Places to stay in Ponta Delgada

Joao was a very responsive host. Pictures were accurate to the home and it was well-appointed. Easy check-in and great natural surroundings. Good launching spot for trips to western and central Sao Miguel.

We loved our stay at Casa Bela Vista! The view of the ocean is superb but my favorite view was the lush fields behind the home which you can see from the patio deck. Plenty of hot water for showers. Internet connection was perfect and the washing machine was a big plus. There is a beach within walking distance and the water was quite comfortable in November but there are fairly large waves. I already miss staying there and drinking my tea on the deck in the morning. Very enjoyable!!

Great location! Close to anything you could need and easy drives to several sights. It is up a hill so a little hike for folks if they have mobility issues. But we loved it. Would be nice to have 2 sets of keys so each couple could have their own. We didn’t mind using the lockbox but once another party was also using it we felt uncomfortable leaving them in there since our passports and luggage could then be accessed by people. We stayed a week, so would have been nice to get a couple extra towels, and there was not extra garbage bags (looked where the company said to find them but there was none) those little extra would have been nice but didn’t take away from the cleanliness and coziness of the condo. Gastronomo is down the road and an amazing spot for a meal.

Beautiful simple clean place with a great view and shower. Near a small road but with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Great host !!!

Great place just close enough to center it make it walkable, would recommend.

We had a great stay at Sara's. The apartment was perfectly located, very clean and had all the necessary amenities for our long stay there. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing time at Maria’s place and would recommend it to anyone staying on São Miguel. The location is perfect, close to Ponta Delgada and right on the seafront, you can literally walk from the back door into the sea in 2 minutes. We swam every day in November. It’s also easy to get around the island from there, the big sights are all less than 40 mins drive away. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was easy despite the fact that our flight was delayed by 18 hours(!), Carlos was there to meet us and explain everything and give us recommendations for what to do on the island. We didn’t want to leave and hope to be back as soon as we can!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It has beautiful natural surroundings and an amazing view from the deck/patio of the rolling hills with an amazing tile tub right outside. We had everything we needed in the tiny kitchen to make dinner and the breakfast we ordered that was delivered to our bnb was delicious! We appreciated that we could have a load of laundry done especially as we had been traveling for almost a week at that point and really needed clean clothes. We gave our clothes around 3pm and got them back washed, dried and folded by 8pm! Amazing service. Lastly, we got massages at the main house that were so relaxing and calming. We will definitely be back someday!
