Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ohio

We greatly enjoyed our stay here over the holidays. The house is warm and inviting. It has very unique characteristics. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc., which is most appreciated by a family that prefers to dine in. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint would be that the house is rather dark, even with all the lights on and figuring out how to work the lamps/lighting is somewhat challenging. We would still recommend and would stay again. It is convenient to pretty much everything in the Beavercreek area. I imagine the porches and yard are very nice/enjoyable in the warmer months.

This was our second stay at the Gorilla House and once again it did not disappoint. The house was super clean, the owner reached out to us before and after check in with clear instructions, and everything was in good working order. The space worked perfectly for our needs and we'll definitely return again.

Very neat unique place. Very comfortable place, thoughtfully supplied with kitchen, bedroom, living room stuff. Well thought out for host's guests. Books, CD's, games, tv and movies, etc... Rented while it was cold out but place would be even better in the warmer weather to enjoy the decks more. Very good host and responsive. Really enjoyed the stay.

The house was beautiful! We never left the house on Friday but felt like there was plenty to do! The pool table was a plus that we didn’t expect! Loved the media room and table to play games! Most definitely a place to stay!

We loved staying at this little house! So clean. We’ve rented houses all over and this place had the things that make renting nice. Good towels - very clean bathroom. Amenities in the kitchen like spices and coffee. The furniture was comfortable. Nice outside spaces too. I hope we can stay here again in the future.

John was a great host, we were so grateful for his kindness and opening up his home! It was beautiful, full of art, and extremely peaceful. I highly recommend a stay here next time you are in Athens!

This is the second year we have stayed here. The house is perfect for what we need and Caitlin has always been so helpful with anything we need.

We enjoyed our time at Xiaomei’s. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, but now our family is in several states. We booked the house so 6 of us could stay together and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal in a home setting. We ordered our meal; we did not cook at Xiaomei’s. We were very comfortable there! Some of my family walked through German Village and enjoyed a delicious meal at Schmidt’s. I recommend the area if you have a rental car as there is not much to do in walking distance. I did notice a bus stop pretty close to Xiaomei’s, so you may be able to take the city bus where you want to go. It would be worth checking.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. I will definitely book it again!

The stay was very cozy and private in a nice neighborhood with lots of room to park. This room is in the basement of a home and it was very spacious for the two of us. We felt very comfortable here and definitely recommend to any duo looking for a nice comfy spot in the quiet town of toledo.

We had the most wonderful time and we felt treated like royalty. Susan welcomed us to a kitchen full of goodies (fancy ones) and Christmas stockings! We already miss her place, everything was perfect! Thank you, Susan and Charlotte!

This is a tastefully-furnished and spacious apartment in the Clifton, a historic residential neighborhood near the University of Cincinnati, centrally located, about a 15-drive from downtown Cincinnati. The first-floor apartment was immaculate; the Craftsman-style furnishing and decor had character. There's a nice-sized dining room with a large table. The kitchen is updated and modern. Spacious bedroom, with a huge comfortable bed. On-street parking was readily available. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I will put in a plug for a gourmet bakery, Two Seven Two Bakery, that is about a 10-minute walk away, near Clifton and Ludlow Avenues, where there are also some other coffee and dining options. Overall, this was a definite step up, comfortable, polished and with historic character -- nothing generic.

Lisa and Brice were perfect hosts. The place was great, especially the hot tub. A quiet and peaceful getaway!

this place was more than enough for the short trip. a well kept home with nice neighbors and it's close to plenty to do. The major road is a few blocks away and a short distance from downtown to enjoy the city and beyond. I would recommend this comfortable place to anyone who wanted to vacation in the city while not being IN the city. The hosts were kind and prompt in messaging which made for a good time as well.

What a wonderful place to stay for the week! Stacey went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. The house is in a great location for neighborhood walks and not too far from the village full of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

Sherry was a wonderful host and extremely responsive. She was so helpful in making sure we felt at home and that our experience was memorable for our family celebration. The location was great for those who want to be near The Ohio State campus and we felt very safe. Our guests had a great hot tub every morning and we enjoyed cooking for our large group in the kitchen. Sherry made it so easy and was always available in real time, so it was a wonderful experience for us all. We would highly recommend this property and have wonderful memories of our family time together there.

We had a fantastic time at Valley View! The kids never wanted to leave. the weather wasn't great so they didn't play outside on the pickleball court, but they were so busy in the game room it didn't matter! I honestly thought they'd be in the pool the whole time but the game room was so fun, they spent most of their time playing. The house had plenty of space for all 16 of us and our 2 dogs! We were very comfortable and there were local food places where we could order in and let the kids keep playing as much as they wanted! In the photos online it looks like the bunk room doesn't have a door to close it off but it DOES have a barn style door to close that gives it some privacy. That was a nice surprise! The only disappointment was that the dogs aren't allowed to swim in the pool. However with the long, shared driveway, the fenced in basketball/ pickleball court, and spacious house they had plenty of opportunities for daily exercise! Everyone was exhausted each night from the fun!

My wife and I booked this villa for a last minute weekend getaway and had a great time. The house and surrounding area is beatiful and peaceful. Check in and out was a breeze. We would recommend this location to anyone who is interested and would consider coming back in the future ourselves.

This property is beautiful! Even though my family and I were in town for a funeral this place made us feel right at home. We also appreciated Brett for coming to pick up a stray cat because some of my family members are terrified of cats. He was the best host I've ever had thus far! Thanks for everything!

Absolutely beautiful. We were provided everything we needed which was helpful since most stores were operating on Christmas hours. Our host Leon was prompt in response. The entire place was cleaned and the Bibles in every room made it seem so much like home. My family and I appreciate the hospitality and enjoyed our stay very much. I would definitely recommend for large groups and we will more than likely book again being as tho we always travel for Christmas

We had an absolutely extraordinary stay at this exquisite, secluded mansion with our extended family. The snowfall added an enchanting, almost ethereal atmosphere to the entire experience, amplifying the joy and excitement, especially for our small children, who eagerly participated in the fun of playing in the snow. The host thoughtfully provided sleds, which made the snowy adventure possible & even more enjoyable. The property was impeccably maintained, and we were catered to with an abundance of amenities. The hosts ensured that the driveway was consistently cleared of snow, allowing for seamless access throughout our stay. There was no shortage of space – with an abundance of comfortable beds, bedrooms, and inviting areas to spread out, everyone was able to enjoy their privacy while also coming together in comfort. The property itself is a breathtaking masterpiece. We are immensely grateful to the hosts for their unparalleled hospitality. We look forward to our soon return!
