Stunning place to stay and relax with or without kids. Theres lots of space, plenty of beds too. The view is absolutely stunning and the spa pool is such a great addition to the place. I would recommend that you take lots of food for the duration of your stay as the nearest supermaket is quite a drive away. They do have a yummy fish and chip shop and a dairy for your daily needs :) absolutely worth staying here!

I loved staying here so much. So beautiful, right on the beach, can't ask for better than that. The view from the deck and inside was so nice. You can hear the waves inside the unit. The cable bay store is very close. Such a lovely place in the far north. I would love to stay here again.

Loved every minute of our stay. The scenery is captivating as the houses are nestled at the base of Orowhana, facing directly towards Te Kohuroa. The hot tub was a hit, we kayaked, made pizza, enjoyed the fruit trees and fire place. Hamish, te kaitiaki, was very accomodating and helpful. The beds are comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need. Also loved that every wharepaku had bidets! I could spend weeks, months or even years here haha. It has all the things you need for an incredibly rejuvenating glamping/retreat. We will definitely be back.

Stunning week away over Easter. We arrived a few hours after a cyclone, which meant no power and water. Anneke was great with all communication about the situation. We chose to stay hoping the power would be back on soon. The next day it was. Meanwhile, Anneke bought us wine and coffee and then arranged a generator so we could shower and charge phones etc. Then we had six glorious days of sunshine with the odd shower. We love walking, so explored all the local walks in the booklets and info guide. Every afternoon we relaxed on the deck just watching the ocean and boats. We ended our days with an outdoor bath, which was Devine. Anneke was a wonderful host. A true legend. The Bach was beautiful, clean, new and private. Highly recommend.

Wonderful bach, secluded (except for a cute weka in the garden) and with beautiful views over the bay. Kitchen well stocked and comfy beds. Would highly recommend!

A great place to stay with a larger group, plenty of privacy when you need to get away, but also great areas to gather at different times of the day. The hosts are super responsive and accommodating. I would suggest this stay to anyone who wants to experience the magic of Northland. Great walks, swimming, fishing (if you are into that) and even local surf break....also coffee in the village was great.

This is our second stay here, and we are drawn to this peaceful area not only for its serenity but also for its stunning views. Additionally, the house is impeccably clean. We also extended our stay by an extra day on short notice, and Debbie was instrumental in accommodating our request. Chris and Garth were kind, responsive and welcoming hosts. We booked short notice and they had the room ready early and even thought to make up the extra bed when they learnt I had a teen travelling with me. The space itself is lovely. It is bigger than it appears in the photos, and is extremely well equipped with entertainment, full sized furniture for just a couple or a small family, and the most beautiful gardens to relax in. The bnb is set well away from the house, so it feels private, and the garden setting makes everything feel so tranquil! Location is 10/10 and if you have a fur baby travelling with you, it will be well taken care of too! Ours loved exploring the gardens as well as the beautiful local walks along the river. We are excited to make a yearly trip back to this accomodation.

Our stay at Margaret & Lou’s property amazing. As myself and my partner are visiting my parents who live in another part of Northland and we wanted them to see Paihia which they did as we had the most amazing views. Thank you ☺️

We loved our stay at Grants place. The house is on the most peaceful street with the beach and a sand dunes walk right next door. We loved watching the sunrise from our bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped and we made delicious meals and ate on the deck with a view. Clean and spacious throughout. We had many things to see in the north and this was a great location to do so and the recommendations from Grant were great. What a gem location! Grant was great to deal with from beginning to end and the price can’t be beat. I highly recommend this lil slice of paradise to anyone coming to see the north or just anyone looking for a peaceful holiday.

If it were possible we'd give this place 10 stars! You won't regret staying here, at your own private slice of Taupo Bay paradise. We had a lovely stay – the house was perfect for our group, with plenty of space and a great layout. It’s well-equipped, beautifully located, and the views are stunning. Despite the wild weather, it was a relaxing place to unwind. We were lucky with sunshine on our last day and made the most of the lawn, trampoline, and pool. The house isn’t a show home and could use a refresh in places, but it’s comfortable, homely, and ideal for groups. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would absolutely stay again – I bet it's even better in sunny weather!

This home is awesome, so close to everything and has everything you need. Unfortunately, the pool heating wasn't playing ball but we were able to take advantage of the spa.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

Ideal for our group of golfing guys looking for a comfortable house with individual beds and close to all local amenities. Awesome outdoor area to have an end of day catchup before walking into Paihia for dinner. The next time we head north we will want to stay here again.

Truly excellent stay, Ian and Sue were lovely and the apartment so comfy and clean. We can’t wait to stay there again. Definitely do not miss the sunrise and the hidden beach!

I booked this accommodation for my colleagues, and it was perfect for their needs while working away from home. The communication with the hosts was excellent and made the booking process and any adjustments extremely smooth and easy. I would definitely book again in the future.

We spent 6 nights at this wonderful resort/Airbnb and we thoroughly enjoyed it! It definitely had that hotel/resort feel, it was very private and spacious everything was perfect for our big family of 6. The air con was super useful and strong and the views were truly beautiful. One thing to note is that the pool is a bit of walk from room 84 but it was enjoyable walk. Also listing notes a King bed in each room but there was only a double in one room and 2 singles in the other. Location is literally a hop and skip from the main township which was super convenient! Parking was literally outside your door and the resort has great facilities for a memorable summer holiday! Highly recommend to all if you're looking for a great stay in Paihia! Thanks Joop!
