Heated Pool, Gym, A/C - weekly/monthly discounts

WendyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed for a week and the house was so inviting. We loved the layout! It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed and lots of essentials provided by the host. Checkin was easy, and any communication with Ron was responded to very promptly. The deck was great, allowing us to hear the birds down by the water while enjoying the warm (ish) spring days. My only regret is that the pool was not open yet for the season. Will definitely return!

Acadian Home - Baie Sainte Marie

MalleryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place had everything and then some. A full kitchen with every thing you would need to cook with a dishwasher. More than enough towels which was nice for our long stay. Washer & Dryer on site, dryer takes a bit long but it beats having to go to a laundromat. Extra sheets, blankets and pillows if required. We had our 2 boys (5 and 3) and they had enough room to play, and the bedroom upstairs has a closet with toddler beds which they loved “their playhouse”. The owners live next door, so I knew if I needed anything, they would be able to support us. There is a Tim Hortons up the street and several restaurants (keep note that places close early), Yarmouth isn’t too far away if you want to get out.

The house was exactly like the pictures, very clean and modern. Property is quiet and peaceful with a large yard for the boys to play. We even got to fly a kite. Perfect private location, in the middle of nowhere but close to everything. Excellent value!

"Across the Way" 3-Bedroom Country Home

DaveRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay at Eric and Jenny’s. Beautiful new’ish build close to lots that the valley has to offer (Cape Split, Port Pub, Sea Level and Huntley’s - beef jerky FTW - all nearby). Fully equipped kitchen, great shower space, board games for family fun, cute patio (too windy during our stay to enjoy fully) and lots more. In addition to strongly recommending this rental, thought it would be useful to also recommend the monthly kids night at the nearby Nordic spa (Salt Air)… ours loved it. Thanks for the stay.!

Ocean front, beach house retreat!

SarahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
There aren’t words to describe how perfect our week was at Cara & Jeff’s! The house is so cute with all the amenities (and comfy beds!) that you could need. The pictures don’t do the views justice! The beach was perfect, hardly ever saw another person on the beach. The house was so ideal for a fall getaway with our dog who absolutely LOVED the property & the beach! I also ran into Jeff on one of my morning walks and he couldn’t have been sweeter! I cannot recommend this place enough and we will 100% be back!!

Beach House Oasis

Tracey’s place is magnificent and was the perfect spot for us to enjoy the area from. We enjoyed the nearby beach and ice cream spot, as well as Sherbrooke Village and more. The home has a well appointed kitchen and the shower is spacious. The 3 season screened in porch was a special place to spend time with friends and family.

Wittie’s Landing - Home in Cherry Hill NS

JaimiRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We enjoyed a family weekend at Arin and Tobias' for my sons 19th birthday celebration. Their home is spacious, clean and both hosts are accomodating, friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed in a beautiful home with equally beautiful surroundings. We seal watched at the rocky unkept beach close by, there were several seals right next door. Some of the brave ones even swam at Cherry Hill beach in cold temperatures just a 15 minute walk from this air bnb (beautiful walking or swimming beach!) Highly recommend them for a comfortable and peaceful stay!

Bear River Historic 1800s Farmhouse on Vineyard

Carol AnnRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Our group was extremely happy to find this gem for accommodations for the Wharf Rat Rally! We had 3 1/2 couples in our group and there was plenty of room for all of us and our gear. It is located realtively close to Digby and the ride to and from was absolutely wonderful! We were happy to find plenty of rooms, a fully stocked kitchen, 2 spacious bathrooms and a diningroom large enough to fit us all. The property and views were beautiful as well. It was a great place to relax after a long day of riding. Last but not least, our hosts were amazing! They made sure our stay was the best! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Cozy Cabin with Large Cedar Hot Tub

AlexandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a beautiful place!! Gorgeous & very cute cabin with all the necessary amenities. Hot tub with the wind screen was a particular favourite. The fact that this place accepted dogs was so wonderful & helpful, but be careful as this place is directly on a very active ATV trail. We had our dogs collared & leashed, tied up on the property, but had some difficulties with people walking along the ATV trail with unleashed dogs who would just run over. No fault at all on the property owner, just an FYI if you're bringing along your doggos! the ATV trail IS essentially the property driveway. Regardless of this, we had a blast, enjoyed being right on the river, and would book again in a heartbeat (would just be a bit more prepared for dog interactions!). Fantastic interaction with the property management company

Your guide to Nova Scotia

All About Nova Scotia

Surrounded almost entirely by the Atlantic Ocean on Canada’s upper east coast, Nova Scotia boasts more than 8,000 miles of coastline with stretches of sandy beaches and scenic fishing towns. The province is home to three national parks, including the historic Kejimkujik National Park and its Dark Sky Preserve, and more than 150 lighthouses — most notably the famous Peggy’s Cove. Nova Scotia plays host to the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, where you can hike, bike, and drive along an epic 180-mile journey through vibrant landscapes and villages. Five UNESCO World Heritage Sites are located here, including the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, with rare fossils from the Coal Age.

Nova Scotia’s capital is Halifax, a cosmopolitan metro area with a 2.5-mile waterfront boardwalk filled with shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Its impressive star-shaped citadel sits on a hill above the city. Seafood lovers will be drawn to the town of Digby for its world-famous scallops, to Hubbards for the mouthwatering lobster, to Mahone Bay for the mussels.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia experiences a moderate climate, rarely getting extremely hot or cold weather. Summer is a great time to stay in one of the many vacation rentals in the province, with plenty of sunny days to enjoy the beach and outdoors. In spring and autumn, you can expect a mix of pleasant and rainy days, so make sure you pack for both. Winter is a magical time to be in Nova Scotia, with snow covering the hills. In late November, the annual Sherbrooke Village Old Fashioned Christmas event features an opening-night tree lighting, fireworks, and plenty of holiday entertainment. You can expect cold conditions, so make sure you prepare with your best waterproof layers, boots, and thermals.

Top things to do in Nova Scotia

The Cabot Trail

Consider setting off on a scenic journey along one of Canada’s most famous driving routes. The 180-mile trail takes in spectacular coastal views, small villages, and lush forests on Cape Breton Island. The roads wind around strategically placed lookout points with breathtaking overlooks. You can make the journey in a day or take your time and stop at villages along the way to enjoy local galleries, shops, and restaurants specializing in the region’s famous seafood. There are also countless hiking and biking opportunities along the trail.

Kejimkujik National Park

Explore the park on one of 15 hiking trails, including the 3.5-mile Hemlocks and Hardwoods trail. Along a boardwalk through a lush forest, you’ll pass by 400-year- old trees. The park is also dotted with red deck chairs placed at special locations to soak up the beauty. The idea is to find the chairs and use them to connect with the natural surroundings. Kejimkujik is also Nova Scotia’s only Dark Sky Preserve, and when the sun goes down, the skies light up with thousands of glittering stars.

Peggy’s Cove

You’ll find one of Nova Scotia’s most scenic locations just 40 minutes from Halifax, with the main attraction being the famous lighthouse on the rocks, one of Canada’s most photographed sights. The lighthouse restaurant and souvenir shop are worth a visit, and hiking trails around the rocks offer amazing views of the spectacular coastline.
