Howling Wolf Cabin-Dog Friendly/Close to Ski Trail

EnaRating, 5 stars26 months ago
Great cabin, nicely appointed and within walking distance access to cross country skiing trails. In the winter, the driveway is very icy so it's important to take that into consideration when planning a trip.

Becky's Cabin-Dog Friendly/Short Walk to Ski Trail

AnnaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Our stay at the cabin exceeded all the expectations: the place was beautiful, cozy and very clean and had everything that we needed (great kitchen, spacious rooms and beautiful property). We had lots of fun cooking in the kitchen and playing with the kiddos in the yard. We come to Mazama yearly in May for a Sun Mountain race and to hang out with friends, and we will definitely consider booking this property for next year.

Family Friendly Log House on Trail

HelleRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is the second time we have stayed in the cabin, this time during the winter months. We again had a great stay and really liked the convenience with the XC ski trails being so close and the kids enjoyed playing in the snow and the playground. Highly recommend.

Trailside Retreat 2 bedroom cabin at Wilson Ranch

MitchellRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Amazing location adjacent to the Sandy Butte trail. Great layout with the rooms separated by the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is rather small with a tiny fridge and old stove but for us the location and large bedrooms easily made up for this aspect. We would happily stay at this location again in the winter.

Cedar Falls Cabin At The Inn At Mazama

Unbeatable location walking distance from the Mazama Store (morning coffee and pastries 😋) and community trail for biking and running. Tons of light, crisp clean beds, and well equipped for a comfy stay. Hot tub and sauna access was icing on the cake.

A Bend in the River Cabin-Dog Friendly!

MatthewRating, 5 stars21 months ago
This is a great, private spot next to the river and less than 10 minutes from downtown Winthrop. It was also a great base for hiking in the national park. We didn't contact the hosts once, as we had everything we needed. As the one who cooks, I was super pleased with how stocked it was with utensils and pans (and for once I didn't have to cook on chipped-away Teflon). We didn't bring our dog, but for a place that allows dogs, it was squeaky clean. We didn't find one dog hair!

Mountain Slopes Cabin-Dog friendly!

PhilipRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Great location in a clean and modern cabin. If you want to come here, the back room gets very warm so have the fan ready, the grill is electric which worked great for us but something to consider if you want to grill and bunch things at once

Windy Range Ranch

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Great place to stay... We were there in early January and used it as our base for going to Loup Loup, Twist, and Winthrop. Cabin setting is awesome. Driveway could be challenging without 4wd. First time I have ever had to chain up our Sequoia was getting up the driveway on our last day after it had snowed all night. However, there is an upper parking area that I could have used to avoid the situation. It would have meant hauling all of our stuff a few hundred feet up a steep snowy driveway, which sounded like more work than just putting on chains. As mentioned the cabin itself is awesome and there's good snow play for kids right on site, which we did plenty of. Brewster itself was underwhelming this time of year, so we made the hour plus trek into the Methow Valley most days, which was doable, but further than ideal. Cabin was well stocked with everything you'd expect and everything worked well. Jessica was super responsive and very welcoming. Would recommend.

Charming Rocky Top Cabin-Pet Friendly!

AmieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved our stay at Rocky Top! This cabin is extremely cute and comfy, just the right size. The gas fireplace is very cozy and helped keep the cabin very warm during the extremely cold spell that was happening while we were here. The bed is comfy. The kitchen is well-stocked. It feels homey and not like a sterile vacation rental with the worst version of everything. It's well thought out to handle ski boots and shoes in the mud room without tracking anything into the main part of the house. The heated floor in the bathroom is pure luxury. Appreciated how the views out all of the windows were private so we never felt like anyone could be peering in. Super close to a few skiing trailheads and Mazama.

Alpine View Cabin - duplex unit A w/ queen bedroom

SaraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Such a nice place to be in the winter in Mazama: a nice connection to the main trail system with a quiet woody street. High ceilings and well appointed if compact layout. Murphy bed adds another queen bed to the cabin; the loft is up a steep ladder and the bed there wasn’t made up; if you need it make sure to ask for the bedding. We were grateful that we could bring the dogs along; they had a great time too. We did have two not too long blackouts; come with a couple of extra flashlights.

Valley View Cabin at Timberline Meadows

We booked this place last minute so we could attend the Winthrop Balloon Roundup. This cabin is so cozy and has a beautiful view! Cabin location was great and was close to both Winthrop and Twisp. Owner is very friendly and responsive. Everything was clean and it was easy to check in and out. Would love to return soon!

Deer Run Chalet - Alpine Style Retreat in Mazama

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This cabin was such a hidden gem in Mazama! The photos alone do not describe how charming, clean, and spacious the interior actually is. With tall ceilings and stunning mountain views out of the west facing windows, we were blown away by the wintery sunsets and starry nights from the comfort of the warm cabin. The street was private and quiet with all the trees around us. Less than three minutes from the Mazama store, if you need anything it was no trouble. Sitting in between all the groomed cross country trails, there ski in and ski out opportunities. Comfortably fitting 6 adults and a dog, there was plenty of space for everyone. With a fully stocked kitchen (spices, oils, pans, cutting boards, coffee machine, towels, etc.) we were able to make all our meals just as we do at home. Host was communicative and helped out when one of guest was sick and needed extra time for checkout, greatly appreciated. Can't wait to book this place again. Cheers.

Valley View 2nd Floor

ToriRating, 5 stars31 months ago
This was the perfect place to stay to explore North Cascades NP. It was only about a 25-30 min drive to the popular maple loop pass trail head. It was also about a 20 minute drive to the cute little western town of Winthrop. We booked this super last minute and was pleased with the place. Super cute cabin in the woods. Check in is very easy. Looks like the pictures. No issues during the stay. Would highly recommend staying again!

Sunflower Yurt - Mazama special place

CarynRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Sunflower Yurt was Great!!! Very comfortable furniture and beds. Very warm bedding. It was easy to make the yurt as warm or as cool as we wanted; lots of options for warmth (wall heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom, thermostat in main living area, gas stove/fireplace. It was close to the store and close to the ski trails. We only used our car to get to a Sun Mt. ski area. It was very quiet and no ambient light, so great star gazing!! We will definitely rent this again sometime!! We knew this was a pet friendly cabin, and requested a good cleaning, because some of our party has allergies. They did a great job with that, and we were able to stay in the yurt with no problem. It was VERY clean!!!

Miners Refuge - Mazama retreat with mountain views

AnnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
What a unique and beautiful place! We had seen it while skiing, and were delighted to get to stay. Reading about the design of the house, we really enjoyed the mine-like touches combined with a modern feel. It was comfy and well-stocked, the skiing was fantastic, and it was a cozy spot to hang out at the end of the day.

Happy Trails: woodland retreat with sauna and deck

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Loved the location of this house. Remote but not too far from the Mazama store and access to trails. Cabin is a bit dated and there was a lot of stuff. Great kitchen for cooking and we used the grill as well!
