Monthly Rentals in Monongahela National Forest

Melody’s Little Cabin in the Woods was exactly what my wife and I were looking for to disconnect from technology(although fast wifi was available) and reconnect with each other, and nature. We chose Melody’s accommodations because of its proximity to Big Spring Farm, and the seclusiveness of the property itself. My wife and I love the outdoors and hiking, so having some great walkable paths right outside the cabin, made for great peaceful mornings. The cabin itself was exactly as you’d expect an 1800’s cabin to feel, with the addition of the basic modern luxuries most would hope to have on a vacation. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you!

3 of us stayed at Laura's for a quick reunion on the slopes. It was a great find on relatively short notice, with easy access to the mountain. Laura was great at communicating with us prior to our arrival and her place was just exactly as described. I brought a cot for myself and the other two slept on the bed and the sofa bed. The fireplace was a great touch, and we had a fire going while we played board games and caught up before a day on the mountain. Her water was nice and hot, with all of us having plenty. The kitchen had the essentials and we really loved how the view went into the woods rather into a parking lot. We would highly recommend her place for any future visitors to Snowshoe!

Terri was the perfect host! She stayed in touch gave me heads up on locations to Trout fish, her Airbnb was exactly how she described it when you stepped in the door it smelled clean and fresh and throughout the entire house. Everything was spotless refrigerator bathrooms it was as though I was in my own house. I would highly recommend Terri and Matt for anyone wanting to visit the Durbin area ! I would give them a 10+ and we are going back in May for a five day stay for more trout fishing . Just bring your own food., Restaurants are few and far between, but there are a few in the area.

Honestly, couldn’t have booked a better place. The instructions for finding the location were incredibly clear, the house was spotless and so very beautiful, instructions on using the amenities were very precise. The view from this location is beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. Book when you can! Highly recommend this place, absolutely amazing experience.
