Great place to stay in an area with lots to do, close to the Shannon and lots of lakes in the area. Walkable to the middle of Ballymahon which has many pubs and restaurants but Cathal's place is quiet at night. A superb apartment to stay in with all the facilities needed for a home from home. Cathal is very helpful if you have any queries and has made a fantastic place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarahs place. Check in was easy and George met us to let us in, and he had fresh eggs, bread and milk for us. The property is even nicer than it appears on the photos, it's so cosy and comfortable. We visited during a cold snap and we were so warm and toasty the whole time, it was lovely. There is a wood burning stove with lots of logs provided, as well as central heating. The place was super clean and felt like home the second we arrived. The bed was so comfy too! Theres a nice sized smart tv with Netflix, Prime etc up in the little loft tv room (up a spiral staircase, so beware if you have mobility issues that might be out of bounds for you) Good Wifi too. The grounds are lovely, it was nice to have somewhere to walk our dog that was so peaceful and quiet. He even made friends with some of the dogs and cats around the property. I'd recommend this stay if you want peace and quiet and to switch off from the outside world for a few days.

Kate is a lovely helpful free spirit. The accommodation suited me down to the ground but is basic. The nearest pub/shop is a 30/40 minute walk. The toilet is a composting one (bucket with sawdust in it which you empty yourself.) Lots of seasonal veg is available and if you so choose you can even help around the farm. Not for everyone but if your down to earth and relaxed sort of person, youll love it.
