We had a lovely stay at The Nest! Brilliant base to explore the lakes. Clean, tidy, and the shower is lovely and hot! Would definitely stay again! Julie and Tim were lovely hosts, we stayed over Valentine’s Day and Julie knocked on the door with a bottle of drink and chocolate, so kind! Will be recommending to people xx

A lovely large house with a private garden at the top of the slope with views across the hills. The house was just as described in the details, it was spotlessly clean with good sized beds and nice linen. the kitchen was well equipped and the living - dining room was large an comfortable. The private garden at the top of the property was a real bonus for some peace and quiet in the sun and to watch the local wildlife. Michelle was an excellent host with great communications and responded immediately to an questions we had. We had an excellent week, with plenty of space for our group of 5 adults. - Many thanks Michelle.

Beautiful cottage in a great location We had a lovely 3 night stay and enjoyed visiting Ambleside & Bowness There’s some amazing views The hot tub was amazing the seating area outside could do with a clean Just a few little downsides to our stay The cottage is dog friendly we visited with my sister and Moms dogs and the gardens where not secure they had open fencing. Inside the cottage there where a lot of cobwebs around most windows and up corners of ceilings. We didn’t cook at the cottage as we ate out but the microwave and oven were not the cleanest. The bathrooms could do with some hand soap as most places I’ve visited before provide this. On day of departure it is requested that you strip the beds the duvet on our bed had a very large stain on maybe it would be an idea to use duvet protectors It’s not the cleanest of places it needs some TLC, however we did not spend much time at the cottage so didn’t disrupt our visit to the lakes.
