Tiny Terlingua is just minutes from the historic Terlingua Ghosttown, conveniently situated between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. This solar powered house is tucked away privately on the corner of five acres with plenty of room for enjoying a campfire, viewing the night sky and watching an amazing sunrise. Come experience tiny house living powered by the sun.
“Tiny Terlingua is awesome!! The property is well thought out with shaded areas throughout the day. The landscaping makes you feel you have found an oasis in the unforgiving desert. The house cools down very fast, even during the hottest part of the day. The dirt road that you use to access the property is rough, however any vehicle can be used without any worry. Carmen has done a fantastic job of providing all the amenities in both main house and the bath house. Terlingua is about 15 minutes from Big Bend and the town offers everything you need for your trip. Carmen left a book with detailed instructions on how to make the most of the off grid/solar powered house. Follow those guidelines and you will have a wonderful, relaxing experience.”
Update: I am blocking out the day before guests arrive and the day after departure. This gives the Caravans a good rest period of 24-48 hours between guests Along with a deep clean before you arrive I take my temperature, wear a mask at all times when inside cleaning. I'm staying home with very limited contact with the world. I take every precaution to make sure the Caravans are safe for you. A fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need to cook all your meals. You never have to leave!
“Fabulous location with great views of other camps that make you feel like you are living in another time. The caravans are situated just outside the ghost town but close enough to walk to restaurants and the sights. Everything on the property was exactly as described, and we were very comfortable during our stay. Kym is extremely responsive and helpful. On the day we arrived, the national park suddenly announced it would be shutting down until further notice. She let us know immediately that if there was something we absolutely wanted to see, to get out there that evening before the lockdown went into effect....then provided us with plenty of ideas to keep us entertained for the next few days. Big thanks for that heads up. Santa Elena Canyon was a stunner! If you want a quiet weekend away where you can truly disconnect, this is the place. Make a campfire, ignore the wifi access, and just breathe in the fresh desert air while taking in the mountainous surroundings. If your stay happens to fall during a full moon, don't miss the opportunity to watch it rise up into the sky from "behind" the mountains in the distance. Truly incredible. I would definitely stay here again!”
Each room at La Posada Milagro is unique. All rooms share understated luxury while maintaining the rustic and special feel of the Terlingua Ghostown. You'll find smooth linens, fluffy towels, lots of amenities, and an extraordinary amount of peace and quiet on top of some amazing views of the Chisos Mountains from the rooms and our outdoor areas. Large with queen bed, a private bath with amazing views, and outdoor seating areas both shaded and unshaded. Access to the outdoor kitchen.
“We had a fantastic stay in Terlingua and in Mimi's Guestroom. The atmosphere is perfect for recovering from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoying the tranquility of a ghost town. The perfect location near the Starlight Theater guarantees fun evening entertainment with live music, drinks and good food. And then... hang out by the campfire, enjoy the night sky, let your soul dangle... and in the morning you can admire a beautiful sunrise straight from your bed... life couldn't be nicer... If the opportunity arises we will definitely come back. Many thanks for the wonderful stay.”
