Cottage vacation rentals in Outer Banks

Had a great stay at Maria and Steve's! Place was clean and as listed. Only tricky part was the house is across the highway from the beach access which meant having to drive and find parking or cross a very busy road.

Even with all the rain during our beach week, we had a great time at this dog-friendly cottage. The screened-in porches made catching up with family outside bug free. Nice pool, corn hole and hammock were nice to have as well. Short walk down quiet unpaved street to beautiful beach. So many restaurants & activities nearby!

This place has it all! Nicely placed so it’s a quick 3-5 min walk to the downtown area and a quick 5 min walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. Absolutely no worries about cleanliness. The house itself has so much and is an oasis to hang at away from the beach. We had two perfect beach days and one rainy day. Usually we’d go stir crazy on a rainy day and hunt for something to do, but the pool, hot tub and house kept us entertained. Only regret is we didn’t book a longer stay, but next time we will! Thank you for a fabulous time at Donald Duck’s Beach House.

We had a great stay at Kimberlys place. She was extremely awesome at communicating throughout the process. The house met and exceeded all of our expectations. Would highly recommend!

We rented the place for the OBX car show, and it didn't disappoint! The location was perfect, right in the middle of all the action, and we felt like we had our own private retreat at the end of the day. The homes come with everything we need and are clean and well-kept. On top of that, Joe provided a lot of great information about the area, including activities and places to visit and eat. Highly recommend!!!

The Mann Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, it was quiet and it was just right. Steve and Judy provided a great place to stay for our first trip to OBX!

The space was thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. Great location, peaceful surroundings, and excellent communication from the host throughout. We’d definitely love to come back!

So glad this listing was available definitely exceeded my expectations. It’s hard to find a home so accommodating to the fur babies. I was floored walking into a clean home fully stocked with all the amenities plus. It was like staying in a hotel with the feeling of being at home. Hands down the best beach stay ever totally recommend and hopefully I get that chance to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay! The description was accurate and Danielle provided everything that we needed for our trip to go easy. She communicates so well and the house is beautiful with an easy walk to the beach.

We absolutely loved our stay in southern shores! This lovely cottage is a 2 min stroll to the beach on a quiet dead end road and a 10 min bike ride into the town of duck! We enjoyed the peaceful beach as well as the wonderful screened in porch to start and end each day! The beach toys and bikes were a great addition! We can’t wait to come back for another visit!

This cottage was SO cute. It is in a good location with a very short walk across the street. The street is not super busy because it’s not the main busy road going through town. The cottage was clean, comfortable beds, shower amenities provided and even coffee pods. Sarah was SO nice and responsive to questions we had. We would stay here again.

We had a great stay. The house was great and in a great location. It was an easy walk to the beach and a great location. There was a pier close and lots of things to do. I would definitely recommend it to others and hope to go back there again.

Lovely place. Easy to get to, and close to all the attractions. Super-responsive hosts helped us quickly with a couple minor questions. A great getaway. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful vacation in the 4 x 4 area of Carova Beach-saw lots of wild horses and it was so much fun to drive on the beach. It was very natural and we enjoyed it very much. Very restful and relaxing-it was a bit off season-sure it’s much more active between Memorial and Labor Day-there is only a two lane road into Corolla-so allow plenty of time on season

This place was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy Memorial Day weekend with friends! Clean, clutter free, and the hot tub was awesome for an early morning soak or late night kick back. About a 15 minute walk from the beach and located in a quiet neighborhood. Also, very short 1-minute drive to large grocery stores. The hosts were communicative and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if visiting OBX.

We had an excellent stay as a group of 8 adults. The home offered great access to a semi-private beach, just a short 5-minute walk away. Kendra was proactive and clear with her instructions, making check-in and our overall experience smooth and stress-free. The neighborhood was very quiet, providing a relaxing atmosphere, yet still conveniently located with shops just a short drive away. After long days at the beach, the hot tub was a refreshing bonus. This home is perfect for both families and adult groups—highly recommended!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The patio is incredible, it goes up above the roof where you can see the ocean. The walk to the beach is short, but you do either have to use stairs or go up a steep hill to access it. That was fine for us, but could see it being a challenge for the less able bodied. The surrounding neighborhood is cute and is very quiet which we appreciated, and is nearby to a lot of great restaurants. It’s not very walkable but very quick drive to anything you need. Only negative was we thought there would be bikes but there weren’t any (as far as we could find) but that was ok, we still had a great time! We would definitely stay again.

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay with our family and dogs at Allison’s place! It was so clean, especially for being dog friendly. We decided to drive to the beach and it was less than 2 minutes away. We enjoyed being able to walk our dogs around the neighborhood on the sound side. Can’t wait to come back and stay!
