1 week ago"Light-filled" apartment was very bright throughout our stay. Host, Warren, was very responsive and helpful. Check-in was easy and convenient. Very clean! Great location near parks and town. Free parking on the street was never an issue. Things to note: ~Place was as described, but pics are a little dated. There are only two (wobbly) bar chairs there now (best for the kiddos), and the accent chairs are fabric, not leather. Bed has been updated and is firm and comfortable. ~Really missed having a dishwasher-there isn't one (though none is indicated in the listing-I missed this). Water in sink takes some time to get hot to wash those dishes! ~Window unit ACs were loud, but adequate for cooling. Worked better in tandem with ceiling fans. ~Vibe of shared space felt uncomfortable at first, but the place is completely quiet, and we didn't feel disturbed at all during our stay. ~Stairs are steep! ~Convenient laundry room with extra towels and sheets right next door!

2 weeks agoAlthough the surrounding neighborhood is nice and seemed safe, I would have been nervous to stay there alone. The apartment is quite nice, but the building is kind of dumpy and security was minimal, including a very wobbly deadbolt on the apartment door, which is right at the top of the steps. Warren responded quickly that the building is safe and they have had no problems, but I would recommend a sturdier lock.

2 weeks agoCheck-in was easy and parking was always available, which made everything really convenient from the start. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for a short stay. The apartment itself is comfortable but a bit dated in a few areas. You can hear some outside noise, and the window A/C units are pretty loud when they’re running, though it didn’t really take away from the stay. The bathroom window is something to be aware of, it’s frosted but you can still make out silhouettes from outside when people walk by, so it may feel a little less private than expected. Very odd design. The front door handle also felt a bit loose and could probably use replacing. Overall, it was a convenient and functional place that worked well for a short stay, especially if you’re mostly out during the day.
