Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Pickaway County

This was an amazing house. We loved the front porch. It was so close to everything. Very clean!!

The house was beautiful! Definitely need 4x4 to get back there though! Even with AWD we slid down the last hill before the house because of the snow/ice mixture. We did finally make it and had a wonderful weekend with friends! Beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake and to look out all day at the snow! Would love to make time to come back in the summer months!

Such a beautiful house to have the celebration of life for my lovely mom, and unexpectedly me and my boyfriend of 12 years decided to get married on the same day. It was so awesome thank you for everything you’re awesome I would rent it again and again and again. 🥰

We enjoyed our time at Xiaomei’s. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, but now our family is in several states. We booked the house so 6 of us could stay together and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal in a home setting. We ordered our meal; we did not cook at Xiaomei’s. We were very comfortable there! Some of my family walked through German Village and enjoyed a delicious meal at Schmidt’s. I recommend the area if you have a rental car as there is not much to do in walking distance. I did notice a bus stop pretty close to Xiaomei’s, so you may be able to take the city bus where you want to go. It would be worth checking.

Spacious, peaceful setting for a family gathering. Clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Close to Old Man’s Cave and the wonderful beauty of the State Park. We would enjoy returning to this property again.

We had a great stay! The home is spotless and very comfortable and I don't think we've ever had such a warm, kind, accommodating host! The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom updated and perfect, and kitchen had everything we needed. Only about 15-20 minute drive to Hocking Hills State Park. Tug allowed a late check in and relaxed check put, which we really appreciated! We will stay here again & recommend to others!

Brookside cottage was a magical experience in terms of its location. The creek the water running the woods. It’s just spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was clean. You had everything that you needed. Location was quite peaceful. It was everything that we wanted. I spent a mom’s weekend there with my daughter from Ohio University, and we also enjoyed the hot tub despite the rain.

Great location! SUPER clean house, and the decks are amazing with the fireplaces to hang out on. Thanks for the space!

Lovely place to stay; will be coming again. Clean, amenities were lovely, furniture design was aesthetically pleasing. Had a lovely time and Lancaster OH is a lovely town to tour!

I had a wonderful stay and Jessica was an excellent host! The apartment was very clean, the location is great access to the Columbus Commons and downtown. Jessica was super responsive to messages and provided clear and concise instructions! Very comfortable bed and the bathroom space was great! I would gladly stay again! This was a very clean, cozy, and quiet place to stay when we visited Hocking Hills! The inside was newly done with cute decorations. The outdoor area is a nice place to hang out, and we caught and released many fish in the pond. A great choice and value for our getaway!

One of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed in! Very clear instructions for easy check in and seemed like a decent safe neighborhood. As soon as you walk in, you can tell how clean it is kept. This place gave such a cozy vibe and the beds were super comfortable as well! So many essentials were provided and you can tell how much thought and effort was put into this place and the guests. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!

I had a wonderful stay! Nicole was incredibly responsive, helpful, accommodating, and kind throughout my trip. The location is perfect — walkable to so many great spots — and the pictures truly don’t do it justice. The place is absolutely adorable, cozy, and even better in person. I would definitely stay here again!

My family of 10 stayed here and we all had more than enough room and beds to be comfortable. The rooms were clean and neat. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. There is a microwave, fridge, air fryer, espresso machine, and coffee maker. The living room is a great place to relax with the natural light pouring in. The backyard was spacious and had a small putting area. We weren’t able to use the pool or jacuzzi bc it rained. Shampoo, body wash, and towels are provided. There are 6 bedrooms, one of which has 6 bunk beds. The only criticisms I have are there are only 3 bathrooms and you have to walk through the master bedroom to use one. You also have to walk through the basement bathroom to get to one of the bedrooms. The sauna is also very small and enough for 1-2 people at a time. Sherry was a responsive, proactive, and professional host. Our family was very satisfied with this stay.

Our stay at Shu’s place exceeded my expectations. We have a family of 7 with a Goldendoodle. Sometimes it is hard to please the entire group when booking. The house was spotless inside with great appliances. We were able to move flawlessly from inside modern features (pool table, movie room, air hockey, multiple TV’s, gaming systems, board games) directly outside to a feeling of solitude. Beautiful lake views sitting in the hot tub, kids making smores at the camp fire, and some family members fishing from the dock at the same time. We went to visit my daughter at Ohio University and to see Hocking Hills. It was the perfect location between the two. Easy 5 min trips to Walmart for anything forgotten. Bait shop 2 min away from the property. A cool coffee shop out of an airstream 2 min away. It was special to feel so alone in nature but be so close to anything that we needed. To top it all off, schedules changed and Shu was able to provide us with a late checkout. GREAT LAUNDRY as well!

Great location - the view of the lake was spectacular. We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub and the accommodations. Perfect girls' getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay, the place was beautiful and has all the amenities to just stay in and enjoy! Plus, the pizza place recommended does delivery! The heated pool was a big hit with all the guests, and there were more than enough provided pool towels. The host is extremely quick to respond and so helpful. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and we hope to come back again soon!!

We had the pleasure of staying in this incredible Villa last weekend. The Villa was one of the cleanest and nicest we have ever stayed in. The hot tub was very clean and the private fire pit area was perfect for the cool nights. It is also very convenient to all of the hikes that Hocking Hills State Park has to offer. We would highly recommend staying here or any of the other villas the Hugga in the Hills has to offer!
