This cottage is ideally located for exploring the Lake District, Arnside/Silverdale AONB, Leighton Moss and Yorkshire Dales. The settlement of Hilderstone can be traced back to the 13th century. The barn was built originally in c1750. There is still a working farm as part of the 200 acre Hilderstone Farm. A great base for outdoor activities.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Aughton is a scenic village situated on the banks of the lune valley leading up to the market Town on Kirby Lonsdale. Walks from the village allow you to saunter along the banks of the river lune or through the picturesque Burton and Lawson woods belonging to the woodlands trust often known as Aughton woods. Aughton also has an beautiful old village church going back to 1864 and a recreation hall and children's play area.

In addition the attractions of Kirkby Lonsdale, the historical city of Lancaster and RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss are only 15-20 minutes away. Gressingham is a small, picturesque village and makes the perfect location for walkers, cyclists and those wanting a country break.

Yealands is a fairly new site surrounded by planted trees with water features for the local ducks and other water fowl. We are opposite the main village where the restaurant, gym and pool are located. The Yealands is a quieter site, perfect for relaxing after a long day visiting the many local attractions. The Studio consists of a living space with sofa bed, separate kitchen, downstairs toilet & shower room, and a large characterful bedroom upstairs with two single beds. The Servants Wing is situated within the the Stunning and Imposing Claughton Hall. The views from the property over the Lune Valley from an elevated hilltop position are spectacular. The Fenwick Arms gastro pub is a short 12minute walk away at the bottom of the private driveway. Whilst adjoining the main house the accommodation offers a great deal of privacy and includes a separate entrance & private outdoor area.
