Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mirror Lake

Family had a great time. House was big enough and lay out was great. Kitchen and living room upstairs with bedrooms downstairs was nice. Hot tub was very nice and well used. Outside access to deck from second floor balcony from kitchen was convenient. This Lake Placid location to many high peak trailheads was only 10-30 minutes which was great. Would recommend this house for sure. Family wants to come back.

We stayed at Greg's yurt after numerous days of primitive camping at different locations around the park. This space was undeniably exactly what we needed. They had all the supplies we needed to not have to unpack the car again. The location is ideal for the region and we actually walked to Baxter mountain from the yurt then had a beer at the tavern at the bottom of the trailhead after summiting. The family of squirrels around the property are so personable and hilarious and we had a doe come and graze for dinner as we sat out on the porch for the evening. Being from Western North Carolina, it's been a hard year of survival for most of our communities after hurricane Helene leveled our mountain communities with some small towns completely gone. Our mountains and hearts continue to recover 9 months later while our lands are so vulnerable and many areas inaccessible and unsafe to traverse. Being in the ADKs at Greg's Yurt was refreshing and healing for us and we can't wait to come back!

Great place to visit, house is very cozy with large windows in the living room. Loved watching the snow from the couch with a cup of coffee. Great place to go with kids, large backyard is a great place to them to play. Emily responded quickly to all my questions. Thank you , hope to come back next year.

Mary Jo's home is truly one of a kind, and she lovingly cares for it. She is so very friendly and responsive to every communication. Her personal touches all over the home make it feel very welcoming. She greeted us upon arrival and I appreciated learning a little bit of the history of her families home. The location is amazing and within walking distance to town, all the shops and restaurants, and the beach. The property is in a peaceful, quite area. We saw a fox walk through the yard and deer across the street. The home itself is vintage 1890's, charming, and comfortable. It is more than enough space and fully equipped for a group of eight. The wrap around porch was a favorite meeting place for our family. Thank you Mary Jo, for sharing this beautiful Adirondack gem!

Our group had an all-around incredible experience at this house. The location is unbeatable, the property was beautiful and the hosts were very attentive. I hope to stay here again on my next trip to beautiful Lake Placid!

Great communication, flexibility, and responsiveness. Had a small plumbing issue and was resolved within an hour. The house was as described.

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

This place was great. I've stayed in many ABNBs and this place was very clean. It was a very short walk to downtown which was perfect to catch a music show or grab some beers at the brewery. The neighbors were nice too. parking was easy. It's a basement on 2 sides with a walkout to the street like the photos show so it's cool and darker which was great, bc I like to sleep in and I didn't get too hot at night. had a great stay. I would stay there again, and would recommend.

This place was impressive. High ceilings great heating system and a view that was tremendous. Lake Placid overview. Mirror Lake in back. Wonderful. Furniture was comfortable, bathrooms were squeaky clean. Kitchen and appliances were large and clean. This was probably one of the best places we have stayed. Lots of cold and snow this trip!!

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

My significant other & I definitely recommend this air bnb! The space was very clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The host was quick at responding for any questions we had and was helpful when we asked for recommendations. We will be back!

We highly recommend this property overlooking Mirror Lake, with easy access down to the Lake and Main Street. The backyard is well maintained, beautifully landscaped and the views of Mirror Lake and the mountains are wonderful. Street or municipal parking was convenient and inexpensive. The entire unit was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the towels were plentiful and very soft. The unit had Bosch appliances and the William Sonoma kitchen items are a classy touch. The large soaking tub and double sinks in the bathroom are a very nice plus. We appreciated the washer/dryer, snacks, beverages, and especially the Nespresso. Angela provided recommendations and any other information that was needed. I would absolutely return for a stay in this unit without hesitation.
