5* Wheat Cottage, with private covered hot tub

LynneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely stay in this peaceful area. The views from the hot tub were sensational, you will never want to get out! Our dog settled early (which doesn’t always happen!) which tells you something about how homely it is. You can hear sometimes hear noise from your neighbours, but when we went everyone was considerate, so nothing that bothered us in any way. A lovely find.

We really enjoyed our stay with Emma, maybe a little too much 😁 just as described, very warm and welcoming, a lovely host, we had a few little extras waiting for us on arrival which were great also😊spoils in form of mulled wine, we managed to pick the day when storm dharra rolled through, so made a challenge to get to see Emma and arrive on time at our location, fallen trees made it difficult that day, but it was exceptional, Emma was even good enough to offer a refund before, but we went for it 🤣 and sat in a lovely hottub, and watched the storm roll in, drank too much red wine of course, balance the grief trying to get there, moved a few trees physically to get there but made it ❤️ we loved it though, would love to go again if emma would have us again, we did make a bit of racket, for which i hope it wasn't too much trouble, just letting off the steam 😁 thanks emma it was great, and loved the dough, perfect 😍🙏👍 take care speak soon hopefully, Carl 😁

Viki and Kevin were thoughtful hosts, having the fire ready for us on arrival and leaving a welcome supply of breakfast treats. The house is truly stunning (the pictures don't do it justice), spacious, well equiped and perfect for a multi generational family weekend. The pool table was a surprise and really fun addition. There is a lovely walk around the quarry opposite if you can tear yourself away from the house. We may well be back!

Ploony cottage

ElsbethRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We stayed at Ploony Cottage this week. The cottage offers a relaxing getaway in the heart of the Randorshire countryside. The location provides stunning views down the valley, with the sounds of streams and wildlife, uninterrupted by the noise of traffic, adding to the tranquility of this location in the hills of Bleddfa. The fun of the track on the way up to the cottage helps set a slow pace for the holiday. The cottage and its garden offer the opportunity to cozy up inside or make the most of the amazing aspects the garden offers, with direct access to the lower and upper parts of the track. Here, walks and hiking up the bridleway offer stunning scenery. Our young Vizsla pup was in her element in these surroundings. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful in the heart of the countryside, then we'd highly recommend a stay at Ploony Cottage. To top it off, Lindsey and Darren couldn't be more kind and helpful, setting the tone for a super relaxing stay.

A gem of a place. The setting and views were amazing,a feeling of being remote, with the convenience of short drive to shops and electric car charging in Wrexham. The cottage had everything we needed and was immaculately cleaned with perfect welcome pack(thanks for Anne’s delicious bara brith). The beds were incredibly comfortable with gorgeous quality bedding. Ruth and Alan were welcoming and hospitable. No hesitation in recommending and we certainly intend to visit again.
