“My husband and two dogs and I had an amazing time at Beth’s place. Beth and her husband Richard went above and beyond in making sure we were happy and provided lots of recommendations of what to see in the community and surrounding areas. Throughout the entire process, Beth was thorough and responsive and the WiFi was strong enough for me to work remotely with video conferencing. The home itself was sparkling clean and decorated very nicely, modern yet rustic. There were extra blankets, pillows, laundry detergent, grilling equipment, kitchen appliances and condiments which made us feel right at home. The home has a huge backyard that our dogs enjoyed playing with a creek where they were able to actually jump in and cool off. Across the street is a large park with a baseball field and place to fish. There are grocery stores less than 10 minutes away yet the home itself was secluded and completely private if you want the best of the both worlds. Added bonus: They even did more than they needed to do when my husband had gotten a flat tire. The family and their friends came to the home to spend hours fixing his car themselves with no added fees or expecting anything in return. The hospitality they showed us was levels above a five star rating. If we ever come back to this area we would not hesitate to stay in Beth and Richard’s home.”
Welcome to Frog Stomp. It's a private guest house nestled in the woods. We affectionately call it Frog Stomp because our neighbors have a pond and during the summer there are hundreds of baby tadpoles that are make their way around the guesthouse. So if you are scared of little tiny frogs, this is not the place for you. Frog Stomp is 1BR 1BA. It has a kitchen with fridge, stove, and kurieg coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower. The bedroom has a Queen sized Sealy memory foam and a toddler bed
“Our stay was fantastic and we loved being able to see all the tiny frogs hopping around! The hosts left blueberry muffins for us to enjoy and a Netflix/Hulu account for us to enjoy when the kids went to sleep. They were very accommodating and we will definitely stay again if given the chance!”
Halfway between (1hr.) Huntsville and (1 hr.) Birmingham, about 13 minutes off the Interstate and from the city of Cullman, you'll find a long winding drive through the woods, leading to a quiet cottage located on a farm, where you can relax and unwind from it all.
“We are from Minnesota and stayed here on our way to Florida, after a 13-hour drive from Omaha. It was easy to find, and there was a dollar store we stopped at on our way (maybe five or ten minutes away?) where we got breakfast ingredients. Parking is conveniently close to the front door, which we appreciated because it was raining when we arrived. The whole place was very clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable, and being rural, the overall setting was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the washer and dryer worked well. We really enjoyed visiting with the two puppies and three cats outside (John said he could bring them away, but we declined). Overall this was a great stop for our family. We arrived exhausted but left the next morning feeling well rested and ready for the final leg of our trip.”
