Monthly Rentals in Mount Vernon Square

We had a great two night stay at Craig's. It was just as described - super comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, great location. Our daughter stayed on the pull out which was also really comfortable, not the usual painful pullout. We loved walking around the neighborhood and the brownstones, walked to the Mall and museums (@40 minutes - we love walking). Also took the metro which is just a block away - super convenient. We had no trouble finding street parking (though it was the weekend). Finally, Craig was super quick to respond when we had questions.

One of the easiest airbnbs I’ve stayed at for sure. Very simple checkout process, extremely easy check in process. John was super responsive and kind- I never felt like a bother. They also had, in my opinion, the best “bnb binder” with short and sweet info and recommendations. I know that’s common, but they tend to be too wordy or full of nitpicky rules which I totally understand but it’s nice to just have simplicity. Beautiful outdoor space that I regrettably did not enjoy to its fullest extent. VERY walkable location, we walked around pretty late and never felt unsafe. Lots of yummy food in walking distance. You could easily walk to the mall and museums and either walk back or grab an uber/scooter if you’re too tired to walk back. Side note for light sleepers, they DO live above/next to the Airbnb so you can hear them living life. It didn’t bother us at all, but I can see where it might be bothersome if you’re accustomed to silence all the time and not used to “apartment noise”.

An unbeatable location, so close to the metro and anything you could need! I always felt extremely safe in this area even at night. Each nook and cranny of the apartment is smartly utilized for storage and the kitchen is completely stocked with any cooking supplies you could want! The only thing to note is that you can definitely hear your neighbors on all sides of you, so if you require lots of quiet, this may not be the spot for you. With that being said, it is still quite peaceful with the occasional noise from your neighbors.

We had an event at the convention center, and this place was a perfect find! Easy walk to the convention center and Metro stop, which meant we didn't need a car at all for our stay. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a Giant grocery store within walking distance, while still having a safe residential feel. The place is exactly as pictured, sparkling clean and modern, and felt even more spacious in person with the soaring high ceilings. I was a little hesitant being on the ground floor, but it didn't feel like a fishbowl after all, thanks to the unit being elevated a few steps up from the sidewalk (and glad not to have too many stairs to navigate!). Co-host Hanna was super responsive and friendly, I'd return again to stay anytime I'm back in town.
