House vacation rentals in Madalena do Mar

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly equipped, there is really nothing missing. The views over Calheta are stunning and the pool was a real highlight. Everything was clean, modern and very well maintained. Absolutely recommended – we will be happy to come back!

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

The accommodation is great, everything as described and in the photos. It is a bit dated, but we felt very comfortable there. Bruno gave us a very warm welcome and showed us everything we needed to know. When there was a problem with the water pump on the second day, he sorted it out very quickly. We can highly recommend the accommodation.

The stay was amazing, Jose was very cooperative and helped when we needed things to be fixed or done. He helped us check in very smoothly despite our flight being delayed. He is an amazing host, and the house is incredible.

Everything was perfect! The host was super friendly. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, the place was clean and exactly as described. When we had a small issue, the host responded quickly and solved it right away. Check-out was just as easy. Would definitely stay again!

The house was great and the outdoor area with the swimming pool and the barbeque was amazing. Most of our meals were there and we loved it! You definitely need a car to reach the house and to move around, but if you are ok with it, I totally recommend this place. Many great walks/levadas, the sandy beach of Calheta and the beautiful Paul do Mar are within easy reach with a car too.

Beautiful house with great views of the valley. Close to a beautiful levada hike (levada do moinho) and has a small coffee shop steps from the house. Private parking with a garage was super convenient for our family as well. Danny was always super quick to respond. I would recommend Danny’s place

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were hosted very well by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and communication was great. It took 8 minutes to drive to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and, personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

The hosts were really cute, there was a quick response from them and they were waiting for us at the entrance. At the end of your stay, they even brought us a little souvenir gift from the island. Great apartment, we had a private parking, the hosts really respected our privacy. We will undoubtedly be back there in the future.

We liked the place and felt very comfortable. Communication was friendly and fast and we were provided with all the information. The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and a bottle of wine and water and a traditional spice cake were ready for us as a welcome. We were very pleased about that. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. I would like to highlight the showers, which were not only very spacious, but also the fantastic water pressure, which made showering very pleasant. The complex is designed around the parking lot, so that units 1-5 are below the parking lot and the large 6 (the house we stayed in) is directly connected to the parking lot. So you always have a free parking space, no matter when you arrive. The village character of the place occasionally leads to dogs barking and the rooster crowing, but that didn't bother us. We will be back.

Absolutely loved our stay here for the week! We loved the ability to walk into town and grab food at any time. We found a number of great restaurants! We also loved being within the energy of the town of Camara De Lobos. It was very warm, welcoming, and vibrant. We loved the home and felt it was clean, beautiful, and the perfect opportunity to slow down life and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The breeze was able to keep us cool (mid February visit for us), the sound of the ocean helped us drift off peacefully, and we enjoyed the opportunity to lounge in the sun on the many decks available. Parking was simple and free right around the house. We had very prompt communication and felt very supported. Overall the location was a great spot to adventure to the rest of the island. If we ever return to Madeira this is where we will be staying!

We met Hugo, who is super friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help answer questions regarding the home or recommendations for activities and restaurants in Madeira. The home is as described and as shown in the photos - completely clean and beautifully decorated with everything you need for a holiday in a quiet setting. A great stay that I can only recommend others, too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The view and atmosphere are incredible. We were very comfortable here, and the welcome basket was a very pleasant surprise, perfect for an evening meal. We highly recommend this home if privacy and relaxation is what you are looking for after a long day of hiking and exploring!

This stay is in an incredible location and is extremely comfortable. Highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the busy cities. It can be a bit difficult to park due to the nearby waterfall that attracts a lot of people, but was never a serious issue for us.

Highly recommend! We had a fantastic time at this beautiful Airbnb! The house is a dream – very large, clean and with great amenities. Particularly noteworthy is the fantastic pool, the well-kept outdoor area and the breathtaking view of the sea, which makes every morning a highlight. A special thank you goes to Tatjana and Ana. She was incredibly friendly, always helpful and made the stay even more enjoyable with her excellent service. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and contact was also straightforward and professional at all times. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would come back anytime! Beautiful, newly renovated place. Pleasing and soothing colors. Fabulous view and ocean sound. Excellent water pressure (best shower of the four places we stayed!) and very comfortable bed. Like so much of Portugal, narrow and somewhat steep stairs, but not problematic. Easy walk to market and restaurants. Short drives (20 minutes) to lots of hiking, and about a 35 minute drive to Funchal. We had a great time here, and highly recommend for a couple!

The accommodation was clean, the owner was kind and left a lot of things for a company of 4 people (tea, coffee, lots of towels and toilet paper). There are a lot of dishes and utensils for cooking at home. The owner also responds to messages very quickly and it is pleasant to communicate with him. I recommend

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet location, ideal for relaxing. Private parking, well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. On the terrace, the sun shines until 9 pm with a view of the sea and the mountains.

Great apartment, and we'd recommend it without any doubts! The location is perfect. Amazing views. The huge terrace/balcony is a nice place for morning coffee, breakfast, or cosy evenings. The apartment is well-equipped with everything you would need. We felt like we were at home, not in a rented apartment. The host was very responsive and helpful, and even helped with a birthday surprise for my wife :) 100 %!!!

From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed by Fernando. The villa is situated in a beautiful and quiet location, offering amazing views and a lovely pool that's perfect for cooling down. You can really feel the warm hospitality of the host right away. During our stay, we had a small issue with the toaster, and Fernando replaced it immediately — a great example of his attentiveness and care. We had a peaceful and relaxing time, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene getaway. Please note that the ascent to the house is quite steep, but this is completely normal given the island's topography — and the views are well worth it! Highly recommended.
