It was a beautiful place to stay for a weekend to unwind. When we first arrived, there was a challenge that was beyond Renee and Tim's control -- the power went out in the surrounding area. They handled it well to make sure we had what we needed and we ended up having a very good weekend.

It was perfect for a get away from city life. Quiet and peaceful,great view from the deck, beautiful sunsets. The inside was open and spacious. Kitchen fully stocked. we definitely recommend this cottage. Nothing but praise for Taylor and the cottage.

Yet again, another enjoyable stay at Betty-Jo's lovely home in the nicest part of town. My wife and I have stayed at many BnB's in and around North Sydney over the past few years, and we feel Betty-Jo's is easily the best value for the money. Highly recommended.

This place is just as described. Unfortunately the bad temperature did not allow us to enjoy the two highlights of the accommodation, the private beach a few minutes' walk away and the veranda.

It was the perfect home base for 4 days of touring Cape Breton. Perfectly located to drive the Cabot Trail in either direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise) and we did both. Convenient, comfortable, and cozy for our family trip. Communication was superb, with John providing thorough info not only about the guest house, but also providing great insight into the area. Pat met us upon arrival and showed us around the guest house. Couldn't ask for better location or hosts. Thanks for a helping make a great family vacation for us!

We had a wonderful time at this cottage and it really does- easily- sleep 8! My husband and I, our adult children and their significant others as well as our 3 grandchildren were very comfortable! We cooked easily in the kitchen and the BBQ worked well. We enjoyed the very clean and well maintained pool, playground and arcade. We even used the washer and dryer. We had guests over for a big supper and had tables and chairs for all. It's only 8-9 minutes to cavendish - Shining Waters, Anne of Green Gables and only 30 minutes to Charlottetown. Chandra and Paul are very attentive and we felt very safe. Loved it!

The inn strikes the perfect balance between modern updates and historical preservation. It has retained its quaint, antique charm without sacrifing reasonable comfort and convenience. As with any heritage building, if you are a light sleeper, just be sure to bring some earplugs to help adjust to the echoes and creaks of the old house. Sharon is a lovely and welcoming host. She was kind enough to accommodate me for a short, same-day stay. I appreciated her continued flexibility when my arrival was delayed by 1.5hrs due to rain– it was clear she would rather I arrived safely than on time. Just goes to show her genuine kindness that others have mentioned as well. The inn is surrounded by absolutely beautiful scenery. If you enjoy the nature aspect of camping, but hate the sleeping arrangements, you'll be overjoyed to find this. For a peaceful, classic b&b getaway from city life, look no further. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Granary house! Everything was neat and tidy, and the bed slept amazing. Amy is very helpful and generous. We came to find out that she is also the owner of the apothecary beside the Granary house. A great, cozy little shop with all good herbs and such. Worth visiting! (Amy also wrote an herbal book.) We absolutely recommend this place!

great host. the place was amazing. I did mess up by not reading close enough and book a place where it had people living upstairs, but it was my laziness and honestly the family were silent through the night. if you're staying somewhere for a week or more this place has everything you need. highly recommend

My family and I had a great time at Louise's cottage. Louise herself was very sweet and took a great care of us. She was very friedndly, accommodating and treated us like her own family! The place she and Michael owns is simply amazing. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. We had everything we needed and even more for a comfortable two night stay. We enjoyed spending the time outside overlooking the lake and taking all the surrounding beauty in. Each night Louise treated us to a warm bonfire under the myriads of stars. We would highly recommend Louise's place to everyone. And hopefully we get to enjoy it again one day as well.

Beautiful spot, very peaceful and relaxing. Kids loved the pool, adults loved the views and the peace. Definitely recommend. Spiro was very responsive, and everything you would want in a host.

We had a beautiful three nights at the Carriage House! Wonderful host and beautiful cozy home to come back to from exploring and visiting friends. If we had more time we’d have definitely taken advantage of the nearby beach at low tide. Great location and easy access to the highway for day adventures. We did shediac, PEI, and Fundy over our three day stay! We couldn’t recommend it more! We hope to be back and for longer!

Our family had a wonderful time at Crystal's place! The location is stunning and so peacful! It was great having access to the firepit, dock, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. We had a great time exploring the lake and also the surrounding area. The house is only a short drive to Halifax and other beautiful attractions in Nova Scotia. The house was super clean and had everything we needed -- would highly recommend and definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Baird's Guest House! The home was so warm and inviting; we instantly felt relaxed the moment we walked in the door. Our host went above and beyond by leaving some snacks for us upon arrival, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. The house itself had plenty of space and was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the starter kit of coffee pods and cream that were provided – a perfect way to start our morning. The grounds were also beautifully kept, and we really enjoyed seeing the local wildlife around the pond area each time we drove in and out. We spotted geese, ducks, and even a heron! It added a lovely natural element to our stay. We would highly recommend Baird's Guest House to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming retreat. We hope to return someday! The Halls

Lovely little guest house with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Sydney. Bed is extremely comfortable and the space is very relaxing and quiet. Vanessa is a wonderful host, very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend and would stay again

Lovely property, peaceful, private and the house was wonderful and perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone. We had brought our dogs and this is a big property with plenty of room to walk them through the field. The house is kept very clean and plenty of rooms and beds for our group of 5.

The air bnb was spotless, the location was perfect, and it had all the amenities required. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others!

Paul’s place felt very cozy and homely. Got to see beautiful sunrises. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen had really good utensils and essentials as salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea, and sugar. We hope to be back.

Rob and Kate were very friendly. The space was perfect for myself and 2 small children. They had some of their son's toys and books available for my children to use during our stay which we greatly appreciated. We had access to a washer and dryer as well, which is a huge bonus with young ones. Would definitely recommend.

Another great stay at Krista's place! I've stayed here several times, really like the quiet surroundings, character of the unit and very comfy bed! Definitely one of the best options in the area.
