaxing Affordable, Comfortable, Quiet. Five minutes walk to popular beach, with famous JuJu's Beach-Bar and Lone Star Restaurant. Five minutes drive to Lime Grove in Holetown. Quiet neighbourhood and visitor friendly. Hired Car possible. Our place is good for families (with kids) and big groups.
“Joe and Caroline were wonderful hosts. They met us at the airport despite our very late arrival time, and in addition to drinking some of us they helped us get a taxi as well because all of our party and belongings would not fit in their car. They drove us back to the house, where Caroline had kindly stocked the fridge with a few things so we would be able to have a bit of breakfast before heading to the store the next morning. They were even very understanding when I told them a few days into our stay that we had accidentally broken a lamp in one of the bedrooms (which we reimbursed them for at the end of our stay). The house is lovely - plenty of space for our party of 5, and well-stocked with all necessities. (There is also an additional, totally separate apartment unit on one side of the house, which was empty for all but one or two days of our stay). The only *minor* complaint we had about the house was the lack of ceiling fans on the lower level. The weather was very warm when we were there (even by Barbados standards) and the provided standing fan just did not provide enough air circulation through the house during the day. As others have said, the house is just a few minutes walk from the beach/Jojo’s/Lonestar. It was the perfect location for our trip, with plenty of parking. The washer and dryer were an excellent perk, and the clothesline in the lovely yard with plenty of clothespins provided was fantastic. Overall a fabulous stay with fantastic hosts!”

“Celine's cottage was a great find! Besides the space being fresh and comfortable, there were several nice touches: a delicious rum punch, milk and juice for my little one, small groceries to get us started, daily cleaning services, fresh beach towels daily, and the pass to the Fairmont Beach Club. As a note, while the beach club offers water activities, these are paid extra. Martin was our host for the time we were visiting. He was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with! He went above and beyond, got us some fresh fish and took us to a secluded spot in Paynes Bay to swim with the turtles. He also told us about La Baguette, a small French bakery with delicious pastries just south the main road from the cottage. The airport transfer with Ronald worked perfectly. We ended up hiring him for other trips around the island. Ronald was extremely patient and polite, and a great conversationalist. He was also wonderful with my son, who loved his first tasting of a real coconut that Ronald brought for him! We loved enjoying breakfast on the veranda every morning and made friends with Charly, the sparrow (yes, we named him!) :) We saw a monkey crossing over the fence, and marvelled at the daily morning visits of the hummingbirds to the garden flowers! I'll definitely recommend Celine's cottage to others!”
