Monthly Rentals in Playa Quimixto

Special place to stay and see the amazing sights when the tours are gone. We spent hours in the morning alone at the waterfall. The house is basic, but comfortable and the hosts are very kind. We look forward to returning.

Absolute paradise ❤️ We loved staying here in this private location and beautiful cabana. During the day you can relax outside the cabana and be right on the beach & in the evening once the day visitors leave, it is like having the entire place to yourself. We did some amazing activities during the day like hiking to Quimixto waterfall, snorkelling los arcos & having breakfast at Ritual on the next beach. As stated in the listing there are no shops nearby so stock up on food you want for the stay - otherwise there’s a range of resultants. The walk from the pier is a short distance but we were helped with our suitcases there and back. Pilar was an incredible host, super responsive, always helpful & went out of her way to make our stay a great one. Would love to come back asap 🥹❤️

We loved our stay at Villa Bambu! Check in was smooth, we just walked until we saw the red gates and her instructions were very helpful. The place is very clean and has a beautiful view of the jungle and the ocean beyond. It’s a great location being only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the town. I highly recommend Ariana’s place, she is a very responsive and accommodating host.

I am a solo traveller and Taty was reassuring and provided information regarding amenities and activities that were fun and safe. The pool is shared but I essentially had the pool to myself. The front deck provides a great view while enjoying your coffee but if you want to drink your coffee in the morning sun, the back deck is nice and private. The unit was clean comfortable and nicely stocked with supplies. I travelled in early March and mosquitos were not an issue, but I was behind the screen door by 9pm. The hot water takes a but to get warm. I was unaware and had a brisk shower after arriving :). Everything is close by and the city bus stop is at the end of the driveway (it's the last stop so no worries about missing your stop). There is a lot of noise: local loud music and traffic until 11 pm, jungle animals and dog barking at night, and birds and roosters in the morning. I slept through it all without ear plugs but light sleepers should pack ear plugs. I will be back!
