A perfect place to be quiet in a natural setting. The cabin has a very California wabi sabi vibe. All details in design and furnishings are high taste and high quality. The neighborhood has a natural feel, oaks all round. Birds flourish. I checked out the dawn chorus every morning to hear the first birds. It might be the Bewick’s wren, oak titmouse, spotted towhee, lesser goldfinch, mockingbird. In my two weeks I saw or heard a total of 74 bird species at the cabin or within short drives. I recommend this spot highly, and Charlie and his wife were perfect hosts.

My family and I stayed in the studio next to the main house. The location is incredible, and very peaceful. Photos do not do justice to the places :) Even though the studio shares a wall with the main house and there were guests next door, we wouldn’t hear a sounds. Definitely worth checking out!

We had a really great weekend at the Redwood Cabin! The location was great, feeling secluded while still convenient to the main roads and a short drive to the main drag of Ojai. Beautiful property that was fun to explore in between activities, and we saw Cafe the dog a few times and got to say hi. The interior is really nicely updated while still maintaining its rustic feel, and it smells amazing both inside and out. We were there for a short while so mostly dined in town, but the kitchen was well-equipped. Would recommend this place to anyone!

I enjoyed my stay here. The apartment had everything I needed for a weekend stay with my dog. Kitchen supplies are basic. Very comfortable bed. Parking is on the street which is not a problem during the day. At night it’s very dark. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance; the downtown area of Ojai is about an 8-minute drive.
