With proximity to Vänern, there is the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings with the whole family in this cottage with associated guest cottage for a total of 8 people! Bike path connects this idyll with nice beaches just 5 minutes away, bikes are of course available to borrow for the whole family! Sjötorp/Göta Kanal can be reached by bike in just over 20 minutes (car 8 minutes). Skara Sommarland, Tiveden National Park, golf course, etc. are located in the nearby area! The cottage is also a perfect stop on road 26, on the way to the Swedish mountains!

There is a fantastic cozy cottage suitable for short stays/overnight stays. Right in the vicinity of the E20 and close to shops, nature, exercise tracks and a variety of excursions at Lake Vänern. Located separately on our property, the cottage has an open plan living/bedroom, TV/wifi, fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with massage bath. Kitchen in mini format; fridge, stove top, micro and basic equipment. It is self-catering in terms of towels and sheets but is also available for hire for those who wish.

Lakeside cabin by Lake Vänern

Our cottage is located in Sundsören right by Torsöbron. It is about 15 km into Mariestad. Both Sundsören and Torsö are very scenic areas with beautiful forests, country roads and of course water everywhere! In the vicinity there is a shop, restaurant, camping and beach. We have a small patio and a large partly glazed terrace that is lovely to sit on during the evenings. There are two bedrooms of which one has a double bed and the other has a bunk bed. In the living room there are 2 day beds of 80 cm.

Unwind in this oasis and enjoy the silence in the middle of the forest on one of Sweden's smallest plateau mountains. Not far from the house is Kvarnstensgruvan, where you can explore the mines and eat something. There are many hiking trails and nice walking paths in the area. 8 km away is a swimming lake where you also can buy a fishing license. In winter, it is close to a large toboggan run.
