The Old School House is a treasure! Compact, clean and stylish. Everything you could wish for - and more. The sunny, private patio outside the french doors is an idyllic place for alfresco eating and enjoying not only the splendid countryside views but also the very pretty garden with beautiful and interesting plants. The hosts are friendly and congenial. Definitely a place to stay again.

Beautiful cottage with Nice garden to relax in after activity packed days. Beds perfect to rest for yet another full day of exploring Devon. The cottage is thoughtfully decorated and has everything you wish for. Though I would rather keep it a secret, so we will not find it booked the next time

This was our second stay at Brambles cottage and will not be our last hopefully. Sophie is so friendly and helpful and has such a lovely place. The grounds are beautiful with lots of wildlife to sit and watch including a close by family of blue tits with three little babies. The cottage itself is so comfy and homely. We loved sitting at night and having a bbq on the patio and breakfasts at the picnic table. The beds are so comfy and the curtains keep the rooms super dark so it’s easy to have a lie in. We also walked into a kitchen with a delicious lemon drizzle cake which was much to our kids excitement (and ours).

The cottage was delightful. And, the bonus was a large, fully enclosed garden which was perfect for our dog! (Luckily, we were blessed with gorgeous, sunny weather). It is a great location for visiting Devon’s beaches and towns and plenty of local walks. Cheryl is a very friendly and helpful host, and we were greeted with a welcome cream tea, newly laid eggs and some doggy treats. A lovely, personal touch. We highly recommend a visit here.
