Family Cabin with Rustic and Modern Charm

LizmeiriRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everything was excellent, very central to everything and easy to find. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, everything was within reach in the kitchen, the only detail was that there was no drainer when washing the dishes, but nothing that could not be solved. Maryan was in contact with me at all times. I would definitely come back.
A charming farmhouse style exterior is illuminated by warm lights during twilight. The building features a steep roof and multiple gabled dormers. Stone steps lead up to a balcony with railing, surrounded by well-maintained landscaping that includes grass and boulders.

Unique eco friendly cabin in mid cloudforest

HilaryRating, 5 stars16 months ago
If you are looking for a rustic and remote setting surrounded by cloud forest and fabulous birds, then this is the place for you. My adult son, husband and I spend two nights at the cabana. There is abundant space, the kitchen is very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. We brought all our own food (don't plan on going to the lodge to eat - it's a very long walk) and enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen. The best part was being in the middle of the cloud forest. There is another casita nearby, but no one was staying there. There are a couple of maintained trails near the cabana, and we enjoyed some hikes. We had rented a Tucson, but were glad to get a ride in and out in the lodge's Land Cruiser - it's a rough drive in. Common birds around the cabin included 4 hummingbird species, yellow-thighed finches, collared redstarts, blue gray thrushes, black-faced solitaires, & many more. Saw a puma track on a hike. A kinkajou visited at night and raided the hummingbird feeders.
An A-frame cabin is set in a natural landscape, featuring a unique triangular roof and large glass windows. A stone walkway leads to the entrance, framed by greenery and rocky terrain, with tall trees visible in the background.

Wilson Bridge Cabin

My family of 4 stayed at Susam’s A frame while we were waiting to move into our new home. Susam was very Accommodating and responsive. We needed more towels and they were provided right away. I can’t say enough good things about our our stay. It was in a great , quiet location on the rio caldera. My kids even spent a day in the beautiful river. The house was Spotless and had coffee , cook top, plates, stove & and everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend Susam’s place for anyone who wants to be close to town, yet in a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

A cozy house in Las Tinajas

MartinRating, 5 stars2 months ago
When you first arrive at Lulu’s Tropical Ranch you will be immediately drawn to the beauty of the landscape, very well cared for of tropical trees and plants. The casita is a very comfortable cabin of perfect size the two bedroms have very comfortable beds, the kitchen is stock with all the amenities for a long stay, the bathroom has a very nice large shower with hot water, if there is anything that you need Lulu is there and will make sure you are taken good care of. The ranch is set back off the main road which provides peaceful mornings and restful nights. Mornings can be spent on the large covered porch as you watch and listen to the tropical birds as you enjoy your morning coffee. Traveling around was not difficult as I did not have a car, walking to the main road was within 8 minutes for a bus or taxi to your destination and back, Lulu can also drive you around when her time allows, she is a very busy lady, but always has time for your needs. I enjoyed my stay very much.

The cabin is supremely practical for sleeping, lounging, and enjoying the surroundings, including the Restaurante Granito de Oro that stands from the eye to the eye and serve wonderfully. We did not leave the restaurant. Otherwise, beds, living room, kitchen and great location, we were able to sleep at ease and rest. Except for the wind on the night that raised a zinc leaves from some neighboring house, but with the tiredness, I noticed him when I was going to get up. Everything was great.
A shaded outdoor balcony features sturdy wooden railings and a bench, offering a view of the lush greenery surrounding the property. A telescope is positioned on one side, inviting exploration of the scenic landscape.

A nice cabin in the middle of the woods.

HannoRating, 5 stars27 months ago
The place is wonderfully original. Furnished a bit like grandma's home, but it fits well with the location in the middle of nature. A few small spiders stayed with us. That's part of it. It was outstanding in the morning. Right in the garden we could watch hummingbirds, various other birds and even monkeys. The contact with Evy Lany and Armando was excellent. Always available and super kind and personable. We were only there one night, but would have liked to have stayed longer.
A two-story house with a light yellow exterior and a brown roof is surrounded by a well-kept lawn. The upper level features balconies with wooden railings, while the lower level has stone accents. A car is parked near the entrance, adding convenience for guests.

Mariham's little house

PeterRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Nicolas and his family were great and helpful, and introduced us to some local foods. Our kids enjoyed playing with his daughter. We intend to go back next time we want to stay in the Volcan/Barú area. It was close to a Panadaria that people drive from Volcan (8 minutes) to get their baked goods from, we enjoyed breads & other baked goods as well as pepperoni pizza multiple times. Volcan is a short drive away. The Cerro Punta bus stop is close by and we used that to take the bus to David (and Panamá city), and could have used it to go to Volcan but we drove our own vehicle when we went there. The municipal water failed at one point, Nicolas was very proactive in helping us, showing how to use (carefully-we were 7 people) the reserve water tank while waiting for the municipality to fix it. The municipality 'temporarily' fixed it twice before fixing it for good, and he was quick to let us know so we could run a load through the washing machine when there was water beyond reserve tank.
A single-story home is set against a backdrop of vibrant greenery. A wide driveway leads to the carport, sheltering two vehicles. The exterior features a combination of beige and purple walls, and the lawn is well-maintained, with various plants visible along the edge.
