These pods are amazing! Much higher quality than others I've seen - the craftmanship is impressive and keeps bugs/wind out while still feeling like you're outside. The interior furnishings were also very nice, and you can tell they put real thought into all the details. The upcycled airplane seats were also a cool way to watch the night sky! We only used the outdoor showers, but the showers and bathroom area was very clean and well-maintained so it didn't feel like a campground. They had a fresh cedar smell, and the provided shower products also smelled great. Would definitely return and will recommend to anyone else travelling in the area!

This place was perfect. The location was great with a beautiful view of the sunset and accessible from the highway. All the amenities and accommodations were as described. Such a peaceful location that helped rejuvenate us from full days of sun and venturing to nearby Terlingua and Big Bend. We will definitely be back again because the value was so high and the attentiveness of the hosts.

Perfect place to watch the stars at night and super close to Big Bend National Park. Very peaceful and quiet. Responsive host and easy check-in. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!!

A great location for a peaceful stay while you explore Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Quiet while just off the road. All one needs for a stay while located in a beautiful area. We would most definitely stay again if we visit. We had a wonderful view of the night sky when the haze dispersed.

1st experience for an AirBB. Beyond meeting expectations!! Very proactive in communicating and allowed an early checkin. Wonderful tips and suggestions for the area. Cabin was comfortable, clean, and quaint! Beautiful star gazing each night. Very close to Big Bend National Park! We had the first 3 nights without neighbors in the duplex! 100% recommend for others.

My girlfriends and I traveled to Terlingua for a women's hiking adventure. The property is a little ways away from the Terlingua town. But the views, the privacy and landscape made the distance more than bearable and very worth the stay. All the rooms in the house were spacious and comfortable. Both the front and back patios were very inviting. The house is an open concept which allows everyone freedom of movement. Our beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby both nights we were there. We used the kitchen on our second night for a home cooked steak dinner. All the basic cooking tools are provided. Stephanie and Bruce were very responsive to every message we sent from the time of booking to the time of departure. They offered suggestions and made us feel comfortable and welcome. I would definitely return to Tres Patas at my next visit to the area. The views were absolutely spectacular and we even got to see the Tres Patas bear (from a very safe distance). Book now!

Martie left clear instructions for how to get there and check in. Her RV was clean and comfortable. It was a perfect location and very welcoming every night after we spent the days hiking and exploring the area. She was very responsive and eager to help had we needed anything else. Thankfully she already had everything we could ask for!

Dan and Tana’s property was above and beyond what we were looking to experience for peaceful getaway for our anniversary!! Dan was right on time with his schedule of greeting us when we made it to Terlingua and his walk through the house and things to do while there was priceless!! We will be back!!

Michelle and Mark's home was wonderful. Especially enjoyed sitting on their front porch, watching the wildlife. They were wonderful company, kind and generous hosts.

The cabin was very comfortable and perfect for us while we were visiting Big Bend National Park. It is close to restaurants, a grocery store and gas station as well as the park. We would definitely stay there again.

Super responsive host. House is comfortable and well stocked. Appreciated details like a small bench in the bathroom and plenty of towels and TP. Kitchen has everything. House is 20 minutes from the highway so if quiet is what you are looking for, it’s got it. Enjoyed the front and back porches with comfy chairs on both. Comfortable furniture in the living room, too. Lots of throw blankets… Really well stocked house.

If you want nights of completely peace and quiet this is the place, also seen a few unidentified objects in the sky super cool

There in no place in this area that provides the amount of creature comforts, privacy, star gazing, desert views, and desert vibes than this place does (remember this is in the middle of nowhere with very limited civilization in close proximity). The house is located close enough to terligua ghost town (about 7 miles) where you can find coffee shops, food, gift shops and other things to do. It is about 10 miles away from Big Bend National Park entrance. The house is private, quiet, clean, well kept and comfortable. The internet worked well, even out on the star gazing deck. Speaking of the star gazing deck, if you are looking for a place where you can sit/lay comfortably outside and look up to the heavens, while only being a short 10 yard walk from your fully stocked kitchen THIS IS IT. We spent countless hours on this deck just soaking it all in. We will 100% be staying here again for our next big bend trip.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Widow's Peak Cabin #2. It was pristinely clean, tastefully decorated and fully appointed. We cooked several meals, rested well after long, hot days in Big Bend National Park and even got some great pics of the Milky Way right from the property. It is both remote and easy to access Terlingua restaurants and shops and BBNP. All instructions were complete and communication was responded to almost immediately. We highly recommend this location especially if you're interested in Dark Skies.

This is a beautiful house in a very quiet setting. The stargazing on a clear night is incredible. The house itself is well-maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with a few basics, including coffee, filters, and sweetener, as well as a few spices and salad dressings likely left behind from others. The bathroom is large, clean, and modern; although the shower floor can be very slippery when wet so be careful. Please note that the last mile of the drive to Crystal Mountain is a rough, one-lane dirt road, which can be compromised after bad storms. I would never recommend anything other than a 4x4 vehicle to this lodging.
