Grand suite with private hot tub.

AmberRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This a cozy and comfortable space for exploring the area. Everything was clean, the decor is fun, and every corner is appointed with care and attention. The hot tub overlooking the river is a special treat! Mary Katherine is a kind and responsive host as well. The roads definitely require 4x4 if it’s been raining, but I no problems getting in. This is a wonderful, peaceful place.

Positive Vibration - Tiny House

DanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This tiny house was perfect for a peaceful escape. It has amazing views from the front porch and would be amazing to return when we could enjoy the outside space. (When it's not too wet). The house had everything you would need, it was clean and tidy and looked better than the photos. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the city, like us. A nice little souvenir to remind us of our trip was a lovely addition.

Camp Bell, Adorable RV in Black Mountain

ErinRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I absolutely LOVE CampBell!! I’ve been staying here since last year and I absolutely love it. Perfect for a solo or duo getaway. Private and peaceful. The screened in porch is one of my favorite things! It’s only a 20 minute drive into town and it’s close to the Light Center which has amazing hiking trails. Laura is proactive host with excellent communication. Looking forward to hopefully return in November!

We loved our stay at Trails End cabin. Was in town for the lake james 5k, and the home was walkable to the Fonta Flora brewery via the trails that leads to the Overmountain Victory trail in the backyard.... huge bonus and why I picked this home! Very private and my dogs loved wandering in the yard where we could feel that we're safe. Will definitely be back again!

Our weekend stay was so cozy! This little cottage was decorated beautifully, extremely clean and quaint. The hospitality was next level. David and Margaret are so intentional, they thought of every single detail. There was fresh baked banana bread, butter, creamer, coffee and farm fresh eggs waiting for us. Truly so blessed to have found this gem. The sunrise from the porch was so beautiful. Thank you for opening your home to us, will definitely return if ever in the area again! Highly recommend. God bless you!

High Cottage Retreat At 3500ft

CandaceRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Jo's High Cottage Retreat in Little Switzerland is a lovely oasis of calm and beauty. My husband and I spent five days over the Labor Day weekend resting and relaxing in this perfect cottage. The home is beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and private—ideal for a couple's retreat. The kitchen has everything you need, including a choice of Keurig or drip coffee maker and a fully-stocked coffee/tea station, handmade muffins, snacks, and cream in the fridge. The spacious bedroom has a comfy king-size bed, lots of closet space, and a sitting area. The comfortable open living room looks out onto a large deck. We sat in the rockers on the deck and watched the hummingbirds come to partake of the large impatiens on the deck daily. We enjoyed the walks and views and look forward to the opportunity to return! Jo and Sharon were very responsive - all in all, it was a perfect visit. Thank you!

1930’s Log Cabin on Rushing Creek!

TimRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This is. a great, cozy cabin nestled along the Cattail Creek. The deck area is amazing and really sets this property apart. The listing is honest. The cabin is simple and gives you the experience of the rustic (but comfortable) getaway you were imagining. Brad is thorough and the transaction was easy, with good instructions on how to enjoy the house. We were vacationing in July, so spent much of our time on the deck next to the river and the ceiling fans kept us cool at night. It is easy to get down to Burnsville and other sites nearby (tubing, antiquing, hiking etc) and parking and driveway were easy to navigate without 4WD / AWD rental car. Would definitely stay here again when we come up to the mountain next time.
