Vacation rentals with beach access in Platanias

Lovely two-room apartment close to a great sandy beach and services. A short trip to the center of Chania by car or bus. The location is calm and private, although there are hotels and other things nearby. The apartment had everything you needed for your stay. You can easily park the car by the street. Giorgos and his family were helpful and friendly hosts. We highly recommend their apartment 😊

We had an awesome week in Crete! The space was clean, with everything you need, and exactly as described and surrounded by olive trees, but what really made it special was the hospitality. They are absolutely excellent hosts, warm, responsive, and went out the extra mile to make us feel welcome! Truly rare form of hospitality that make us proud to be Greek. We will definitely come back. Εις το επανιδείν!

Been before. Love this place. Swim on the door step. Family run great welcome. It is beautiful and Georgio mum helped me with my tango dancing .. I was terrible !

Nantia and Kostas were lovely, thoughtful hosts who welcomed us with delicious home cooked treat. The apartment is conveniently located and fully stocked with everything that you need. There are also beautiful views from the property. A wonderful stay.

We had the best time staying at Tanja’s amazing studio. From the second we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful landscape of flowers and orange trees. The pool and patio were so peaceful and the studio was incredible clean and accommodating. The highlight of the stay was Tanja’s excellent recommendations of beaches, tavernas, and excursions. She was both incredibly friendly and communicative. We’d definitely stay again.

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

Excellent place to stay very safe very comfortable. Lots of restaurants close by as well as beaches. Everything is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend!! We came to Kalyves for some rest and relaxation and our stay at Avra apartments exceeded this expectation. The apartment was very clean, stocked with all the essentials plus some, and the terrace was the perfect place to start every day - we even arrived to some welcome gifts. Stelios was incredibly accommodating and responsive, quickly providing us with additional amenities, such as beach towels. Chania and its surrounding areas were amazing, but this accommodation really made it feel like home away from home. The whole trip was perfect thanks to Stelios’ help! Avra apartments exceeded our expectations in every way! Hope to come back soon!

Sometimes it’s such a cliché to say “the photos did not do it justice “ but this is one of those rare occasions when it really does apply.. The Villa Tile is the perfect place for a couple or small family and has everything within a few metres.. the beach literally is on you back door step, next door is a beach bar with a pool which you are welcome to use. The hosts went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us during our stay, even undertaking some emergency sewing and pillow adjustments when we said that the pillows were a little too firm for our liking… We are already planning to come back in May 2025 and hope to use the Villa Tile again.

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The location is quiet and has a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all a nice house for a relaxing holiday on the beach.

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was super clean and everything well maintained. Just felt right at home with an amazing view, great beds and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. We arrived quite late and were pleasantly surprised to find a cold bottle of wine waiting for us and all the amenities for us to have a late supper. The location was very charming close to the historic district of Chania and the story behind Hestia House added to our stay. Great location for walking and the nearby beaches were a stone throw away. The bedroom and bathroom were very bright and comfortable. If we return to Crete, Hestia House will certainly be our number one choice.

We had a wonderful & relaxing break. The location & outside space were amazing. The host was kind & generous. We will definitely come back. Thank you for all the little gifts.

we had a wonderful time in this apartment for 17 days in May / June 2025. The area is beautiful, a short distance away you can hike beautifully and in the evening you can look out over the mountains while eating. The apartment is spacious and cozy. The only downside is that there is only one gas burner for cooking. On the other hand, the hostess offers to cook for you (for a small fee) if you want. You should definitely do this because she cooks wonderfully. In addition, she is very caring and does everything to make you happy. Highly recommended!

Super clean, incredibly well-stocked, brilliant peaceful location on the water, thoughtful and responsive host. What more could you ask for? Our family of five had a wonderful time here and would definitely return. A great home with a terrific host!

What an amazing property near Chania! Our family absolutely loved the place, and the views cannot be beat. Being able to see the ocean and feel the warm breeze every morning on the balcony was so special. It was also very close to the Agia Marina and Platanias beach that we went to everyday; old town Chania was just 20mins away. Nikki was a great host and so responsive, she was able to answer all our questions. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

Our host was very careful for details, kitchen had all necessary stuff, fridge, etc. everything was clean. Host gift us welcoming gifts and that was lovely ❤️. Nice location, beach is close and you can go to supermarket in 10min on bus. And 25 min to Chania, bus stop is near. Living there was a pleasure.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

The place was perfect. It was clean and had everything we needed. It's very close to the beach and there are many shops nearby. The host Alkis was very polite and always answers within minutes if we needed anything. He went out of his way to help us when we needed a hand. Not to mention that he offered us a drive to the bus station.

This is really good (because it is difficult to find a parking space on the road nearby) This building is new and has a nice elevator The room is also very clean and cozy. It is fully equipped. There is also complimentary mineral water in the refrigerator. The bathroom has a full-length mirror. The bedroom has a makeup mirror. The hot water is very warm. The bedroom lights are also very bright. I like it here ~ You can hear a little bit of traffic from the bedroom, but it's acceptable. It's just that I'm a light sleeper, so I noticed this. Overall, I highly recommend this place

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

We felt very comfortable in Casa Maria. The apartment is well equipped and the location is central. The beach and city are a few minutes' walk away. Water, fruit and a sweet snack were available on arrival. Maria was very hospitable and gave us good tips for restaurants and a beach nearby. We definitely recommend Casa Maria!

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!
