Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Middlesex County

As always, we had a great stay at Cockle Cottage. The place was cozy and warm with the January weather. Local restaurants and stores in Irvington and Kilmarnock were mostly open during the off-season.

The house was perfect for two couples, though sharing one bathroom required some scheduling. Nice kitchen. The location is great with an easy walk into town. A quiet neighborhood with private driveway parking added to the relaxing stay. The big plus is that this house is pet friendly. Our host communicate well and made our stay worry free.

We love the house 🏠 clean decoration beach team. We loved the fire pits for roasting s’mores the kids love the corn hold game. Lots of trees private. The views from the deck on the lake was calming. Definitely would stay again. Host was very good responsive and friendly.

Great house to stay. Very clean. Golf cart is a must. Don't have to walk anywhere. We will stay here again or maybe his other house on the island. 😁

This was my first Airbnb experience. Anthony was super responsive and the house we stayed in was perfect! Love that he had everything listed for amenities too. I forgot my toothbrush and he had new toothbrushes AND toothpaste in the bathrooms. So thankful for that! My friends and I enjoyed staying on the property very much.

We stayed for a weekend at the Oyster Cottage and had a wonderful time! The cottage was charming and comfortable- we loved the beautiful furnishings and decor, but that it still held the charm of an old home. Mary Lou clearly put time into every detail of the home, making it both beautiful and functional for guests. Unfortunately the weather was quite cold the weekend of our stay so we did not get to enjoy some of the outdoor amenities like the fire pit, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything else! The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept well each night, the kitchen had everything we needed and bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and more than enough toilet paper for our stay. The house is right off of the road, but the neighborhood is very quiet and we rarely even noticed if a car went by. The community is so peaceful, surrounded by water and beautiful marshes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Brent was incredibly accommodating and flexible. His place is great and served the purposes for what we need. It was well-appointed and had all necessary amenities. Highly recommend his place!

This is our fourth? fifth? stay at Sundar's lovely spot. Private, gorgeous beach out back, great expansive views out front with ships in the distance. Home is very comfortable. We are always there in November so don't swim, or kayak, or fish. Just enjoy the comfortable home and the walks on the beach. Sundar is always very responsive and available. Kitchen has everything you need. Appliances are great. Beds are comfortable. No clutter of owner's cast-offs which many airbnb homes have. We will be back next year!!

First I think Donna 100% underrated the place. My Grandson loved all the animals that are free to see and pet. She evens provides feed for the animals. The Pool was nice and private and clean. The loft was clean and stocked with everything you will need for a stay. We used the kitchen to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner. Had enough utensils for all. She undersold the grilling. Had a large gas grill with a flat grill attached. Charcoal grill and a gas smoker by pool. You have a private entrance from the garage and she has plenty of tools for a quick fix. Donna was great and every time see saw you she checked to make sure everything was ok. She even put snacks and drinks in fridge for us. She even paid attention that we had a child and got juice for him. DoorDash does deliver to house if you don’t feel like cooking.Patriot Grill and Sweet Tooth was our favorite. Wish I got a flight of beers at the Brewery because the one I got was just ok. Donna does adopt animals so we got so vegetable

My husband and I visited for our 7 year anniversary. It was peaceful and beautiful. We also loved getting in the wood fired sauna! This place is a dream and we cannot wait to come back!

The place is perfect for a group. Comfortable rooms, kitchen and couch area. Add in the games room and you have everything you need for fun nights. We were in the area for a sports competition and this location is only 10 minutes away.

Our stay at Brian's Place Aug 17-24, 2024 was just what we needed. The area was quiet, peaceful, and restful. The pool was used everyday; we skimmed it daily and it easily stayed clean for the whole week. My husband and sons crabbed everyday from the docks; lots of crabs caught for the week. The house was quite comfortable. The kitchen was, by far, the best equipped for a vacation rental; felt like I was right at home. The beds were quite comfortable. The whole house had lots of light. There was no TV but the internet (Starlink) was blazing fast so we brought our own devices including a TV and a Firestick...voila...access to TV! I very much appreciated the house being pet friendly as we always want to travel with our sweet pup. Restaurants we visited were Great Fortune Chinese (Kilmarnock), Horn Harbor (3 - 4 minutes from the house!) , Los Patrones (Burgess), and Crazy Crab (Reedville) ---- all with varying price points, all we would gladly re-visit. Great week, highly recommend!

My husband and I along with our 2 dogs had great weekend stay at the Williamsburg campground. The cabin was just very clean and comfortable with all we needed for the weekend. The campground itself was wonderful with plenty of things to do, although we were there to explore Williamsburg and surrounding areas. overall a great stay and would definitely return again!!

This was probably the best Airbnb stay I’ve ever had. I was royally spoiled by the host. Above and beyond food/drink/amenities. The place was immaculately clean. A comfortable bed. Quiet! The location, incredible— if it was warmer, I would’ve walked or biked everywhere. All the comforts of home plus the decadence of a fancy getaway. Definitely will come back in the summertime to enjoy the bikes and pool. Thanks for an amazing, restorative stay!

This is our billionth visit to Grateful Meadows because love it so much. I adore all of the piggies & have kinda made my namesake a bit of a lap piggy at this point. I love giving everybody treats during our stays & I already miss them. Victoria & Jonathan are the sweetest humans ever & we always feel right at home when we visit!! Love you guys & I’m sure we’ll see you again soon

Great location! Well stocked home and kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Loved the screened porch and dock. Very nice restaurants with delicious oysters in all the surrounding towns. Beautiful Chesapeake Bay!

was a very cozy and comfy place to stay. wasn't to far away from the bigger citys so it was easier to do things. 10/10 would stay again

We stayed at Kristie’s place with four adults and 2 kids. The house was the perfect size and had enough rooms (and a spacious master closet for those looking for a place to tuck a pack n’ play!). There’s a full kitchen with the basics and a beautiful private area that leads to the lake. We took advantage of using the kayaks and enjoyed movie nights in front of the large tv. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable for all of us. Kristie was responsive and offered helpful advice for things to do nearby. It’s a very short drive to the nearby towns and a wonderful place to stay. We highly recommend booking this house for your stay in Weems!

The Blue Tango was a nice place to stay with our pets. Everything was as described and worked out great for our pups. The only negative I have is that the backyard area was completely covered in leaves, so it was hard to keep the dogs from bringing them in. We did find a broom, so my husband was able to clear some of them from in front of the door. Also, the driveway really should have been cleared of snow, but I realize that snow is not a common occurrence for the area. All in all, it worked out nicely, and I would definitely stay again.

We had another amazing week at Waterman's Waypoint. It draws us back each year for an exciting time of fishing, boating, and beaching. Our kids love all the opportunities for these outdoor activities. We launched our 16-foot outboard from Steve's ramp and were able to moor it at the dock for easy come and go all week. Steve's dock is a great place to fish and drop the crab pots. Dinner plans can change at any time depending on what you catch, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking needs. The dock faces due west over Prentice Creek so a beautiful water-front sunset on a clear day is almost guaranteed. After a day out enjoying all the recreational activities mid-summer, the house provides a wonderful relief from the action. The charming nautical-themed den has comfortable couches to relax in and enjoy the air conditioning and satellite tv channels. We can't wait to return next year. Thanks for having us again, Steve!

We had a wonderful stay! Kenan was an excellent host with proactive communication and wonderful recommendations. The house was lovely and the outdoor area was beautiful! Our family enjoyed playing in the backyard, the firepit and watching wildlife off the dock. Close to Dream Fields where we were playing in a baseball tournament and kids at an amazing time at nearby Compass Entertainment. We hope to return!
