We loved the Cabin, the quietness and the stars at night. The gravel road is a bit bumpy but Stephanie told us that and if you go slow and follow her directions it is easy to get there and to find it. If Tootsie is awake you've got a good company for the sunset.

Absolutely fell in love with this gem of a place. Location, location so close to Big Bend National Park and across the street from multiple dining options including our absolute favorite, Venga! The house is done with beautiful wood craftsmanship and attention to detail. High end appliances, and toiletries made it feel so luxurious in the most beautiful natural setting. The view I cannot put in words of what a joy it was to experience every day. Coleman defines the art of hosting. He truly has created a beautiful oasis to experience such a beautiful area. Thank you Coleman. We will definitely be back!

We had an excellent two night (too short stay) – two person glamping experience at the Star Struck Glamping Sirius geodesic dome! We plan to do it again!! Our expectations were exceeded. We very much liked the reflective solitude and the off-grid experience. Two lessons: • We prepared a set of instructions (with map) for locating the dome. For first time users, it is a little tricky finding the location, especially at night. (Suggest first time users arrive during daylight hours). • If a user is focused on having a stargazing experience, especially the milky way, the user should schedule their time when there is no full or partially full moon. A full or near full moon washes out the stargazing experience – no milky way. Too much light interference from the moon.

Remote Off-grid Zen Desert Dome

The dome was exactly what I was looking for. Close to Big Bend, extremely private, stargazing. Info provided by host was very useful to prepare and enjoy the stay. Thomas and his co hosts went above and beyond to make sure we knew what to expect and had what we needed. Excellent off-grid setup--everything worked flawlessly and was easy to use. I will note that the entry gate has its quirks, but we got used to it and never had a problem. Visiting in May: Temperature inside the dome is about the same as the outside temp, so we spent the morning in the park and bummed around in Marfa or elsewhere in the afternoon. It was perfect for us, but Thomas did give us a heads up about the temps, which we appreciated. The fans worked but weren't enough to make the dome comfortable when temps were in the high 80s-90s. Nighttime temps were in the 60s so we were comfortable for sleep. I would definitely return and recommend this place to folks who love being off grid, with amenities. 😊

WOW!! Jakeline’s place was perfect for our visit to BBNP. She was very responsive and even provided a regular coffee maker as special request. The casita is only two rooms but both the bedroom and bathroom are spacious. We didn’t feel crowded at all. The sitting chairs are very comfortable as is the bed. The rain shower felt so good after a long, dusty day outside. The house was very nicely decorated and extremely clean. Will definitely stay there again next time we are way out west.

We LOVED staying at the Double Moon Ranch! The directions on how to get there were very clear and detailed. Everything was exactly as described. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in visiting the area!
